So glad we were able to finally stop in and try Bin 2004, it is top notch across the board. Every bite was absolutely delicious and favorable, the atmosphere is warm, inviting and comfortable with plenty of different seating options, the staff was attentive, knowledgeable and personable. Had an outstanding meal and wine, looking forward to future visits to taste other items on their menu. Shout out to our wonderful server Amanda. Save room for the house made Bread Pudding.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning and does not look like it belongs in Myrtle Beach! Would absolutely agree that it is on the pricey side, but the atmosphere cannot be beat in this area. Our drinks and food were delicious.

Experiences like Bin 2004 are almost nonexistent in NMB and the surrounding area. Super cool with a great vibe. The service was great. The drinks were creative and good. The food was very good. A very fun place.

Our table of four ordered 10 different tapas and every one was delicious. The service was excellent and gave great recommendations on wine.

She's a…read moreprofessionally trained chef (not the Sysco-and-a-microwave kind--the kind who shaves truffles, plates with microgreens, and makes brown butter a lifestyle). We travel often, eat well, and are working our way through a running list of Michelin-starred restaurants. I only say that to make clear: our palates aren't the problem. This spot had one of the more unusual atmospheres we've encountered. The interior leaned heavily into chrome, black lacquer, and a kind of flashy masculinity that felt a bit dated--think bachelor pad meets nightclub, with a lot of visual noise. Not necessarily a dealbreaker, but definitely not our vibe. The more serious issue was the table next to us loudly making disparaging comments about another couple nearby. The language was inappropriate and made everyone around visibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the staff didn't intervene. I understand you can't always control guests, but you can set the tone--and in this case, the silence spoke volumes. That said, my risotto was excellent. Perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply flavorful. I even told my wife (with some hesitation) that it might rival hers--which is high praise in our house. But the rest of the meal didn't quite measure up. Both of our cocktails tasted watered down, almost as if the original flavor had been diluted into a whisper. Her shrimp scampi arrived in a pool of liquid and lacked the garlicky richness we associate with the dish. It wasn't inedible, but it was definitely missing that bold scampi profile. There's clearly talent in the kitchen, and I can imagine someone having a great experience here on a different night. But between the odd ambiance, the inattentive service, and the uneven execution, it just didn't hit the mark for us. Three stars for the risotto and potential--but not a place we'd rush back to.

This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!

Numerous tables and booths available for seating, as well as the bar. And outside dining is also an option. Prices & portions seem reasonable. This place appears to get quite busy and also looks to have many regulars. Family-owned- European and Northern Italian influence. We came on a Saturday night, shorty before close, so we were able to get two seats at the bar. Our bartender was extremely attentive throughout our visit. Complementary bread is provided. Comes with a nice oil and garlic blend. Ordered the Bucatini Puttanesca & Spaghetti with Italian Sausage. These come with a dinner salad or up grade to a Caesar for $2 more (which I did). Both salads were fresh and delicious. I will say one of the best caesar dressings I've had. The pasta, presentation was lovely. The flavors bland, tomato sauce (tastes straight from the can) had no additional spices present and the pasta way over cooked. Seems their noodles are pre-cooked and Al Dente then is just not possible. This is another reason why the rating was just below average. Really disappointing. Would not be a place we would revisit.
