Rarely do I enjoy such expert advice and service at various businesses, but I am sending a huge shout out and recommendation for this store. Simple need: I have six recessed lightbulbs from a 9-year old kitchen remodel, and four of them were not working. Googled 'Lightbulbs' and Siri guided me to this place from my home in La Verne. Kind of confusing to find the entrance to 'Lightbulbs', but found a door and realized it's all one giant place. I questioned a very pleasant guy on a ladder about 'where do I go for lightbulbs?', and he immediately stepped down and accompanied me over to where he found the perfect replacement bulbs which were an absolute match, but a much lighter (weight wise) version. Info on the original LED bulb was barely readable, but he found what turned out to be perfect replacements. Upon arrival home, I replaced the non-working bulbs with the new ones which are an absolute match in brightness and look. Amazingly, the final bill was only $23.98 (including tax), which is just under $6 for each bulb. According to the box, these LED lights could last up to 22 years. I hope I'm around to see that when I'm 91 years old! Wait: There's more! This place is filled with every type and style of high-end lighting, so if you're in the mood to re-do any room or entry-way lighting, check out what they have. So my wife say I always want to go in this store they have beautiful lights on display so we pull up and she goes to the hot chicken food place and I proceed to walk in. I walked all the way down the right of the store walked right in front the counter where I counted 6 employees and the owner sitting at his desk I could of touched all 6 and no one said 1 word to me. I worked with Isaac and had a great experience. At first it's a bit overwhelming, but he was patient and very knowledgeable. Over the course of my remodel, he helped me with multiple lights and was always very responsive. Even when I had issues, he was quick to resolve them. As for the store, it's very nice and clean. Everyone is very nice. It's very helpful to see a lot of examples in person, but they also have a ton on their website. They also sell all the lightbulbs you could possibly want. I liked the store and my overall experience there. That said, a lot of my experience was guided by Isaac so I definitely recommend working with him. read more

