Encompass Enclosures was hired by me in May of 2021 to extend the lanai on my residence at 30…read moreAuberry Dr, Palm Coast, Fl After only 17 months, I noticed two cracks in the cement floor which run the length of the concrete that was laid down by Encompass Enclosure subcontractor. I notified Jeff Knapp of the situation a month ago. He asked me to send photos, which I did and have not heard back from him at all. From the very beginning of this project Jeff has shown an unprofessional attitude toward my project. He thought it was not necessary to come and view the site where the lanai was to be extended. This decision cost the project 3 weeks when the equipment arrived months later and found they could not get to the site because the equipment was too big and the access too small. He gave me a completion date of October. At the end of December the project was completed. One week before I returned with my family. He did not even meet the time frame. After the job was completed and we had the first big rain, my new lanai flooded because there were no weep holes. When I called him to come over, he tried to say it was my fault because I had the floor painted. He tried to say he would not take responsibility if he drilled the weep holes. Now the concrete slab is cracked after only 17 months and he is showing the same indifference that he always shows. He had an attitude when I asked for the garbage left by his workers be removed. There were boards with nails sticking out. It took days before someone came. I paid $9,000 for this job which may be chump change to Jeff but I am a widow and this project was so that my family could come and enjoy their visits. I asked Jeff Knapp to give me the name of the construction company and I would deal with them directly but he has ignored my request. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will also contact the Chamber of Commerce and will post a complaint on every site I can find. Dealing with this company is the worst. Every time I hear him on the radio I turn him off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

We purchased our home in July, and shortly after moving in, the air-conditioning system needed…read moreservice. This company had installed the unit in December 2025, meaning it was not even eight months old and was still within their stated one-year parts and labor warranty. The home also came with an American Home Shield (AHS) warranty, so we initially contacted AHS. Their technician came to the home, looked at the unit and the installer's sticker, and advised us that because the system was still covered under the original contractor's one-year warranty, the installing company should handle the service. We then contacted this company expecting them to honor the warranty on the system they had installed only months earlier. Instead, we were told that because an AHS technician had come out and looked at the unit, they would no longer honor their installation warranty. To be clear, AHS did not repair or alter the system. Their technician simply inspected it, saw the installer information, and directed us back to the original contractor because the unit was still under warranty. I find this extremely disappointing and unprofessional. A one-year parts and labor warranty should mean something, particularly on a system installed less than eight months ago. Using the fact that another technician merely looked at the unit as a reason to disregard the remaining warranty is unacceptable. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Anyone considering using them for a new HVAC installation should make sure they fully understand exactly what circumstances the company may use to deny or void its warranty before doing business with them. we certainly will contact your lawyer.
