Andrew is a very smooth talker at furst...uses a lot of "yes sir" and "yes ma'am" while completely undercutting clients. My experience was terrible. My typewriter was inprosoned at his store for 3 + months. I never received an update on repair status and everytime I went in, it was the same excuse: "Oh ma'am, I waiting on a "part". I would go into the store the following month, after him promising to provide an update and the same excuse given: "Oh ma'me, I am waiting on a "part". Again and again...same thing for months. When I finally picked up the typewriter, he wasnt there and had his receptions give me the typwriter...she called him and the first thing out of his mouth was: "That will be 89.00 dollars"...this afternoon I already paid 150.00 at drop off. He never explained what he did to the typewriter or offered answers to my questions about what was done and how I can maintain it...just terrible customer service and experience. I paid the man his money and will never return to this store again. PS. The typewriter was oiled, but I dont see a new new "part" or any new "parts" :( Dont go to this store! read more

Andrew appears to greet you as a helpful and friendly guy however, underneath he's totally different. I brought my Viking machine in because I had a screw that was lost from the bobbin case. I had him service it while I was there. Big mistake. When I got it back my cam wouldn't turn. It did do a straight stitch, but that was all I could get it to do. Brought it back to him and he said it'd be another fee to see what was wrong with it. I paid that and when I got it back he said that the cam was broken and that would be an expensive repair. However, at that time, my straight stitch had deteriorated to a very tiny stitch. I couldn't get a regular stitch past one so again I left it. After another fee, I got it back and the straight stitches are the only thing that works on my machine now. My Viking machine, which was a wonderful sewing machine is completely worthless. Our Bissell's belt broke. I contacted the store via Yelp and asked for an estimate of time and charges. Andy was quick to respond and was completely transparent. He offered to have it available same-day but I couldn't get there before close of business. The next morning I picked up my vacuum and it works so well! He also cleaned it for an extra $20 so it looked and smelled great! There wasn't any switch and bait with the pricing or service - it was exactly as Andy promised! The reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 (wish I could give 4.5) is just because I feel as a 1st time customer the cleaning should have been offered as complimentary - just better customer service in my opinion. I have a Oreck vacuum that was having a power issue and would not turn on. I took my vacuum for them to repair and they said that the would call in a few days to let me know what happen. After a week no call was made and so I called. They just said it was ready to be picked up and said to come in. After getting to the store they told me it was a bad motherboard and charged me 203$ and sent me home with my vacuum. As I have a 2nd vacuum that I was using I went to use my repaired vacuum the next month and it still was not working. I went back with my vacuum and same thing happened but when I went to get it they said it was a bad sensor and charged me again 117$ so I could take my vacuum home. I went ahead and tried it when I got home and still it would not turn on. So I found a youtube video of my vacuum with a guy showing how the vacuum has a battery in the handle, so I opened mine and there was the battery. I took it out and tested it to find that it was dead. I went to get a new battery and wow I fixed it! So now I am out of 300$ for a 7$ repair that could have been done in less than 5 minutes if I had known of the issue. I did go back to the store to show them and they just wanted to brush me off like I was nothing. They would not refund me my money for a service that they could not provide. I just wanted my vacuum fixed and was not sure what was really wrong. If they have Oreck all over their window like they represent the company and even sell their products, they really should know how to fixed things properly or at least show you what went bad when they take things out of bad vacuums. I will never go here again, I have told my family and friends to never go here. I warn everyone. Oreck vacuums are easy to repair if you just know what the problem is and know how to fix it on your own. (The business is back across the Street from Triangle Square) read more

