I know the prices have gone up so I removed the menu photo I took two years ago. FYI.. the price is now $12.99 if you want two of them and $8.99 for only one. You also get a choice of fries, chips, or coleslaw. Since we're diabetic, we can't really eat anything but the coleslaw and it was served in a very small cup. The sloppy Joe was good and the sauce was only slightly sweet. It was not what I expected, however they were delicious and worth trying at least once. Will have to come back another day and try one of the other specials. Our waitress was very nice and she took our order right away, brought us our drinks, and we did not wait long for anything. My always gf raves about the mozzarella sticks bc she grew up in Elk Grove and would get them all the time. So we have ordered them quite a bit and they are delicious. That is what drew us to go and try more foods. With that said we were so excited but got shot down off that high horse. We tried the Italian trio: only thing I ate was the beef. The meatball and sausage texture was horrible and I couldn't take another bite. Did not care for their gravy. Also saw that everyone ordered the pizza so we got one also. Presentation was great but flavor was lacking. So bland. And again the sauce they use on their pizza I did not care for. Too sweet. I guess it depends on which part of Italy for are from bc I do not like sweet gravy. Best past about the experience was the cheese curds and cheese fries, basic. I ordered water and looked over the menu, just in case something other than wings popped out, but I decided to stick to their jumbo wings. As the manager brought me water, I mentioned to him that I was ready to order, I asked him about which sauce(bbq or honey bbq) is better, he made his recommendation (which was just bbq) and off I placed my order. I must admit the wings came out fairly quick and they were clearly hot, made to order, but that's about where the good stuff ends... The wings were not that great, the sauce was average at best and the wings were not jumbo at all, looked average size, frozen out of the bag, kind, sort the size of what the big chain would have... I ordered a southwest salad which was supposed to have oven roasted corn, olives, peppers, cheese, and chicken with tortilla strips. When I received my salad, it was chicken and a bit of lettuce with Parmesan cheese. I told the waitress that it was missing the corn and olives and the word. Definitely very few tortilla chips in there. She checked with the kitchen, apparently was out of corn. How could you be out of the main ingredient of a salad and why would you not tell your client before you served it that it was missing corn and olives. Then they had the nerve to charge me full price for a better lettuce with the piece of chicken. When I asked the waitress if I could have avocado, she told me there would be an additional charge. Went for dinner and to watch the game the other night. Nicole was drunk by the time the game started and continued to take shots with the people at the bar throughout the game. We waited 30 mins for our drinks and had to ask her twice for them after ordering. The table next to us waited an hour for a menu. Even the manager seemed unenthusiastic about her performance. Heaven forbid you are not a "regular". During this current snow storm from the North Pole, I showed up around 3:30. I was staying with friend instead of driving 45 minutes in the blizzard. Sat at the bar. Asked for a Bud. Out of Bud. Went for an IPA, got handed a half pint of foam, keg "popped". Went to play slots. 25 minutes later, keg not changed, as the bartender changed shifts and could care less!! Only knew because the new bartender tried, keg still empty. All this, but all the "regulars" got all they needed!! Food, drinks, and attention from the bar staff. Dropped $50 in slots. Finally got a full beer 45 minutes after I arrived. If you are not a "regular", don't go. They could care less about you if they don't know you. Doesn't matter if you add to their casino total, you are persona non grata if just a one timer. UPDATE: The bartender who left apologized for forgetting me. As I said, big snow storm and he wanted to get out and safely get home. I upped my review by 2 stars just for this. I've never, in all my posts, been directly addressed by the person or entity in error, and I found this a very classy move on his part. My friend and I stopped in for lunch and found our 2 menus looked identical, but the prices were not the same. My friend's menu's prices were higher than mine. Price hikes are understandable, but the prices were higher by $3.00! Over $11.00 for a pretzel is ridiculous. An order of onion rings were over $11.00 too and you barely got any onion rings. This place is pretty damn good. Came here a month ago for a friend of a friends birthday. The service was great. We had a huge group going on in like the whole front left corner of the place and our server managed it very well for it being like 30+ people. Came to drink -which I did! Pitchers, count me in! Service, quality and cleanliness has gone down hill since the previous owner sold. Very sad to see. Dust is everywhere, floors are dirty, table and bar tops are sticky. The attention to detail that once made this a popular restaurant seems to have left with the previous owner. Food is standard bar food but prices have increased while quality has not. Steps of