We were greeted at the bridge to the club, then again when we arrived in the dining area. There was a guided tour of the facility before the meal. The meal was great and the kids were great as wait staff....offering drinks, taking away plates, providing dessert, etc. Was heartwarming to see a group of young people being very responsible, helpful and enjoying providing the meal. Mountain Youth Clubs (MY Club) offers enrichment programs with a heavy focus on homework help, Keeping Fit, STEM, Leadership and Arts & Crafts. Our enrichment programs follow our School District partners schedules to provide for After School, Intercession/Vacation/Holiday and Summer programming for Coarsegold, Hillside, North Fork, Oakhurst, Rivergold, Spring Valley and Wasuma Elementary Schools. This year we have offered Basketball, Flag Football and Volleyball leagues. We have also added introductory camps for Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Lacrosse and Soccer. MY Club is committed to maintaining league registrations at $20 and sports camps at $10. We offer several scholarships through our Youth Ambassador Program and a $3,000 MY Club Scholarship Award for our graduating Seniors. MY Club has expanded our Summer Jobs Program to employ 14 High School Students as Junior Program Assistants and Lifeguards.

I have some special (to me) items that I want to donate but I wanted to see the shop first. Everything was very nice and organized and items were displayed well, and treated respectfully. I could tell the staff takes a lot of pride in their work. As one other reviewer shared, this is also a store that is serving the community. While I was there I observed the staff providing clothing and other items directly to those in need, (via a voucher -so all very well organized). I made a small purchase and the check out team carefully wrapped up my 4 glasses to ensure they made it home safely and I was very touched by their kindness. I hope others will consider shopping here and also donating their treasures to Catholic Charities. I still have quite a few things from my parents home that I have had a hard time letting go of, but after visiting, I feel the items will be appreciated and handled kindly and may help make a difference.

We got a recommendation from a friend…read moreto switch to JS West (out of Oakhurst) after being over charged for fills by Suburban Propane. JS West has been courteous and helpful for EVERY fill. When the dirt road collapsed with the storms of 2023 and no one could get a big propane truck out, they came by in a car to evaluate, then put small tanks on a pickup and filled us the next day. And I love waaaay out of town. Best pricing, honest, and service-minded. I recommend them to everyone in the mountain area.
