    Unit 7 king size bed

It was a great location. It's near a lot restaurants. Across the street from the beach. Great sunrise location. Assigned parking for one vehicle. There are only 9 units so they sell out fast. Otherwise very nice and quiet. Room was very clean and updated. I noticed the water pressure can be low at times but not sure what that was about. They supply what you need at the beach for free.

Tucked away between a quiet road and beachfront, this Inn is designed with the romantic getaway in mind-- which I am sure my visit could be classified as (why not romance myself!). One of the employees, Dex, greeted me as I pulled up and gave me a bright smile as he led me around the property. There was a pristine poolside to take a dip, an activity room with books and games, and a shed filled with towels, chairs, and umbrellas to enjoy the coastal waters. He led me up to suite one, the room I would be staying in for the next couple of days. Suite One took my breath away as the open floor plan and airy space made me feel a world away from any stress that was plaguing me back home. It felt like a studio apartment but infinitely more cozy and inviting. The king-sized bed had crisp cotton sheets and feather-soft pillows. In the kitchenette area, there was complimentary boxed water along with a stocked mini-bar for any in-suite purchases, plus a mini fridge where I stored delicious leftovers from the bar down the street later that night. Speaking of night, once I came back in from a day at the beach and dancing, I promptly went to the bathroom for a shower/bath combo. The bathroom was stocked with Public Good products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The glass shower was a delight to rinse off all the salt, sand, and sweat from the evening. When I was craving in-depth self-care, the massive tub by the window was absolute perfection. I ran a hot bath, adding salts, bath bombs, and bath milk to make the waters soft and floral as I prepared a mocktail and smooth jazz playlist. The tub was clean, deep enough for my whole body to be submerged, and lastly comfortable enough for me to spend about an hour soaking. Once I finished I put in a fluffy robe that was in the closet and flipped onto the bed to watch Love Actually and eat pizza until I drifted off. The next morning ocean sounds and sun rays poured from the window as I woke up. I took a quick shower and went to the on-site cafe for a complimentary breakfast. Stepping into the tropical candy-coded cafe was an instant mood booster from the cloudy day outside. Jamie, an employee at the cafe, took my orders of house-made banana bread, muffins, and a yogurt parfait. I made some tea while waiting and enjoyed my breakfast out on the patio. After breakfast, I made my way to the beach for the rest of the day to catch some sun and splash in the waves. Island Cottage Inn has its own beachfront area for guests to use which makes this the ideal stay for anyone looking to escape the bustling urban life and relax in a tiny town on the coast of Florida.

We stayed one night on June 6 on our way from Charlotte to Port Canaveral. The location was perfect. The beach was clean and quiet. The owner met us upon arrival, gave us a quick tour of the property and our room. The room was absolutely adorable and very well appointed. There is attention to every detail on this property. They have beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas available for guest use at no charge. There were bikes out front, which I assume we could have borrowed, but we weren't there long enough to need them. In the morning, we were provided breakfast at the café near the pool at no additional charge. We walked 2 miles on the day of arrival and 4 miles in the morning (opposite directions) before leaving and did not see a property that looked as well-maintained. I would choose this property again.

Love love love this relaxing happy hour! From the service to the selection to the location, if you are looking for a great way to just chill on a Friday night, this is it!

Island Cottage Inn has quickly become our absolute, without question, favorite place to escape to. Maureen and Wolf are just the best hosts, and they go above and beyond to ensure you have the most memorable stay possible. The Inn is s direct reflection of the owners, and you feel the love and care every minute of your stay. We've stayed at the Inn twice now in the past 6 weeks, and walking back in on our second visit, we were treated like family. Upon arrival, the owners meet you with a warm welcome and provide a tour of the Inn and amenities so you're familiar with everything you may need. After that, they help you to your room and get you set up there...everything from the how to operate the TV to where extra towels are located. Both suites we stayed in were as different as they were comfortable. Part of the charm of return visits is the possibility of trying a new suite on your next visit. They were well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Quiet relaxation is a big reason we stay here. No pets and no kids, so it caters more to the adult, laid-back break we all need. It's located far enough from the main area of Flagler Beach that you don't get all the noise and commotion, but close enough that you can get anywhere with a not-so-long walk or a quick ride on one of the bicycles provided. One of the best opportunities you can't pass up is Wolf's cooking! You MUST try the French Toast and Tex Mex! You're welcome! I could go on for days about how amazing Island Cottage is, but I'll stop here. I'd like to be able to get a room in the future

My husband and I were in Flagler Beach for a friend's wedding. We started our stay at a horrible motel. The A1A. Lasted two nights before switching to the Island Cottage Inn run by Dex and Colton. What a difference. Plenty of room. Clean and a sense of community. Friday night happy hours and a morning light breakfast. A nice pool and a zen garden. They saved our vacation

We went to the island cottages for a little rest and relax station. What we got was that and so much more. Toni and Mark are incredible hosts, and their new partners Maureen and wolf are equally fantastic. It was like we had for dear friends waiting for us upon our arrival. Anything we wanted they were already ahead of the game. The beach is literally across the road. Clean, beautiful sand. Actually, quite quiet... Almost like a private beach. The Aruba suite (where we stayed) was just the coziest, most comfortable room one could ever imagine. Every amenity you would want was there. But it was placed there with love and care. Honestly, we can't say enough nice things about this place. But I will say one; We can't wait to get back there!

