From being readily available and welcoming, David and his family were a blessing to ours. When we come back to Daytona Beach for whatever reason, we know exactly who to go to first! I am the owner of the property addressed in that wholly unfair review. My family lives four hours south of Palm Coast but we were delighted when Alina Pekarsky found us such a wonderful property. I personally drove up to review all the work done on the house. Virtual Homes Realty practices and policies are transparent to clients and I can tell you first-hand that all my transactions were conducted by knowledgable professionals - with a heart! Unfortuanely we were not able to move up to Palm Coast and again, Virtual Homes Realty assuaged all our concerns about long-distance renting by offering FIVE-STAR property management. And the company delivere - exceeding our expectations at every turn. We also had a detailed video and photo gallery of the interior and exterior of the property upon completion of all work and decoration. And yes, Virtual Homes Realty has a very strict rental policy. And as we all signed the contratcs, we all knew the rules and regulations. That said, Alina Perkarsky and her team reached out to me and my family to help the gentleman who was renting our lovely home break his contract so that he may move to his own residence. As Alina Perkarsky and her team inspire confidence and trust through honest and sound business proctices, I authorized her to accomodate the man renting our home. As for the protests expressed in that September 2nd review about repairs necessary upon moving out , well... You know, we have all rented a place or two in our lifetimes. And we all know about wear and tear accrued by, well, just day-to-day living. And that's why we have to give a security deposit... The Virtual Home Team has always kept me informed about any requests for repairs or potential problems. There are no surpries and whatever fix is needed, well, they have companies who meet their high standards get on it immediately. There is always a followup with owners so that there's an electronic trail of services, maintenance, and repairs. As an owner I picked the interior and exterior paint colors. I toured the property. As I said there are no surprises with Virtual Homes Realty. The September 2nd entry is surprising as the gentleman was the first person to live in that house since we purchased it. ( I believe they knew the condition of this place ) Kept paying rent as nothing was ever addressed, I had no idea that our lives ( mine and my dogs) would change drastically!) Every year the rent increased and the ac was never addressed . My dog got horribly ill with pneumonia and I was sick constantly until it got so bad with me I had the air quality tested. The house had so many issues. Mold ,water damaged cabinets . It was like pulling teeth for them to acknowledge or listen to me about the severity of it. They cleaned the ducts and then it got so much worse !! Not done by professionals. (No one that works for them is professional) We were living in the porch , eyes and throat burning, absolutely horrible. I had to stay with different people the last month. Meanwhile I had tried to get out my lease 6 months earlier . They messed that up too. I had never been late on a payment and paid over 50,000 in rent!!! They never returned my full deposit because they said I had unpaid rent !!!! I physically couldn't stay there . Right now a month later after throwing out all our belongings , living with different families and being treated for CIRS, still sick I can only hope they reap what they sow. The neighbors said they replaced the roof but if no repairs were done inside. as stated in the report, the attic, kitchen wall behind the ac, water damaged cabinets with aspergillus weren't addressed another family will suffer . They do not care at all. I will post pics from the report very soon !RESPONSE.. I am also editing this review in her response. They had guys clean the ac coils using bleach ! He told me you may not be able to stay here a couple days . I could not believe we left for 3 days and came back and that's when it got unbearable !! We slept in the porch and garage with a big fan. We could not stay there any longer. The last month they didn't refund !!! . I was the one that hired the mold test guy they said they would not pay for it. Then they purchased the report from him. Life is going along as usual and then this pandemic hits. The problem.... what do I do when I return to help protect my high risk family members from a potentially life threatening illness? One that I have been exposed to in caring for these patients. An illness that sometimes has no symptoms for weeks at a time. My troubles were laid to rest after an inquiry and short conversation with Micheline Fortier, the resort manager, at Daytona Beach RV Resort regarding the possibility of a short term rental to quarantine. Micheline and the staff at the resort were incredibly generous and informed me that they would have a cabin set up and ready for me upon my return and that they were refusing to take payment for my 2 week stay as a thank you. I was blown away! Thee staff at the resort were extremely helpful and accomadating as my travel schedule changed several times due to fluctuations in the caseload out west. I was expecting a small cabin with bare necessities upon my arrival but was again blown away with the accommodations! It was one of about 20 in a group of beautiful, brand new, modular home type cabins. The unit was stocked with all essential linens, plate ware, furniture, and appliances. I spent most evenings relaxing on the fan cooled, furnished front porch. The park was quiet. Clean and the other guests were all friendly and fun. What I thought was going to be a drudging 2 week quarantine turned out to be a peaceful staycation retreat and I was really sorry to let the cabin go at the end of my stay. I will definitely be recommending the accommodations here to friends, family, and other traveling professionals in the future.
