Sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes Mac and cheese with Texas toast.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this place. Let's break it down. I got the sirloin steak (it was a little over cooked I wanted it medium and it was more medium well but it wasn't horrible) I was able to choose 2 sides so I went with loaded mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I would have preferred a loaded baked potato but I get why they don't have them this town is small so maybe they don't get enough people wanting them. Not sure but it overall was pretty good. I would come back for the food. The atmosphere was good as well I am a middle ish aged guy and they were playing classic rock. Pretty good. There were two servers they were both attentive and nice.

No AFC championship game at a sports bar. Whaaaaattttttt? Five TVs with gymnastics and two with basketball. No Bengals or Chiefs. The food was good. Nice garden salad and pasta dish.

On the "interstate" restaurant list sign...didn't realize it was over a mile off the beaten path. Here on a Thursday, 59 cent wings. We got the Siracha Glaze & the "medium." The SG were lovely hot - just enough to tingle the lips. The "medium" were less hot & had a vinegarish flavor. We liked the homemade chips but would have liked them a little more crisp. The slaw was good but a little wet. Draft beers but no craft beers. I got a bottle of Yeungling IPL which I hadn't tried before. Not bad. We liked being able to watch one of the bowl games while sitting at the bar.

Just saw this place listed while on our way to Wilmington. Easy to access. Good food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices Would stop here again for sure.

Service was excellent, sweet tea was fantastic. Everyone raves about their burgers and they looked really good. The guy next to us seemed really happy with it. We had to have a typical North Carolina hot dog with mustard, onions, chili, and slaw. They were ok, but definitely would be in 2nd pace to Mac Daddy's in Cross, SC. Would like to stop by here again and try the burger or wings. I would recommend stopping in if you are traveling through Biscoe, NC.

    Delicious American Burger.

I did not like the food there. However; someone told me the hamburgers are good. So I'm going back again.

I read the great reviews of this place online , so I had to come see for myself. It's a small brick building on the side of Andrew Jackson Hwy in Laurel Hill. Small parking lot with plenty of business. They have a small indoor dining area that is a bar top facing the windows. A couple of picnic tables outside , which is where I ate mine. I got the Double Cheeseburger with Crinkle Cut Fries and a can of Pepsi. The burger patties were nice and thick and juicy. Hot and fresh tasting with lettuce and tomato. If you want a Traditional North Carolina Slaw Burger they can do that too. The Crinkle Cut Fries were hot , fresh , and tasty. I prefer Crinkle Cut or Steak Cut Fries , so this was a plus. The employees were also nice. They have so much other food to choose from. Bbq Pork Sandwiches , Burgers , Hot Dogs , Sausage Dogs , Corn Dogs , Fried Bologna Sandwich , Pimento Cheese Sandwich , Chicken Wings , Hamburger Steak Plate , Chicken Salad , Chicken Sandwich , Fried Okra , Fries , Onion Rings , Baked Beans , Green Beans , Slaw , and Mashed Potatoes , and more. So don't pass by this place on the way to the beach or elsewhere. Make sure to stop and get you some good ole Carolina Food made with Love.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

The melted cheese was dripping over the sides, the bun was soft and fresh, and every bite just kept getting better. The fries deserved their own round of applause. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so addictive I kept telling myself, "Just one more"... about 30 fries ago. I don't know what kind of magic they're working back there, but they absolutely nailed it. This wasn't one of those burgers you eat because you're hungry--this was the kind you eat in complete silence because you're too busy enjoying every bite. On top of the amazing food, the service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have covered outdoor picnic tables with fans running overhead, which was a really nice touch. It made sitting outside comfortable even on a warm day and gave the place a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Safe to say this place has officially ruined mediocre burgers for me.