I have two reasons for my 3-star review. 1. Once I received the estimate for the cost of repairing my Dyson, they gave me a specific date that it would be ready for pickup. A few days after this date had passed, I called and they said they still had to check a part and that it would be ready for the following day at 11 am. Seemed odd as it was supposed to be ready a few days earlier. I called the next day to make sure and they said it was ready for pickup. It seems as though they should let me know when the vacuum is ready for pickup, instead of me having to call. 2. When I went to pickup my fixed Dyson, I asked where the charger for it was (I knew I had dropped it off with the charger). The owner tried to tell me that I didn't drop it off with the charger. Thankfully, the receipt said otherwise. He spent about 10 minutes looking for the charger and couldn't find it. There are boxes and papers piled up all over the store. I told the owner that I'd pay half of what I owed until he found the charger. Thankfully, a few days later he gave me a call and they had found the charger. I am satisfied with my vacuum, as it is completely fixed, but the process just seemed a tad unprofessional and unorganized. read more

Beware. Why isn't there zero stars? Took our Roomba to this place a couple years ago, to see if they could fix it from stopping half-way through the cycle. The man working there said he could repair it and he'd call us in a week. He never called... A couple weeks later, we called and he said it was fixed and we could pick it up. He charged us about $100, which is a bargain compared to the cost of a new Roomba ($800). We took it home... nope, not fixed. Same issue. Brought it back and he said he'd look at it and call us in about a week. We never got a call. We showed up a month later and asked about it. He looked like we caught him off-guard and sputtered that he left us a voicemail... yeah right. He NEVER left us a voicemail. We saw our Roomba sitting behind him on a shelf, (looking like it hadn't been touched), and asked "isn't that our Roomba right there?" He nervously confirmed it was, and that he needed a couple more weeks and would call us. He never called... It's now been months and has become an ongoing joke that one day we'll stop by and he'll be using our Roomba to clean his store. We stopped by today (months later), and showed them our receipt and shocker... they couldn't find our Roomba. The same guy came out again and said it's not worth fixing... "Ummm, then what have you done with it? Why didn't you call?" He said he needed to research the matter and call us back... hmm, never heard that one before! LOL Does he really think anyone believes this stuff? He probably sold our Roomba for parts and is waiting for us to forget about it and go away. This kind of thing is what Yelp is for. Think twice about taking your vacuum here to repair. If they can't fix it, they'll lie, then never call you back, until you give up. read more

When you receive such outstanding service it is just wrong to not go online and write a review. So here I am. I took my mother's Singer Sewing Machine in for repair. It had been sitting for 50 years! Andy and staff did an outstanding job! It looks new! It works perfectly and they took care of it like it was their own. I can not say how impressed I am. And thrilled. My mother passed this last year and I hold a lot of sentimental memories around this machine and he brought it back to life for me. PRICELESS. I can not recommend them enough! I will be back. I really wish I had called before hubby ordered a new vacuum online. I found this business on yelp and wanted to know if they'd take my old broken vacuum cleaner and recycle it. Seems like such a waste to just throw it out. The very nice owner enthusiastically accepted it. He was the only one of 4 places I called willing to recycle my old one. Jim knows a lot about vacuums. He's been doing this for 35 years. I have a house cleaning company, and he has really directed me well in my vacuum purchases. He as also repaired a lot of vacuums for us, and he doesn't mind taking the time telling me how to repair something if one of our vacuums don't work. I took my Kenmore sewing machine in to be looked at on Monday. Andrew told me he would check it out to see what was wrong and the cost would be $28.00. He said he would let me know the result the next day. I waited 2 days and I had not heard from him. I then called and he said he had not had a chance to look at it and he would let me know tomorrow. When I went into the store he told me " the timing was out "and it would be $89.00 to fix. He said the $28.00 would be applied. I said no thank you and then he said he would take a $20.00 discount off also....he then said " it also needed cleaned and oiled and I will have it ready Thursday at 2:00." Thursday morning I received a call from Andrew saying that it needed cleaned and oiled for $39.00. I said you told me yesterday that it would you would fix, clean and oil it for $40.00. He said I misunderstood him. I then went and picked up my machine! Total paid $68.00 !! NOT HAPPY WITH SERVICE....BEWARE!! read more