service are non-existent. Male bartender is rude, lacks attention to his customers and has no business being behind a bar. What is wrong with me? Am I too critical of eat out joints? Do I have some sort of Eatery Personality Dysfunction Disorder? I walked into the place and asked the waitress if I could be seated in a quiet area. She put me in the bathroom. No...just kidding. She did place me in a quiet area of the restaurant. My friend was with me and was so impressed with the menu. It's so BIG I kept hearing. Hmm. Anyway, I am a reviewer of truth and try to be humorous when possible. I surveyed the menu and as in the lobby it had all sorts of Best This Best That...in fact, they have the WORLD'S BEST italian beef. I wondered outloud to my friend, who is deciding these claims? Do I believe them because they say so? Now, if I suffered from some sort of disorder related to people of authority, I would have to order the cheese sticks because the menu reads a person has to try them. I asked my friend, if they want you to try them, why do you have to pay for them? Maybe it was a typo and the menu designer meant, you have to BUY them. They were terrible anyway. She came to their defense saying they were on WGN. I asked her the cheesticks were on WGN? For how long? I decided I was going to try the 1/2 burger which was advertised as 100% fresh daily. I thought since I have had 100% fresh burgers before, I would ask where the meat came from. The waitress OWEN who was rude and snippy from the start said she didn't know. I responded politely, I asked only because when I lived in Elizabeth and had a burger at the Old Towne Saloon, I knew the owner raised her own cattle, had them processed, and I knew they were fresh daily. OWEN's response? Oh...this isn't some bumpkin town or another insulting personnal negative comment. The meat is frozen and comes in from one of two places. She didn't know where the meat came from. I would think that is something a waitress should know if they are going to brag about it being FRESH DAILY. Which is apparently is not. Maybe the menu designer made another typo and meant Defrosted Daily. I wonder if she would have punched me out if I asked if it was corn or grass fed beef which the other waitress I mention further down would have known. I asked for a few minutes to decide which she begrudingly gave me. She came back and asked me what I would have and I said, well, I do YELP reviews and will put my life on the line and give the 1/2 pound burger a try. Not even a little smile. Oh...man...Dangerfield would have died if she was his audience. To be honest, the almost perfectly happed and thickeness round burger patty was not that bad. I did not need to add mustard or ketchp for flavoring. Just a touch of salt and pepper because it had no real taste to it. I know there are many different taste buds out there, so many cooks need to provide bland food which looks good. I will give 4 stars to the tomato. It was delicious and quite refreshing. To be fair to OWEN's inability to be kind and respectful, I thought maybe she was the only waitress on duty. I asked the busboy. He said no. There were others working. That reminded me of going to Taco Tuesdays at Jugs. There would be at least 60 people in the place and 1 yes, ONE waitress and she not only had a smile on her face but she engaged in conversation AND bantered back. We knew she was working hard. She knew where her money was coming from and she must have made a ton of it. For we all appreciated her and had no issue leaving gratuities way over the 20% level. This restaurant representative was not someone I would want again for a server. I almost walked out of the restaurant when she insulted people she did not even know. Are city people really that better than people from small towns? The ones who farm and provide food to us? I don't know to many people from where I live now who can butcher a live steer, or break a chicken's neck. My friend kept me there reminding me I was to write a truthful Yelp review and needed to suffer if it was required. So, I did. No, I did not suffer, but I did find not only was she rude and snippy, she also did not listen well. When we were done, she asked if we wanted to box what we had. I responded jokingly, if you have gloves big enough. Now, in Jugs, the waitress would laugh because she heard comments like that all the time. She needs training, or maybe it is just the area she is unhappy with. Maybe she was having a bad day my friend said, but I reminded my friend, the OWNER of the restuarant I would guess would have the same thought as I do, if person is having a bad day and they are caring for the public, they can have all the bad day they want, but to keep it in the back room. Owner or Owners of Coaches, drop all the claims in the menu. They are not impressive at all. Maybe have a sit down chat with OWEN and explain how to be polite to customers and listen to them. Just ordered their delivery service. Got their Buffalo chicken sandwich, and their grilled cheese. Added some pretzels and wings on the side. It hurts to say, but this was a horrible choice. The chicken sandwich I got was suppose to be "hot" it had no noticeable sauce, it was basically a grilled chicken breast on bread. The grilled cheese was on rye bread and just not good, how do you mess up grilled cheese? The chicken wings were also very meh. But probably the best thing they had.
