She has many lasting complications from this poorly done surgery, including chronic pain, significant nerve damage, and severe difficulty walking or standing. This was a relatively minor out-patient surgery. He apparently is or has been involved in several malpractice suits, and has in the past been disciplined for cocaine abuse. The getting in the front door and trying to do all of the insurance stuff in advance, as they suggest, was worse than pulling teeth. Hopefully this isn't everyone's experience. When you ask me for my insurance info and I give it to you more than once I expect that it is being input into. System you can later refer to. They continued to tell me my insurance was inactive. After many conversations explaining that they were pulling up my old insurance that this is new and yet again giving them all of the insurance details AND calling my insurer they said all was well. The day I arrived for my appointment - nope still pulled my old insurance. Then a miracle happened!!!!! OH we should probably enter your insured number....ya think! This was after they tried to get me to sign an uninsured payment statement!! Told me I'd need to reschedule if i didn't want to sign it. (I didn't sign). Finally all was magically found and my new insurance was there and the appt moved forward. Nothing is more frustrating than being in pain and having to stand on your swollen feet for /0 mins because of somebody else's incompetence. They were friendly and smiled the entire time so while signing in formmy appt was a fiasco it was at least pleasant. After the appt the staff were amazing and the follow up to prep for surgery has gone very well!

I had an Orthopedic appointment this morning with Dustin Hoffman, but sadly my efforts to obtain…read moregel injections fell short. I injured my knees several years ago and was diagnosed with bi-lateral chondromalacia of the patella resulting in painful giving way, sharp stabbing pain, extreme pain when extending the knees, and constant throbbing. After visiting my PCP, the week prior I was offered to receive steroid injections from my primary care provider in her office without any additional x-rays or MRIs, but I declined due to the correlation between steroids and opacification of the optic lenses. However, she provided a referral to a Dustin Hoffman who works at Emergeortho of Wilmington. In doing so, the scheduler called and I advised her that my PCP has the MRI summary for both knees and they should ask for said summaries to be forwarded in order to provide a clear picture of my condition, but due to the incredulity of the situation the office didn't request the MRI summary from my PCP resulting with Dustin Hoffman insisting on billing my insurance company for an X-ray even though by his own omission agreed that more times than not the x-ray image will show normal. I find this sort of mentality to be border line spurious and mendacious in nature. In addition, during my brief interaction with Dustin Hoffman he did not ask one question concerning my knees. Didn't ask about the trauma, the fact they give out, the sharp pain, or the constant throbbing or why my PCP referred me to him. The only concern he had was to be able to bill my insurance for an x-ray that he and I both knew would indicate normal imaging and at no time did he suggest a new updated MRI, which I would have capitulated to. Healthcare at its best in the United States now awaydays!! Two thumbs down!!

The girl who checked him in was very pleasant and helpful. Also, the nurse who called him back was very friendly and fun. He said that he and the doctor had a very informative and insightful conversation and he was pleased with his care. we also didn't have to wait long before he was called back. His entire visit from registration to check out was only about 95 minutes.
