Salesman (Keith) - terrible experience, bought a GE fridge a month or so ago installer said can't install it it needs a water valve (salesman never mentioned this might be a possibility). Freezer now does not work repair man scheduled (out a week) called salesman no empathy, no direction on warranty or options, acted as if he never met us or sold us a $3K+ appliance. Real customer service often begins when things go wrong. The BB delivery team missed their appointment for our appliance delivery and gave us an unacceptably long reschedule delivery date, even though the error was their's. After a number of calls to the delivery team and the sales team at the store to get a date that would work for us to complete our renovation and inspection, we still got the same answer of 'sorry there's nothing we can do, you will just have to wait.' Going into the store we were fortunate enough to talk with Ivy. She came to our aid when there was no manager in the department to help. Although she made no guarantees, she was apologetic and empathetic. Ivy said she would do her best to navigate the BB system to expedite our delivery. We are not sure how she did it, but she had our appliances quickly delivered. Getting our appliances when we did, allowed the city to inspect the work on time, us to make a final payment to our contractor and then move in. The true measure of customer service is that Ivy was not our sales person. She received no commission or credit for our sale. Our sales person was transactional at best and no help in problem resolution. She was committed to doing the right thing for the customer and the company by seeing that we received our appliances and enabled us to have faith in Best Buy and continue to be customers. The sales staff showed us exactly what we wanted, got us out quickly and at a competitive price. The installers showed up early in the delivery window, ran into a few problems, not their fault, tile laid on top of tile over the years. They went above and beyond to get our dishwasher installed and were still done and out the door in 90 minutes. Really nice guys, easy to talk to and explained what they needed to do. All I can say is Pacific Sales, the store, is not bad when you shop their promotions. Recently I purchased a $900 dishwasher. Got a rebate and holiday pricing - all good. Getting the dishwasher to your house and installed is another story. Read Eddie H below. The two meatballs who showed up to install the dishwasher were out of breath just walking to my front door. When they saw the install was on the second floor they conveniently said the stop valve on my plumbing wasn't working properly - they didn't even try it. Off they went dishwasher and all. Called the store & no one could care less. Instead of battling them I called the Huntington Beach store and got their installers to go pick up my machine in Irvine and try again. These guys meant well and actually got the machine in and didn't complain at all about my plumbing. Fast forward 6 months and suddenly my dishwasher has no power. Call Bosch to schedule a warranty service and he has to uninstall the machine. Once he pulls it out he sees the plug on the floor - he laughs and says it was never installed properly - the plug vibrated out of the socket ! Nice job guys ! Bottom line PS installers are terrible in every sense of the word - you've been warned :) read more

The two stars are specifically only for the store sales person Brad we dealt with and the one customer service representative that helped me as well. The rest has been disastrous. My wife and I recently moved into our new home and needed to purchase all new appliances for the home. We decided to buy a new Kitchen Aid fridge, a LG washer and dryer, and a Bosch dishwasher. The sales process was smooth of course since this is the part where they take your money, but after the sale portion was absolutely disastrous. It all started okay as they brought the washer, dryer and the fridge. The install of the fridge was ok even though they damaged the wall slightly it is a very narrow space. Now this is where it went from okay to not so okay and then horrible. We have an upstairs laundry room that requires a pan in case there is a leak from the machine. There was a small crack on the corner of the pan and we were told we need to go and purchase a new pan. They told us to reschedule a delivery to get the machines installed after we go and purchase a pan. That evening I went out and purchased a pan. Now, you would figure you go off and do what they ask and it should be fine right? Wrong. After scheduling another install appointment they come out and say it's not installed. I told them that I was never told that I needed to get it installed and had I been told I would've done it. After all it's the drilling of a hole in a plastic tray and it takes about 4 minutes to do. I asked them to wait for 4 minutes while I install it and they tell me absolutely not they can't wait 5 minutes for me to do it since they have multiple deliveries to do. So I ask again when can they come back to install the machines. They told me they will call the home office. The three of us were waiting outside for 15 minutes! They couldn't wait 5 for me to install it but can wait 15 minutes for us to reschedule a delivery?! Regardless of that we rescheduled the delivery for the next day even though they were booked due to my unhappiness and so I decided I'll get the tray installed. The wash tray is approximately 31" by 30" in width and length. The third time they come out they walk up and tell me I installed it incorrectly. It needed to be 27" by 29" with the 29" being front to back. I had installed it with the 30" front to back and 31" left to right. Correct me if I'm wrong, but 29" fits within 30" right? So now they preceded to tell me they can't install it again! I am fuming now. So we called customer service again to reschedule for a 4th time. This time the soonest they could come out was three days later. For those of you who have moved, laundry piles up rather quickly when you move and without laundry machines they don't go away. So this morning they finally come, I went out and repurchased another tray and had it installed correctly so I'm thinking finally! They take the machines our of the boxes that have been sitting in my garage for about a week and a half to find that the washing machine has about a 2 inch gash in the front. Are you freaking kidding me??! A brand new $1000 dollar washing machine with a gash in the front of it. So here we go again to call customer service and they tell me that they are going to give me a $200 credit for the machine if I keep it. This just has been just an epic fail. I decided just to keep the machines not because I wanted the $200 off, but because I didn't want to deal with this anymore. I still need to purchase two ovens, a microwave and a wine fridge. It's going to be pretty difficult for me to do additional business with this place again. read more

