I felt that option should have been discussed during the initial phone calls so I could make an informed decision before the appointment. After I posted my original review, the owner personally came back to my home to make things right. He offered to refund the $100 price difference, but I declined because I didn't feel it was fair after the work had already been completed. Instead, he replaced two breakers that genuinely needed replacement at no charge. I really respect a company that stands behind its work and makes the effort to address a customer's concerns. While I still believe the pricing options should have been explained upfront, I also believe it's important to recognize excellent customer service when a business takes responsibility and follows through. Using advanced diagnostic tools and a systematic approach, they pinpointed the root cause quickly and clearly explained what would be required to fix it. What stood out most was their honesty. It would have been easy to push for an expensive repair, but instead, they suggested giving a try with the builder's electrical contractors before committing to their proposed work, as the house is relatively new (3 years), though it is out of the builder's standard 1-year warranty. Fortunately, that option worked, and I didn't need to move forward with repairs through Nick's Electrics. Even so, they didn't seem disappointed in the slightest. In fact, they genuinely seemed happy that I was able to get the issue resolved most cost-effectively. That kind of integrity and customer-first mindset is rare these days. I had an issue with an outlet on the outside of the my house. The electrician I used in the past, was not available. I reached out to Coars Family Electric. The owner was prompt and nice. I believe the work was done well. My problem is the cost. Since I spoke to my electrician before the work was done, I expected Cecil to be around the same price. It was not. I have since talked to several other electricians and they said I was completely taken advantage of. The work was done in November and I am writing this review now because I wanted to be sure. I asked numerous times for an itemized list of what I paid for. The list that I finally received, was not the same as what he told me the day he did the work. Coars Electric 1. Troubleshot circuit $75 2. Replaced twin 20 amp circuit breaker $325 3. Replaced 20 amp gfi outlet and installed new weather proof cover $150 Parts $50 That was his "professional" receipt. I know I should have asked him before he did the work how much he would charge. I assumed it would be around the 200 my electrician said it would be. Be careful with this company and get a quote before they do any work. I ended up paying 600 dollars for a 25 minute job and according to other electricians, I could have done this by going to Lowes and spending 40 dollars. read more

Mr Coars removed and replaced a ceiling fan in one room and removed a chandelier from a cathedral ceiling and replaced it with a ceiling fan as well as replaced (updated) several wall light switches. He was extremely professional ensuring ceiling fans had appropriate brackets to support the weight. He also made sure all light switches were working properly. I strongly recommend Cecil for any electrical needs. He really knows his stuff. We called him out for problems at the breaker box. He was able to locate and fix the problem very quickly. While he was here we had him replace several receptacles which were so sloppy loose that any cord plugged in would almost fall out. Besides being a great electrician Cecil is also very nice and friendly. He won't leave until he has your problem solved and you are happy. read more