This is also the special place where my husband asked me to marry him in 2016. The owner, Heather, is so friendly and generous. She makes the best cheese plates in the afternoons for happy hour and the BEST omelettes for breakfast. By the way, breakfast and happy hour is included with your stay. Everything is made to order and the spreads are always incredible. One of the best perks about the Inn! It's romantic and relaxing all rolled into one vacation. The customer service from each lady at the Inn is outstanding. They truly care about your vacation and constantly check in to make sure you're more than happy with your stay. Heather even made hot tea for my husband one day and brought it out to him by the pool. So kind. Our air conditioner had an issue one night and we were promptly given a key to another room where we could sleep for the night. Heather had maintenance out the next morning and the issue was taken care of quickly. We have stayed in the Flamingo room and the Serenity room all times we've been here. These are the only two rooms located in the spa building and the heated mineral pool is right outside their doors. We love The White Orchid Inn and Spa and already look forward to the day when we return. The ladies really made our trip special this time around and we are grateful for that. Thank you Heather and team!

They do not know how to apply it however, so hoping all is settled at checkout. The room was clean and smelled like Pine Sol. We still wipe down all high touch areas again as part of our protocol. We did note some sheets were old and tearing on edge. The only challenge in the clean bathroom was a relatively worn out set of towels. Literally each towel had a hole and/or worn marks to a point where they should have already been tossed out. They appeared clean and very heavily used. This hotel allows dogs and appears to be kept to lower floor. While we have a pet, we do not travel with one and would prefer not to deal with pets while outside the home personally. Looking forward to a nice night sleep and quick breakfast before heading south and perhaps back to the Turkey Run at Daytona.

Real scrambled eggs, lots of bacon, tasty biscuits, almost "real" bagels, big variety of everything. 5) Convenient location. Immediately off the interstate. Only a few miles to beach. 6) Winn Dixie and couple of small restaurants in shopping center right next door. Cons: 1. bathroom fan not working 2. toilet running 3. desk lamp not working 4. luggage carrier, one side broken/unattached, kept falling off 5. Room seemed dark. 6. Biggest negative : The window didn't open and room smelled musty and like cigarette smoke. I agree with other reviewer that said this was not quite on par with usual experience at a BW Plus.

This isn't the Ritz Carlton, but I give it five stars because it is a definite must stay in Flagler Beach if you want a room with a view, living room, kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Each room has a different theme: fishing, flamingos, boating, etc. The cottages have porches on the front and even a side door through the kitchen! We love to park right outside the kitchen and it's easy to load and unload our vehicle. They are pet-friendly and when we arrive there are doggie bones on the pillows, so if you have pet allergies... ask in advance for a non-pet option, although I have allergies and the room is kept so clean my allergies really didn't bother me. They have a pool, which is always sparkly clean, but we usually visit in November so it's too cold to take a dip! The walk across A1A to their lookout deck is easy and gives a perfect view of the sunrise in the mornings. Just a few feed south of the deck is a walkway to the beautiful sandy beaches.

While we enjoyed our stay with the dogs -- they are so dog friendly, and even offer sheets to cover the futon in the living room and on the bed -- I don't believe I would stay here without the dogs. Hurricane Matthew really did a thing to the Whale Watch Motel in August 2016, ripping off a roof of one of their cottages as well as the facing of a couple of their buildings. This is unfortunate, and still under repair, but really doesn't account for the insides of the cottages that could use a bit of attention. Simple things need fixing -- no drain plug in bathroom sink, super cheap and broken soap bars (thankfully we brought our own), extremely rusty appliances (I get that the Florida salt damages items easily -- I live here too!), broken handle on the refrigerator, rusty metal shelves in the bathroom and kitchen, missing paint on the walls here and there...it's the little things that could be fixed or replaced while the big items outside (roofs) get some attention. Maybe even some nice landscaping in front of the units could be an easy project that would provide some curb appeal. We LOVE the location of this motel right across from a quiet part of Flagler Beach, but be careful crossing the street. The speed limit is 45, but cars were regularly going 60 and some were passing and weaving in and out. Just be extra careful. Units 9 and 10 face out toward the water, but the bummer is that people kept parking right in front of our building. Unit 9 had a better view than unit 10 for sure, but it was a shame that people would not park in front of their own units. There was no reason for them to park where they did, and block our view. We will stay here again with our dogs because Barry and Patricia are animal lovers and really make it easy on dog families, and with Flagler being a dog-friendly beach, it really is a great location. If traveling just as couples, I'm afraid I need something with a few extra bits of attention. They still get a 4 for their kind nature, clean toilets (!), and location.