Please check out my other post about the Pacific Sales in the Irvine location before reading this post. Pacific Sales sale people DO NOT get commission for what they can sell to you. This is why 99% of them DO NOT care if you buy a million dollars worth of stuff or don't buy at all because of the attitude. Clearly, you can see the result of this system at the Irvine location at White Road. Old, ancient men who are waiting for their retirement to kick in and while their standing there yapping about their beer belly, god forbids any customer to bother them or else they'll give you a piece of their mind (again, please refer to my other post). Anyway, horrifying customer service from pacific sales in irvine was it for me. I checked out this store thinking the attitude is probably the same due to the bad rating on here. BUT, to my surprise, all the sale people here are ... YOUNG. Like lively youthful happy people who go to work with... a smile. OMG! All of them look like they're in their 20's and 30's. Not 90's or 100's like the Irvine store! What does that mean? They'll answer any question you have and WILL browse the floor with you BECAUSE they are able to move! no beer belly or oxygen tank in the way! Jason Meier was the one that helped me out. He got the orders and everything done as quickly as he could. He organized all my rebates and assured me once the stuff is delivered, he can help me fill out the rebate if I'm not sure of what to do. He even threw in a dish washer kit for free on my order. With my order, I did get a free set of knives and normally it would be delivered, but since I wanted to pick it up, the other sale person just grabbed it for me without any question. All in all, I walked out with a huge smile on my face, not because of the free stuff, but because of the customer service I received here. Jason expressed sincerely his apology for the horrifying customer service I got from the other store, but too bad life is life, those old men work there for so long NO ONE can ever ever ever ever fire them. So if possible, SKIP the Irvine location and go straight to here. Ask for Jason Meier & your shopping trip will be put at ease! - Rude to Customers - Dept head Manager orders wrong parts - acts like no big deal - Management not run well Run Away.....there are better stores, same price maybe a tad more but at least you get the right parts, not yelled out and left with parts and not given money back! I don't think (1) star is enough. I seriously have soo many e-mails, receipts and a pile of over $5,000 worth of parts sitting in my garage as a result of 100% their fault and proof that my brief review is true! In sum, the person in charge of the bathroom kitchen and bath fixtures - no need to provide a name of the manager, should not be allowed to even work there! 1: He ordered soo many wrong parts for our bathroom and kitchen. We aren't talking 1 or 2 but (6), he literally ordered the wrong numbers himself, as such unmathing parts for the kitchen sink, if we required a bottom up basin for the vanity he ordered a top install style. It was a nightmare! 2: He never returned our calls 3: When I personally came in, he YELLED at me in front of staff and customers..not once but several times...never would admit he made a mistake...tried to say it was my fault - even when I tried calmly stating that you have no credibility after not just 1 or 2 but 6 orders you made a mistake on... 4: After hours of my time, management promised to order right parts (with our credit card) with the promise of giving us credit when we brought back the old parts 5: Wouldn't pay for the plumber fees for all the wrong parts that were installed taken out and then the new ones being put in 6: Management didn't return e-mails or calls. We found the sales people to be not fully honest right off the bat. Please explain to me again how I won't be able to find a 30 inch induction cooktop for under $2,300... The sales advisor was suddenly less friendly when I pointed out that even they had several induction cooktop options for under $1,700 dollars right on the showroom floor and that their online catalog had four or five additional models in the $1,300 - $1,400 range. In response, I was told "Well, you're trying to use electric in a gas world, that's theway it goes." ... As if that explained suddenly becoming less helpful about things if I wasn't going to buy at $2,300 or more. The upside is, the salesperson did seem knowledgeable about the change in wiring needed to go to an induction top. read more

