The wine I ended up purchasing
    Suzette S.

I went on a Tuesday afternoon and walked right in and got instant service. The bartender was friendly and after I told him what kind of wines I like, he served me 6 wines that I liked. Some more than others, but I enjoyed all of them. (You can do wine tastings with 4 or 6 tastings). I ended up buying a glass of my favorite wine to go and a bottle of it. They also sell mimosas and Jell-O shots! You can walk around barefoot landing with the drunks. The bottle of wine was pricier than I usually go for, but it was delicious. There is a nice, large bar to sit at for tastings and a small couch area to sit at. My son waited for me in the couch area and enjoyed the air conditioning.

I had a nice wine tasting here! Not a huge selection but nicely curated. The guy behind the bar was nice. Cheap prices too!

    Pinot - excellent!!!

Great place!! Enjoyed the wine flight and the bartender was a super nice guy. Clearly educated in the art of fine wine. Had name brands like Artimes, Decoy, Stags Leap, etc. $8 for a flight of 4 was a great deal.

The gentleman behind the counter was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Three of us were tasting and we all have a very different tastes in wine. They had enough different varieties that we were all able to find wines that you liked.

Wine tasting with my crew. Great day! Fun layover. A Must Try!

So glad we decided to stop in for a wine tasting three for six dollars plus tax or six for $10 plus tax. Such a great day you won't regret it. Stop and have a good time.

Okay so this is not your high end wine tasting. You are at Myrtle beach. "Red & White" is airbrushed on the wall and there are decorative plastic grape vines all around you. Go with it! You have two choices - dry or sweet. Our wine server said most of his patrons go with the sweet tasting. I was not surprised. If you are into moscato and peach wine, you do you boo! I went dry, no contest. The tasting is $8 for a flight of 6 - three white and three red. When I commented I don't like oaky chardonnay, he brought out an unoaked version that I really enjoyed. He even threw in a Malbec at the end for us to try. The Pinot noir was excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting was well-paced. I didn't feel any pressure to buy wine after the tasting. Thumbs up!

The wine was REALLY good but I wondered if we over paid. The sales person was very skilled. She was kind to my children.... I'll say that.

Overpriced and a failed effort by staff to assemble a tasting for those who know which types of wine they prefer.

I found it online while searching for wineries and this was much closer to our preferences...what a clever concept! Meeting married co-owners Megan & Rich and learning of their career backgrounds and approach to opening this business (approximately 18 months ago), it is clear that they were destined to succeed. We were greeted by a charming, welcoming gal, who we came to learn was the female vocalist of the musical duo for the evening. I thought perhaps she might be on staff, which was partially the case. Nevertheless, she was so warm & friendly, making us feel entirely welcome before we even decided where we chose to sit. Having spoken to Megan a couple days prior to make our reservation and learn basic information about Wine Therapy, I knew we'd be ordering wines to taste but also looking forward to the charcuterie board, which was filled with all the selections my husband and I enjoy: Genoa salami, prociutto, Sopresatta, almonds, figs, chocolate-covered minced raisins, apricots...Mmmmm...so great!! I don't know if this list is complete, misspelled, etc, but it was so very good and there was enough for us to take home as a tiny snack for the next day. It is disappointing to add that our attempt to add hummus dip to our initial order was unsuccessful. The same was also true for dessert. Because Megan & Rich had been away up until opening for the evening, they admitted being behind in maintaining their "back-of-the-house" orders. Kudos for her honesty and adding an extra serving of chocolate covered raisins. Wise woman you are, Megan...little things make a big difference--in business and in life! We enjoyed the evening, the music (not too loud but pleasantly audible), the wine (my husband had a "flight", I had a wine slushy...both delish) and the welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back, bring friends and won't need to wait for anyone's birthday to do so!!

My wife heard about Coastal Vino via a FB group called Pelowinos and we figured we'd stop in for a drink. We are wine drinkers with fair to good knowledge about wine and were immediately impressed by the convivial and knowledgeable owner and master-of-ceremonies, David Coy. This is a wine shop/bar. When we arrived, there were friendly patrons at the few outside tables who pegged us for tourists (non-regulars) and made sure to point us to David inside. It was busy but we were able to get stools at the small bar. David asked us about our preferences and explained pricing and how one buys the bottle vs individual glasses to drink in-shop. Fellow patrons were very complimentary of the owner's knowledge and recommendations so we decided to let him choose a red for us. He chose an excellent Spanish old-vine garnacha. Perfect choice for us and we sat happily chatting with his friendly customers. The environment was part Cheers (but with wine) and part speak-easy. People were surprised that we stumbled upon this place and teased David about his store's countrywide reach. It was very friendly and welcoming considering many were regulars and local. Very fun and what a wine bar should be. Needless to say, we left with 3 bottles, two opened (which is allowed) and one recommendation that we decided to carry home. As a wine shop, it is well curated. You will not see the "plonk" that fills most other shops (and largely pays the bills). What you will find is a wine lover's oasis with quality selections from storied wine regions and some little known gems that David is happy to key you in on. As an aficionado of wine shops, I could easily tell I would like Coastal Vino and having a guy like David in your back pocket for recommendations is golden! I wish I was local because I would be there every week. If you are in the greater Myrtle Beach area, this is a great place to find fellow wine lovers and good bottles. Bottles seemed to be $20 and up. This isn't Total Wine ( thank God). This is a place for aficionados and aspiring wine lovers who understand that well made wine doesn't have to be expensive but isn't cheap. Coastal Vino strikes just that balance in an area ripe with possibilities. If you visit once, you will visit often. Cheers to David and his lively patrons!

We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot for sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything. It turns what could feel like a scattered menu into a fun, consistently solid dining experience.
