When he showed up, I specifically came outside to ask whether my home would be kept clean and if there would be any issues. He assured me everything would be fine. That was completely untrue. About 10 minutes later, while I was outside doing yard work, I walked into my home to find black soot flying through my living room. The air was thick with it -- and I have video proof. My vent filter was pitch black. My white Ethan Allen couch, my Ethan Allen white-and-blue checked chair with ottoman, my oriental rug, curtains, floors, fan, tables, and bookcase were all covered in soot. I was in complete shock. I told the technician to stop and asked what he was doing. He looked at me like I was crazy -- and honestly, I was livid. After he left, I tried calling the office. The calls rang to the technician himself. "Chris" kept giving me different phone numbers, all of which went back to his cell phone. It was incredibly suspicious and frustrating. I finally reached someone in customer service named Eaton, who assured me everything would be taken care of and apologized repeatedly. That never happened. Instead of sending a professional restoration company, they sent a maid service. They wiped down surfaces but completely ignored the fact that soot is oil-based and embeds itself into fabric furniture, rugs, curtains, and HVAC systems. My vents, furniture, and curtains are now contaminated. Soot is flammable, cannot be properly removed without professional restoration, and poses a serious health and safety concern. I spent an entire day on the phone begging them to do the right thing. Eventually, they blocked my number and refused further communication. Their insurance company also refused to take responsibility. I am now left with thousands of dollars in damage that I cannot afford to replace -- and I should not have to. To make matters worse, they advertised a $200 chimney cleaning, then showed up and tried to charge $400. They did not honor their advertised price. The job was never completed, and I did not pay -- nor should I have. This was the most frustrating, upsetting, and horrific experience I've ever had with a vendor. This company is deceptive, irresponsible, and should not be in business. RUN from this company.

I booked and forgot about it, then the day-of my wife asked what it was going to be. Couldn't find out online or in my emails (I may have been able to call and get it?) Without doing price comparisons, the fixes they do are expensive, but that may just be the industry standard.

We had one day previous vacuumed the firebox and removed lava rock. Ashbusters chose to vacuum a 2nd time. Failed to clean the flue and refused to examine exterior of chimney. After two trips they were unable to repair the ignition. Charge 449.00 for essentially nothing. At that point Ashbusters stated they would complete all repairs at no further charge. January 2023 Ashbusters contacted my wife advising they would require 120.00 additional. Thanks to Ashbusters our fireplace has failed completely and now appears to represent a hazard.