Ernesto is in "earnest" the best. My lamp posts fixture in front of my house burned out and I had to call an electrician and they said there was no power going to the fixture and even though I gave them a new lightbulb that was in my garage the light didn't come on. My three-star is based on customer service. Went in looking for some chandeliers & luckily found a couple that I loved!! The purchase was made we were given a pick up date and then given the runaround!! Around the time I was supposed to pick up the chandeliers my husband called to check on when the exact pick up date would be because we hadn't heard from the store yet and the order should've arrived given the time frame THEY provided the night of purchase. We were told they couldn't find the order and had to call us back. 2 days later we were told it was going to be a couple of weeks because the items were coming from the East Coast. Called again to check on the arrival date and couldn't get an answer right then & there. The store always had to call back. After days of the phone tag 'we have to call you back' crap our chandeliers finally came in they were picked up! I do love them, they are beautiful but it absolutely makes me question purchasing from this store again!! We are in the market for another large chandelier which we checked on one while in the store purchasing these two and we will not purchase it from this store due to the customer service. IMO I believe someone forgot to put in the order until we called to check on the status and THEN they put in our order. And that's why it took about a week or so longer than it should have originally. Which if that is true just be straight with your customer! I can accept a mistake but passing the buck/blame game on shipping/warehouse is frustrating especially when we are calling, checking and no one has an answer & ALWAYS has to call back. Ugh! I always come to this store to buy my LED and specialty bulbs with the non-traditional bases (like GU24). The staff is very helpful and they stand behind their products. Last year I replaced all of the floodlights in my home with LED, however the manufacturer sold them a faulty product. They replaced all of the LEDs I purchased with a better product for free. Terrible customer service. Went in today, a Tuesday (how busy can they be, right?). One guy was on the phone helping a customer, no problem, he put the customer on hold to go in the back to look for what they were looking for. I hear employees laughing and joking in the back of the store. Finally somebody comes to the front and proceeds to help a man who had JUST walked in the door when I had been standing there waiting for help for several minutes. After searching through the lighting chain stores, the home improvement warehouses, my local furniture stores, I could not find chandeliers for my foyer and staircase. That is until I found Light Bulbs Etc. This store groups lights by style and finish. They offer everything from the basics to ultra fancy to the rare and unconventional. The environment is very inviting. It really helps you see a light from underneath and from various angles which is helpful as I consider what would look pleasing as I walk up my stairs that wrap around. Horrible! I went in trying to find a specific light and an older lady helps me. I found what I was looking for, but wasn't sure what sized I needed. I specifically asked the lady whether I can return the item if I changed my mind. She said, "yes, as long as it's returned within 7 days." I paid for the item, and go home and look at the receipt. On the receipt, it clearly states that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". Can't believe she flat out lied to me. They are not cheap either. For a small business, you'd expect better customer service. The customer service at Walmart is much better than this place. At least the employees at Walmart won't lie to you regarding exchanges or refunds. I want to support small, local businesses, but not if they are this shady. In fact, I was planning on going back to this store to purchase another light, but not after this. This is a hard review to write. This is THE place to go for lighting and presumably lighting experts. Warning: unless you deal directly with the owner, you may not be getting the expert service you think you are...3 trips back to get the "right" track light supplies, which delayed our contractor from completing the job, they didn't offer any type of discount (not even a free light bulb) for our inconvenience (they barely felt any concern that the error was theirs). Where do I start...? I first met Dave and Ray personally back in October 2009 when I was remodeling our living room to a Family/Media room.. Through the years we have spend thousands at this place. Our old house, an old craftsman in Claremont, needed lighting upgrades that we bought at Light Bulbs, etc. The house we are in now, a Mid-Century modern, judging my the receipts that were left, had all the expensive modern lighting purchased there. But while they are an excellent source of lighting and their people are knowledgeable, their customer service stinks! I have walked in there and been completely ignored and walked out, again recently, we went in and it took a while for them to acknowledge us and when someone did deem to help us, he was brisk and seemed put out. I persisted and finally got what I wanted, but today when I open the box to install the fixture, critical components were missing. I guess they have more customers than they need. read more

Monday afternoon it was not very busy ......didn't feel comfortable not a welcoming store ......they did have a large selection......

We just installed the 9 new led bulbs in our 4" recessed lights that are in our kitchen they are so much brighter than our old 50 watt quartz halogen bulbs and only need 9 watts each only took around 45 minutes. We went down to Light Bulbs Etc. and Rael (Ray) Wolder asked if he could help us. We told him that the lights in our kitchen just were not putting out enough light over all and we were considering changing them out for 4" led lights that would be larger bulbs and would be flush with the ceiling and spread the light out more. Ray suggested that we consider changing to the led light bulbs he recommends that would put out 50% more light each and would spread out the light more than the 50 watt quartz halogen bulbs and would plug in the same way which would not require any additional hardware/costs. He also said that it would be more expensive to do what we were considering and could require an electrician rewire from 12 volt to 120 volt (around $550 just for labor) and new cans for the lights. He even gave us a senior discount making the bulbs around $13.50 each. I would definitely recommend this store for helping with lighting problems. read more

Eric is great! A year ago, I bought light fixtures and switches that I needed same day. He drove to meet me and delivered himself! I called him this months for a new order. I mentioned that few of the Adorne switches are making noise. I wasn't expecting any gesture. He told me that he will send me new ones without even questioning. And he did next day! If you think it is cheaper to get switches online, perhaps it might be true for some cases. But don't disregard the value of service and great support. Came in to purchase a track lighting set-up I saw in the window and was never even looked at. Made 3 or 4 laps around the entire store, and was never talked to. Lol I guess they don't like new customers or something, because I had the cash in hand and stood right next to the light I wanted to buy for over 5 minutes without help. When I went to ask someone for help, they motioned me to wait, and after 5 minutes I left. I don't how their pricing is, but their customer service sucks. read more
