I went on a Tuesday afternoon and walked right in and got instant service. The bartender was friendly and after I told him what kind of wines I like, he served me 6 wines that I liked. Some more than others, but I enjoyed all of them. (You can do wine tastings with 4 or 6 tastings). I ended up buying a glass of my favorite wine to go and a bottle of it. They also sell mimosas and Jell-O shots! You can walk around barefoot landing with the drunks. The bottle of wine was pricier than I usually go for, but it was delicious. There is a nice, large bar to sit at for tastings and a small couch area to sit at. My son waited for me in the couch area and enjoyed the air conditioning. read more

Walking into this place it was very pleasing aesthetically. With an open mind my friends and I were looking to do some wine tasting. We met the bartender Thomas, and let's just say Thomas was the furthest from a ray of sunshine. I couldn't tell if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning, or if he just genuinely is not a people person. He made me feel as if I was out of place and did not belong near his presence. Okay so this is not your high end wine tasting. You are at Myrtle beach. "Red & White" is airbrushed on the wall and there are decorative plastic grape vines all around you. Go with it! You have two choices - dry or sweet. Our wine server said most of his patrons go with the sweet tasting. I was not surprised. If you are into moscato and peach wine, you do you boo! I went dry, no contest. The tasting is $8 for a flight of 6 - three white and three red. When I commented I don't like oaky chardonnay, he brought out an unoaked version that I really enjoyed. He even threw in a Malbec at the end for us to try. The Pinot noir was excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting was well-paced. Loved this place. My husband and I did wine tasting and purchased a bottle before we left. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wines and really seem to enjoy their work. The decor was really cute. They were very accommodating. They were great at choosing wines for both mine and his different tastes. I like sweet he likes dry and we had some great choices. These are not local wines so if your looking for duplin they are just down the road! If you want something different gives this place a try and you won't be disappointed. The tasting was alright, however the blonde woman with glasses was cocky and rude and gave us little to no wine in our glasses and rushed us through the entire $10 process. This is where it gets bad; she sold us and essentially bullied us into buying a bottle of wine (which was very tasty) for $30. i never write reviews but couldn't help myself. Thomas should advertise that their bloody Mary's are made with sake before I spend 15 dollars on a drink that ended up in the trash. He makes the drinks behind a curtain so who knows what its actually made with. Didn't even put ice in it. And their "to go cups" is just a red solo cup. If you enjoy walking around with an overpriced warm Bloody Mary made out of Japanese wine this is the place for you. read more

We tried stopping in here to do a tasting before Umberto's opened next door (we had dinner reservations there and were early). Despite posted hours saying they were open, and two neon OPEN signs, when we entered the man behind the bar took one look at us and sniffed, then said "we're closed". Clearly not the Southern hospitality I was expecting on vacation. Read the reviews and beware. The gentleman waiting on us was pleasant and "knowledgeable". Little did we know that his backgrounds on the wines were completely fabricated and the wines were grossly overpriced. I wanted more in depth detail on one of the wines he had told us about, so I did some research. Not one bit of his story was true. I then looked up a couple more and found the same. Basically, the wines they sell are all in the $9 range, but they charge $26 - $45 a bottle. They must be charging for the story in addition to the wine. I stopped in just to see what it was all about. I should have just did my wine tasting and left. I paid $10 for 6 wine tasting, that was normal. My husband had 2 craft beers. We bought a $30 bottle of wine that I found out was actually OVERPRICED, I found it for $20 elsewhere, and 6 light larger beers for $4 each and our bill came to $90. I do not understand this math! Customer service was great until I was cheated out of $20. Never again will I patronize this establishment. If you go be sure to ask for a receipt, I did not get one, make sure he adds up your purchase correctly. read more

They state that they are open 11am to 11pm. Stopped by at 10:45 to pick up a bottle on the way out all the open signs were on but they were closed. Even the barefoot staff members were confused passed by it the next morning around 11:30 they had 5-10 people waiting open signs still on and the people were telling each other that it was closed. read more

The Coastal Wine Boutique at Pawleys Island is horrible. Before you pay one dime for any wine at this place google it online to get a fair price. The experience was the worst wine tasting I have been at. The lady serving could not speak clear English and kept changing what she said about the wine. She even poured a new wine in the same glass before I finished the previous one , mixing the taste. It cost $10 per person to taste the wine!! She would not tell the price of each wine and when we picked one, just said the wine was $29 and $31. I googled the wine later and one bottle sold online for $7.99!! What a RIP OFF. CCW read more