Moving is hard enough but Pacific Sales actually made it even harder. To be clear, the in-store sales team were helpful and knowledgeable. They were the only saving grace of this transaction. Once the transaction left their hands... that is when this experience took a turn for the worse. We scheduled our appliances to be delivered in the afternoon on the day of the move. We had the movers coming in the morning and had explained that in the upfront when scheduling the delivery. Apparently, it was not a problem until it was a problem. The full day before the move, we called and called Pacific Sales for the delivery time and they said that they would call us the night before the move. Well, we had to call them only to find out they scheduled our delivery for the MORNING. Needless to say, we were not happy and the customer service person promised they would fix the mistake. Again, another FAIL. They sent the truck to make the delivery in the morning without calling ahead of time and then said they could not reschedule the delivery. How can you leave movers at your home unattended, mid-move? Thank you Pacific Sales because that is what YOU forced us to do. When the appliances finally arrived, they were covered with residue left from the packing process. When asked to remove the residue, the installers refused to clean the appliances. If you are interested in a smooth transition and looking for a reliable vendor to deliver items when you ask for the delivery - this is not the place for you. They are not helpful. This the last time we will purchase anything from the team at Pacific Sales - there are enough appliance vendors out there clamoring for business that we do not need to spend our money at a place that clearly could care less about customer service. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Told my Neighbour and association to never order from them! We are still waiting for our stuff.... We were given an 8-12pm delivery window today!!! Of course they didn't show up.. We called 5 times after 12pm and for 3 hours we were given the run around and were told the driver is in transit!!! After 3 hours-finally got to the dispatched team... They told me the driver came at 8:15am to deliver...they said nobody was home....lie! We were home!!! Then after trying to get another delivery tomorrow-they hung up on me!!! Second delivery window-waited 4 hours...no call..no delivery...called them back...turns out they forgot!!! Seriously! Now they claim it's out on an emergency truck today-but still has not yet arrived!!! We are still waiting to hear back as I called again... I had encountered an issue with my fridge that I purchased from PS of Mission Viejo and Andrea was so helpful trying to find me a replacement, we spoke numerous times over the phone. When we got to the store that night, Andrea introduced us to Matt Evangelista. He took his time, explained the options and the features of the new fridge which we upgraded to and we even decided to buy a new dryer on the spot because of his knowledge. My situation was not easy as the first fridge I purchased from Pacific Sales in MV had a hole in it. Matt and Andrea worked tirelessly trying to find me a replacement. We were so impressed with their knowledge and customer service skills I have to post this review. It was so refreshing to see great customer service skills from Matt and Andrea after my debacle from the Mission Viejo store. They discussed options, features, and went over the warranty options. I will continue to use Matt for all my future appliance needs and their manager needs to know what a great job they do. I wish I could go negative stars. We ordered a KitchenAid refrigerator on Aug 4th, but had to cancel the order today, Dec 26 - latest delivery update was for Jan 27, but no guarantee. They did not disclose that Whirlpool/KitchenAid is having serious production problems - we had two false alarms on deliveries as well. We paid in full, they have had our money for free for 4 months - but have to go through the credit card company in order to get refunded. Poor communication, poor customer service, poor product knowledge, just substandard across the board. read more

