This company is not who you want coming to your home, especially when you are not there. Do not have them watch your home when you are away! They will come to your home and do or attempt to do the work you asked for. If they get done early the handyman will set at your home and you are still being billed. My security camera captured one guy playing on his phone well after the work was completed. Once they even sent someone out to do 3rd story windows and they had no ladder! Seems to me this would be a no brainer. read more

We recently rented a lake house in South Haven, Michigan. My husband inadvertently left behind a toiletry bag and the owner of the condo put us in contact with Coastal Concierge to arrange shipment of the item. Ms. Postema was our contact person. Our item contained liquids, so instead of calling me or emailing me, though we had previously been in contact upwards of six times that day, she chose to break our item into two shipments, thereby charging me twice, when the item simply could have been shipped all together for one price. I don't appreciate being swindled, and I feel swindled by Coastal Concierge. Do not recommend this business. read more

I contacted this company for cleaning services. I was told that both owners were on vacation and would call me to schedule something when they returned. Who leaves a business unattended while they vacation? At any rate, after several follow up phone calls, I gave up. They never bothered to return my calls. Shows a real lack of interest in customer service. Really glad I didn't retain them. read more

We tried to schedule cleaning time for our home and 'confirmed' on two different occasions. They did not show up for either time. When we called we were given a time that was different for each occasion. Either way, the office staff did not communicate that we were not going to have anyone show up. An early morning e-mail from the owner, Katie Postma, stated that they would try to fit us in the next day. Sorry, I didn't believe her, as such, I would stay away from this business. read more

We began using Coastal Concierge to help us manage our vacation home while we are away. They came highly recommended by a friend who also has a vacation home in South Haven. You name it, they will do it for us! They have watered pots, cleaned lights, cleaned the whole house, brought in repairman and done laundry. They always perform the work timely and efficiently. I've been very pleased with the service Coastal Concierge provided. In one instance we were moving and decided we didn't want to clean the house ourselves. We contacted them at the last minute and they sent a team of people over. They cleaned the house from top to bottom, including the drawers, oven, etc. We then had them to our new house before a party and they again did a fabulous job. I started out being very found of the woman whom I met for a consultation even though I thought the quote to clean my cottage home was not calculated properly. I pay less to clean my home in Chicago and we have twice the square footage and additional beds/baths. I agreed to move forward with their service because I felt comfortable with them. The first cleaning was good though they claimed they needed more time next time which would increases the cost. I have next to no furniture, no kick-knacks and I have personally cleaned it in less time it supposedly took 2 people to clean it. I was open to it because I had hopes the cleaning would be much better then what I had done in the past. The second cleaning was so under par I am not even sure if it was ever cleaned though they claimed to have been there 2 days before my arrival. When I complained they never once offered a discount or accepted any responsibility even though they were very visible cobwebs between the counter top and the cabinets which IF they had come to inspect I am sure they would have been embarrassed to say a cleaning ever occurred. During the course of this I had also inquired about adding more services with them such as vacation rental and other routine check ins but my emails went 2 weeks unanswered. When I followed up with my disappointment they apologized to say they had been busy but rest assure they had been working on getting answers to me. It took an additional 11 days to hear from them but not without another prompt from me to do so. I believe their intentions are good but they certainly do not run a professional business as their website indicates. They were very neglectful in handling questions and never once did they make me feel my business was important. I honestly gave them plenty of chances. When I told them I would be discontinuing their services never once did they try to entice me to stay. I was disappointed because had they offered a free cleaning and followed through with what they said I would have happily gave them the benefit of the doubt in relation to the overdue response times. I do hope they correct these issues and start treating people/clients with more respect and appreciation. read more
