She was incredibly thorough, but everything she did was done with such a gentle touch that it honestly felt more like a spa treatment than a dental cleaning. I walked out with my teeth feeling incredibly clean and a smile on my face because the whole experience was so much better than I expected. I initially went in for a second opinion because my former dentist told me a root canal needed to be redone. However, this dentist told me it wasn't necessary, so I stayed with him. Shortly after, he even cleared me to get braces. Four years ago, another dentist at the same office saw me and confirmed that the same root canal did need to be done. Because he was my primary dentist, I had to wait to see him for the final word. When I finally did, he said I was fine. I saw him again this past January, and he told me everything looked good. However, the hygienist I saw in March pointed out that the tooth needed to be fixed, noting it had already been flagged by the other doctor four years prior.They finally scheduled an appointment for him to do the root canal, but when I arrived, he told me I now need an implant. For years he told me I was fine, and then suddenly I need an implant. He completely failed to keep me informed about what was actually happening with my teeth. I am incredibly disappointed in him, and I feel deeply saddened by how this was handled. I trusted him completely, and it hurts to know that my tooth could have been saved if he had just listened to his colleagues and properly monitored my care. The office manager told me that writing a bad review wouldn't make me feel any better. However, I am writing this so that others don't have to go through the same painful experience.

The non Accu dental dentist looked at the exact same x-ray that was emailed over from Salinas Accu dental and they said I have no cavity and that They don't know what they were talking about. Also, amongst dentists and other people I have talked to Salinas Accu dental has a reputation for charging patients for procedures and treatments they don't need from cavities to crowns. They're violating their medical oath by causing harm. if you want to gamble with your money go there if they say you need a crown or a filling for a cavity I would highly recommend getting a different opinion not from the Accu dental chain i've had terrible luck with them and I am regretting having done business with them

I even got the insurance involved due to filing a grievance and the case is "closed and resolved" yet when the insurance tried to call and justify the amount they were told the office was unable to provide the insurance information because they aren't the patient. Okay, but they're the insurance company? They're doing their job calling on behalf of the patient to correct the billing but western dental flat out refused to provide any information. Unfortunately parents don't have many other options for in network providers due to insurance otherwise we would have never gone here. I actually ended up finding an independent dentist who gave me a better estimate for the same services western dental was trying to rip us off over. Can you contact me?? I've already filed a grievance against that office so it's pointless to call. Your office manager basically told me to leave because the case is closed and didn't want to handle it anymore, she said there's nothing to do since it's my insurances decision however the grievance I filed was for $1500ish and the insurance DENIED $500ish and your office is charging $1600 and REFUSED to provide our insurance any additional information to justify that amount. That $1500ish was for a retainer impression which was cancelled the same day back in February! Your office said it was up to the discretion of the dentist to authorize the cancelled contract. The last conversation I had IN PERSON at your office last month in July I was told it was his COPAY for the deep cleaning even though we have EOBs stating otherwise which state both insurances covered the cleaning. Your office manager keeps saying the copay is for different things, first it was a retainer impression for my parents upper bridge, this last time in person she said it was his deep cleaning copay, those are two completely different things! And that's what I'm calling fraud because you can't say it's for one thing and then another especially when I'm recording all the documentation from every conversation I've been having with you guys. Our insurance called for an itemized statement which your billing department specifically told me to ask your office for and they refused to provide that to the insurance company like how is that legal? Your corporate office is just as useless, I've spoke to grievance, billing and customer service and no one wants to help or "has access" to anything. You guys are really making it difficult to get the account adjusted for SERVICES NOT RECEIVED! I was planning on going to UCSF thinking that they would be more reasonable than any dentist in Monterey county. However, I made a last-ditch effort to consult with Herrera and was completely surprised when he came back with a very reasonable offer to fix my mouth! I think he felt sorry for me because my mouth has been through hell. I've had previous implants and they have failed. I thought I was going to have to resort to dentures which I did not want to do. I thought UCSF dental could help and they did - but again with 2 months of no teeth. Herrera and his finance team Heidi and Rosa saved the day by actually coming in under the cost at UCSF. I can't say enough about this office. I should have gone there in 2018 when I pulled all my upper teeth for implants. But lesson learned- go cheap go twice Also shout out to Myra and Alejandro who took all the images etc without any discomfort at all!