My Husband bought our Samsung washer and dryer less than a year ago. The washing machine already broke over a week ago 10 days. It was very hard to make an appointment with the Warranty department. I took off two days for the service once service came on Wed they informed me another week or ten days to get the part. This is awful as we are a family of five and my husband had to go to a Laudromat this Sat am so my kids would have clean soccer uniforms. This is ridiculous !!! I (like the yelper before) initially went to the Pacific Sales in Irvine and after a less than average experience I kept searching, went to more showrooms looking for a sales person that would actually take the time to help me find all that I was looking for. Geeksquad insurance is lame, and Pacific Sales oversold it. Was told benefits are that we would only have to make one call, parts aren't a problem, and service would be much better than standard coverage. Spent $2,500 on a Samsung refrigerator and $250 on #BestBuy #geeksquad coverage. Installed unit on 4/24 and latch broke on 4/27. I called on 4/29 and to my surprise, was told "You should call Samsung." To which I replied, "I didn't buy coverage from Samsung. I'm paying you." The guy says, "You're paying ME, huh? Well O.K. then - it'll be two weeks before we can send someone out there." When I asked to speak with a manager he said, "No manager is here today, but one can call you within 24 hours." Well ... no manager called within 24 hours, and when I called Samsung they offered to send someone out five days. Good job Samsung. Shame on you Bestbuy, PacificSales, and Geeksquad. read more

The sales staff was very nice and professional however I purchased a dishwasher with the extended warranty and have had nothing but trouble with the service center. In 3 years I have had to call for service 6 times now. They make appointments and do not show up. This time they made an appointment after telling me they were possibly going to replace my dishwasher. The problem is I wont be able to be here at that time and when I told the girl at the call center this she told me I had to wait until they called me to confirm my appointment. They do not know how to provide the appropriate customer service. I had a great experience buying applianaces at Pacific Sales (in the Costa Mesa Best Buy store)! I think Jason B. is seriously committed to have all customers walk away happy with their purchase. I had an issue where the dishwasher did not fit- I did not know to measure, and apparently the dishwasher I selected tends to be a bit taller. I went back that evening, the dishwashwer was exchanged and because I was so happy I bought more appliances (I was on the fence about doing so, but Jason's help made me believe that all would go fine with the subsequent installs, and it did go fine!). The only thing Pacific Sales has going for them is the huge variety and span of brands and choices. I will say that the staff within the store are really friendly and more than willing to take the time to answer questions and print out info for you. However, upon doing my own research - I was able to uncover a great promotion that the brand range/stove I had been eyeing was having...and it wasn't being promoted at Pacific Sales. In fact, when my husband and I asked about it, they didn't know anything about it and had to do research themselves to make sure. When we placed the order, we made it clear that when the appliances are delivered, that it had to go upstairs. But when they arrived (after 8 weeks of waiting), 2 men delivered them, and they couldn't bring it upstairs because they need 4 men for the stove. So instead they just left everything in the garage. Which was fine, and we called to schedule 4 men to bring the appliances up for the next day. The next day rolls around and they said they'd call before they arrive...and its 4:45PM and still no call. So we call to check...and they said "the 3rd party was booked so they won't get delivered today". It would have been great to know that BEFORE one of us came home early from work to meet them. Overall, the customer service has been terrible and they seem to be very disorganized. When you pay a large sum for appliances upfront, you'd expect them to be more professional and considerate. I would not recommend them to anyone to use in the future. read more

In sum: We ordered appliances for the kitchen on 3/23/14. Estimated delivery date was 4/25/14. We have not received the Viking oven as of yet (2 mo after the estimated delivery date). We were charged at time of order. We have called dozens of times to the local store. We have escalated to local management as well. Unfortunately we rarely receive calls back, we receive weekly "promises" that it will be delivered that week, etc. We have yet to receive the oven. We are now being charged on a daily basis by our contractor for staying on the job. Unfortunately, pacific sales cannot install the item as the contractor is building a custom cabinet and needs the physical oven. I recently bought my appliances from pacific sales and the delivery date was not as promised. I was told that my fridge would be delivered with my washer and dryer only to find out they couldn't locate the fridge in the warehouse. When I asked when the next shipment would come they said they should be expecting one last week and haven't received it. The customer service is terrible handling this since the order was placed about a month ago. I'm disappointed with this and would like pacific sales to compensate for this inconvenience. read more

