We spent our wedding weekend here and it was absolutely amazing. The owners {Kathy & Tim} were so personable, accommodating and just couldn't do enough to make our stay any more enjoyable. Our stay also included breakfast. Our room was so beautiful and cozy with a walkway that had a small foot bridge leading to our room. Very private. Stayed here this past weekend and honestly didn't want to leave. Kathy and Tim were awesome--super friendly, welcoming, and you can tell they actually care about the experience. The room was clean, cozy, and had that perfect laid-back beach vibe without feeling cheap or overdone. Small touches made a big difference--complimentary beach gear, homemade banana bread every morning (which was ), and they even had a Sunday hashbrown + croissant casserole that was legit. Location is perfect too--quiet, relaxing, and right by the beach, which makes it feel like your own little escape. We only stayed 2 days and immediately wished we booked longer. After nearly two weeks in Florida, I finished up my visit in Flagler at the Island Cottage Inn (suite two). It was the perfect ending to my trip! It was quiet, serene, and so comfortable, just what I needed to destress. There is a heated pool, meditation type of garden in the courtyard, a comfy bed, and private beach. What more do you need? Kathy and Tim, the hosts were very kind and welcoming. The inn promotes a peaceful setting and I think all the guests are on the same page looking for a relaxing experience which makes it so lovely. It was a great location. It's near a lot restaurants. Across the street from the beach. Great sunrise location. Assigned parking for one vehicle. There are only 9 units so they sell out fast. Otherwise very nice and quiet. Room was very clean and updated. I noticed the water pressure can be low at times but not sure what that was about. Tucked away between a quiet road and beachfront, this Inn is designed with the romantic getaway in mind-- which I am sure my visit could be classified as (why not romance myself!). One of the employees, Dex, greeted me as I pulled up and gave me a bright smile as he led me around the property. There was a pristine poolside to take a dip, an activity room with books and games, and a shed filled with towels, chairs, and umbrellas to enjoy the coastal waters. He led me up to suite one, the room I would be staying in for the next couple of days. Suite One took my breath away as the open floor plan and airy space made me feel a world away from any stress that was plaguing me back home. It felt like a studio apartment but infinitely more cozy and inviting. The king-sized bed had crisp cotton sheets and feather-soft pillows. In the kitchenette area, there was complimentary boxed water along with a stocked mini-bar for any in-suite purchases, plus a mini fridge where I stored delicious leftovers from the bar down the street later that night. Speaking of night, once I came back in from a day at the beach and dancing, I promptly went to the bathroom for a shower/bath combo. The bathroom was stocked with Public Good products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The glass shower was a delight to rinse off all the salt, sand, and sweat from the evening. When I was craving in-depth self-care, the massive tub by the window was absolute perfection. I ran a hot bath, adding salts, bath bombs, and bath milk to make the waters soft and floral as I prepared a mocktail and smooth jazz playlist. The tub was clean, deep enough for my whole body to be submerged, and lastly comfortable enough for me to spend about an hour soaking. Once I finished I put in a fluffy robe that was in the closet and flipped onto the bed to watch Love Actually and eat pizza until I drifted off. The next morning ocean sounds and sun rays poured from the window as I woke up. I took a quick shower and went to the on-site cafe for a complimentary breakfast. Stepping into the tropical candy-coded cafe was an instant mood booster from the cloudy day outside. Jamie, an employee at the cafe, took my orders of house-made banana bread, muffins, and a yogurt parfait. I made some tea while waiting and enjoyed my breakfast out on the patio. After breakfast, I made my way to the beach for the rest of the day to catch some sun and splash in the waves. Island Cottage Inn has its own beachfront area for guests to use which makes this the ideal stay for anyone looking to escape the bustling urban life and relax in a tiny town on the coast of Florida. read more

Booked a room for $303 and it stated that all taxes and fees increased the price to $363. Cool. But when i entered my CC it jumped to $405 due to a "mandatory" fee of $70. (?!) It's not the price but the deception. Show that upfront and not afterwards. Buyer beware!!! read more

