Went fishing with my husband, 2 sons and extended family for an 8hr trip in June. Red snapper…read moreseason. Had a blast almost everyone was hooking snappers left and right. We went to 3 different spots. I wish we could have switched to try some sharks but I think they were waiting to max out on snappers and there were a few people not catching anything so we never did. Overall we had a super fun trip. We went back last weekend with my husband, son, and daughter. No one else had signed up for the 8hr trip so we got bumped to the 4hr. We were a little disappointed but I guess you can't control those types of things. Headed out about an hour. As soon as we dropped our lines me and my son's gf hooked bonnethead sharks! After that my hubby, and daughter caught one each. We hooked some bait fish and my hubby hooked a Mangrove Snapper. Only my son didn't catch anything. We all still really enjoyed ourselves! We can't wait to plan another trip! Both trips, all the guys were super nice and helpful. Sometimes you have to wait a bit if everyone's catching at the same time, but they try to get to you as fast as possible to unhook your fish and rehook your line if it snapped. Thanks for making both trips extremely enjoyable!!! We'll be back!

Went on the 12 hr on a smaller boat on July 12th instead of the bigger one in 6's n 7's so it…read morewasn't exactly smooth sailing. At each location the captain( overweight dude w long ponytail) kept drifting and couldn't stay on top of the fish which I believe resulted in us not catching very many fish. At one point as I was lying down in the passenger area as we were heading back I saw the captain run down into the men's restroom twice leaving no one in the wheelhouse as the boat was running! That's what a milk jug is for! Gonna try Fisherman's Wharf next time. As you can see in the video provided the fish was very slim pickings due to the captains inability to stay on top of the fish! He kept drifting!

I love the smell of the salty fishy air! The further you go away from the jetty, the clear of the water and the nice or the beach. You can hunt under the pier at low tide for shark teeth find all sorts of shells, watch people, pulling fish and shark in from the waters Lots of souvenir, shops and restaurants. Some good I'm not so good. And the grocery store with the deli that you can eat three meals a day for really inexpensively. Love love love it

He was very hospitable and even met us at our car with a cart and wheeled our things down to his boat. We were primarily interested in looking for shells and Captain Moon was happy to accommodate! He took us to multiple locations to look and we had super good luck! Pictures of our favorite finds attached. Captain Moon was very knowledgeable of the area and told us a lot of interesting facts along the way without turning it into a lecture. He wasn't in a rush and would slow down when we saw things that interested us (mostly birds and dolphins). Captain Moon had a great sense of humor and was friendly and personable while still being professional. He was also a careful and aware boat driver which was very important to me. I'm actually afraid of boats, but I found myself enjoying the ride! We will definitely book with Captain Moon again!

There are a lot of these tours and they all pretty much take you to the ship channel but this one has a water trough down the middle of the boat and the boat guy drops a net and hauls in some rays and fish that they place in the water and they allow the kids to touch and teach them about the different fish. Not like a boring lesson just what they are and such. A big ship came through the ship channel and my granddaughter got to see a whole pod jumping and playing in front of the bow of the ship. She smiled from the minute we left and for days after. Highly recommend and it's also one of the most economical for families too.

We made reservations about three days before our visit and were told to show up at 930am for our 10am tour. We got our kids up and drove 25 minutes to the dock, sunscreened my two excited kids only to be told that their boat was dry docked and wouldn't be going out. Listen, I get that unforeseeable things happen. But the inability to contact me in any way shape or form to explain this before our wasted time and gas to the dock is inexcusable. They said we could come back for the evening tour with no other considerations like a discount or anything for the trouble and trip. Well, we are indeed coming back for a sunset tour but its with another boating company. I would not trust your reservation with this company especially if you are making a drive to see them.
