Place needs to update their hours of operation. We done wasted time to get there just to find out they closed an hour earlier than posted online. Even left the front door open to just come in. And to top it off.... The smart aleck workers with their sass and sarcasm

I have been wanting to try this restaurant but it's a little off our regular path. We were in the area on Sunday and decided to stop by. It was mid afternoon so they were not very busy. The dining area offers both booths and tables. The walls are lined with big screen TVs as you would expect with different baseball and football games being broadcast. I ordered a burger which came with fries. I thought the fries were just awesome! They were mildly seasoned and screaming hot and crispy- just like I like them. The burger was nice and thick cooked perfectly. It was a tad salty for me and I don't know if it was the chili or the burger. The slaw was okay. My husband had the burger and fries as well. I would definitely return just for the fries. The negative for me was how extremely cold it was inside. I don't know if the heating system was not working properly or if they just maintain a cold dining room. I had to stay bundled up in my coat and was still uncomfortable. The interior is pretty dank and except for the TV screens lacks any ambiance. Since I don't frequent bars that may be typical but I do enjoy a at least having a comfortable temperature.

The third (possibly fourth?) restaurant to grace this space, Coach's is part of a rapidly expanding chain of sports bars/restaurants. The menu is pretty standard, featuring everything from fried pickles and nachos to wings and steaks. There are a lot of salads that provide a lot of bang for a price tag under $11. My party tried an assortment, including the surf and turf (6oz sirloin with six Cajun seasoned shrimp). The steak was ordered medium and came out very well done. It came with two sides, and I chose mashed potatoes and roasted corn. The roasted corn was the highlight of the meal, but the shrimp were also good. Another in party ordered the apple pecan salad (which was huge), and it was tasty. The chili on the nachos was too sweet for my tastes. There were some hiccups at checkout, and the overall experience took about two and a half hours. The server was apologetic about the wait, and she was very nice. Overall, Coach's is a place I would happily try again.

Sat at the bar. Great choice as they are way understaffed. Appetizers were good but would probably not go back as service was very slow

The food was good. The ambiance was quiet during lunchtime but the service was incredibly slow. They only had one lady serving tables.

Carry out order while staying at the nearby hotel. Food was very good and modified as ordered. I'd go there again.

This place is huge! If you tell someone you are meeting them there, you better specify specifically…read morewhere, because there's an outdoor area, a downstairs indoor that is more like a pool hall, and multiple upstairs areas. Anyhow, I found myself here after a hot day of golf outside of town, and this was the perfect place to please everyone, get a cold drink, and something tasty to eat. Beverage wise, I was too dehydrated to jump into beer, so I just pounded a bunch of water while there. Food wise however, we had lots of tasty things. The hot chips app that comes drizzled with bbq sauce and ranch is better than it sounds, though I preferred the pickle chips for sure. To me, the star here were the wings. They were nice and large, plump with plenty of meat. I had a korean sauce and a hot honey sauce and thoroughly enjoyed all 10. Maybe even had a leftover drummy or two from some of my companions. Would come back here for more casual eats and drinks again!

The draft list was only accessible by scanning the QR code. Not normally an issue for me but it was a little annoying since my cell service wasn't great in this area. I finally got it to pull up and asked for the Angry Troll PB Porter (I forget the name), the waiter asked if I wanted a sample first and I was so happy he did because it was not very peanut buttery to me. I decided to try a can of Docs: Pumpkin cider which ended up being a MUCH better choice for me. It was delicious. We started with some cheese curds as an appetizer. The kids split a kids cheese pizza (it comes with fries) and my bestie and I split a Philly Cheesesteak pizza. The cheese curds were amazing! I didn't try the kids pizza although the fries seemed a little over seasoned, especially since they were served to kids. My Philly pizza was not great though. The primary taste was banana peppers. Not meat, not cheese...the vinegar-y, sour taste of banana peppers. I was not a fan. Then the bill comes....I guess I should have asked for the price of the cider (NONE of the beer has a price listed.) My CAN of Doc's cider was $9.50. Not sure if that's normal in this area but in Durham, that can would have only been $6 (MAYBE $7.) TLDR; service - good, drinks - expensive, food - hit or miss.

When we were seated, we were offered 3 different table choices instead of being brought to a table. A general area was indicated and since neither of us had been here before, it was a bit chaotic. Had to wait a few beats for a server, but she was friendly when she arrived. We started with the potato skins which were all topped inconsistently - some had more cheese, some more bacon, and some skimpy all around. My friend got the burger and she said it was delicious. I got the steak grilled cheese which was salty and the meat wasn't easy to consume. I was under the assumption this would be more of a grilled cheese, but it was really bread with melted cheese and steak stuck in between. We both got fries and we did enjoy those. The decor is of Wilkes over the years which was pretty cool. I did notice the sign above our table had Wilkes misspelled - I don't know if that was a typo of the town had a different name previously. I'm unsure if I'd choose to come back here again. If so, I'll probably try a burger.