We stayed one night on June 6 on our way from Charlotte to Port Canaveral. The location was perfect. The beach was clean and quiet. The owner met us upon arrival, gave us a quick tour of the property and our room. The room was absolutely adorable and very well appointed. There is attention to every detail on this property. They have beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas available for guest use at no charge. There were bikes out front, which I assume we could have borrowed, but we weren't there long enough to need them. In the morning, we were provided breakfast at the café near the pool at no additional charge. We walked 2 miles on the day of arrival and 4 miles in the morning (opposite directions) before leaving and did not see a property that looked as well-maintained. Island Cottage Inn has quickly become our absolute, without question, favorite place to escape to. Maureen and Wolf are just the best hosts, and they go above and beyond to ensure you have the most memorable stay possible. The Inn is s direct reflection of the owners, and you feel the love and care every minute of your stay. We've stayed at the Inn twice now in the past 6 weeks, and walking back in on our second visit, we were treated like family. Upon arrival, the owners meet you with a warm welcome and provide a tour of the Inn and amenities so you're familiar with everything you may need. After that, they help you to your room and get you set up there...everything from the how to operate the TV to where extra towels are located. Both suites we stayed in were as different as they were comfortable. Part of the charm of return visits is the possibility of trying a new suite on your next visit. They were well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Quiet relaxation is a big reason we stay here. No pets and no kids, so it caters more to the adult, laid-back break we all need. It's located far enough from the main area of Flagler Beach that you don't get all the noise and commotion, but close enough that you can get anywhere with a not-so-long walk or a quick ride on one of the bicycles provided. One of the best opportunities you can't pass up is Wolf's cooking! You MUST try the French Toast and Tex Mex! You're welcome! We went to the island cottages for a little rest and relax station. What we got was that and so much more. Toni and Mark are incredible hosts, and their new partners Maureen and wolf are equally fantastic. It was like we had for dear friends waiting for us upon our arrival. Anything we wanted they were already ahead of the game. The beach is literally across the road. Clean, beautiful sand. Actually, quite quiet... Almost like a private beach. The Aruba suite (where we stayed) was just the coziest, most comfortable room one could ever imagine. Every amenity you would want was there. But it was placed there with love and care. This experience exceeded any expectations we had...Clean, cozy, relaxing and beautiful are the words that come to mind when describing The Island Cottage Oceanfront Inn. It was quite a sanctuary; we weren't sure what to expect with this being our first bed and breakfast but you made it a very enjoyable experience. We felt very comfortable with you both. Toni and Mark, the house is incredible and the Breakfast was out of this world. The accommodations and hospitality were awesome. The Island Cottage, The Barbados Room was the perfect place, (I was born and raised in Barbados, West Indies) the beautiful handmade quilts and the room set-up really made us feel like we were living in a different, more romantic, time.  This experience exceeded any expectations we had. We had an absolutely marvelous stay at Maureen's and Wolf's inn. Maureen and Wolf are the Consummate Hosts; they do everything possible to make your stay the best. The Inn is quiet and serene, well insulated from neighboring houses. The suites are well appointed and lovely. You could well be at a Caribbean inn from all outside appearances. Be sure to enjoy Wolf's cuisine. Our meals were a true delight! I believe that one would be hard-pressed to find an area restaurant to compare with their cafe, which, by the way, is a work of art in its appointments. My birthday celebration was a quiet, relaxing treat! We will return to the Island Cottage Oceanfront Inn for a future 'fix'. read more

Toni & Mark have definitely found their calling in life. They not only have built a beautiful inn, but have service down to a science. From the moment we walked in our experience began. I won't spoil your trip by giving away all the special details we were treated to on our stay, but I can tell you a few things to help you make up your mind... ---I couldn't find a spec of dust anywhere on the property... It's white glove clean. Unheard of my the beach. ---Couples only... No kids...AHHHHH. ---Reserved parking... No late night searching for parking and hoping you don't get towed. ---Private pool area... No kids! ---Great views! I didn't go in all the rooms, of course, but the place it's thoughtfully planned to maximize views. Their website shows what rooms have what view/balcony situation. ---Breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, omelet, and mimosas, prepared served by the innkeepers. The only staff we saw during our stay was Sue, the housekeeper, who did an impeccable job of making sure when we returned to our rooms it was as if we'd never been there, but they were expecting is for the first time. Music, lighting, even the lines in the carpet ;) ... All in all a fantastic experience. This isn't just a place to sleep while in Flagler Beach, it's part of the experience! A must book for a romantic getaway. By far the best stay we have ever had in Flagler Beach. Second to none! read more

My now husband and I went here for originally a 3 night stay and to be eloped on Flagler beach by cottage owner Toni and Mark. Well our home in the Carolinas was being threatened by a hurricane that Thursday morning when we planned on heading out. I called Mrs Toni to see if we would be able to come in the day before to miss the storm. Not only did she comp our Wednesday night stay she had upgraded us to a much bigger suite. Arriving at this beautiful place was amazing! They have a personal tour of the property so we knew where everything was and what we could do right there on the property. On arrival there were fresh chocolate dipped strawberries, and just an absolutely beautiful room. Saturday if our wedding ceremony Mrs Toni picked me up from the hair salon, made me a beautiful fresh bouquet, helped me in my dress, took BEAUTIFUL pictures, performed our ceremony, and even more beautiful pictures afterwards. While we were doing all of this Mr. Mark snuck away to set up a beautiful wedding cake, more strawberries (on my request) ,champagne, rose petals and candles on the jacuzzi, even put all of our beautiful wedding photos on a disc for us. This is an amazing place and the owners are amazing people. They went ABOVE and BEYOND for our special day that was way more than we had ever expected. Will definitely be our anniversary place for now on. Can not wait to knock out our first year of marriage so we can return!!!! Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. They definitely deserve it!!!! read more