First off I would recommend that best buy end their relationship with pacific sales. I went to the best buy at south coast plaza and bought 2 refrigerators, a washer and dryer for my new home. For my dryer, I was "sold" on the steam function on the dryer just to have the delivery person say that I shouldn't install it cuz it's a waste since it will result in damp clothes. Main fridge was fine and was told that I would have to sign a waiver cuz the water valve to hook up the water/ice maker was leaking and that I shouldn't install it until I get a new water valve. I paid someone to have it replaced just to have them tell me there's nothing wrong with my water valve. In addition, there's a long streak on my hardwood floor from them bringing in my fridge, called customer service and they said an adjuster would call me within 24-48 hours. I never received that phone call. And I didn't think that I would have to peel off tape and original wrapping on the fridge days after...just poor attention to detail when delivering a product If you go to best buy to buy appliances, avoid one that has pacific sales in it and this company in general read more

We bought a washer/dryer from Pacific Sales . Don't bother to buy an extended warranty with your purchase. Your service will not be done by Pacific Sales. It is farmed out to another company who have the worst Yelp reviews I have ever seen. When we called PS and asked them about having someone else do the repair, they said they had never heard a bad review about the Co. they referred us to.. Apparently PS does not check them out on Yelp. They gave us another number and told us we could only change once. When we called the new place they said they don't service our area. I will not buy from Pacific Sales again. It looks like we will have to foot the bill on this one. read more

Do not go here! They delivered the wrong washer and dryer TWICE. Both times they told us to be at home between 12- 4 and delivered after 4 pm. When I told Leona, the store supervisor, I needed it today as I was leaving to get married the next weekend, she said there was nothing she could do. Horrible at her job, horrible customer service. Just bought some new Kitchen Aid appliances for our kitchen and had a wonderful experience here with Jason. I had been here several times before looking at different brands and models of the ones we liked. Jason was really friendly and helpful in helping me with my purchase. He had matched the price that Lowe's had plus was able to help me out with their ongoing promotions as well. Since they are a part of Best Buy you get the added benefit of using their promotions in your purchase too. Anyway Jason was so helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly! He made the experience really nice and really worked to get us the best price for the appliances which was greatly appreciated. Pacific Sales in Costa Mesa has really great customer service! I made a purchase a few months ago, and Adam Vestri and his team were very trustworthy. Adam and team were very professional and well coordinated. We had a small complication from my side, but they handled it very professionally and never over promised themselves. From my experience, they always did whatever they said they would, without any hassle or hesitation. Pacific Sales takes very good care of their customers, and continued to be of great help after the purchase. UPDATE: Day 22 and still no working washing machine. Warrantech's service company, Service Onsite arrived yesterday to make the repair but found another faulty part and said it was their oversight. They were supposed to call today with an update but didn't and didn't answer their phones when I called on two occasions. Called Warrantech and they said the last original part ordered is supposed to arrive today based on their conversation with Service Onsite. I told them this part already arrived and Service Onsite needs another part. These two companies are not even on the same page. Here we go waiting again on a part. The BBB responded yesterday with a message from Best Buy stating that the customer needs to pursue the corrective measures with the warranty company, Warrantech. It is apparent Best Buy's Pacific Sales is not interested in repeat customers or reputation. Frankly, it is apparent Warrantech is not interested either. Their management has yet to return my call and it turns out that their service provider, Service Onsite has 10 reviews on Yelp of which 9 are one star. I would HIGHLY recommend taking your business elsewhere if you care about buying through someone that will stand with the customer. Best Buy's Pacific Sales won't be there for you. read more

Two times they were suppose to deliver our refrigerator with other appliances that we ordered and both times they arrived without it. No explanation... Just they are out of stock. In store was 18 months. Only.complaint I have is with their delivery service. It is terrible. First of all when they call you the day before to confirm its only between the hours of 6 to 9 pm? I would think that's a little late to be calling. If you don't answer they keep calling. The other bad thing is for what u pay for shipping they make u uninstall your old appliance yourself in order for them to haul it away and they dont even install the new item that you buy! Got me what I wanted at a fair price and even provided tons of info to help me decide which appliances with no pressure. Too bad he doesn't sell the bath stuff.
