The overall experience with the practice was fine but the actual doctor that saw me was not great. She barely spoke to me and was dismissive of the concerns/issues I brought up and gave me no helpful advice/information. My previous eye doctor was very engaging, thorough and knowledgeable so this was quite a stark difference for me. I've had the same prescription for 10+ years and expressed apprehension about changing it but was basically told "try it and see what happens." But glasses are expensive and I can't just "try" prescription glasses I order online. Wasn't a great experience overall and probably won't be going back.

I brought back a pair of glasses because they seemed wonky and the gentleman fixed them while I waited, they were improved but still wonky. I figured maybe it was me, maybe I wasn't giving my eyes a break while viewing a screen when I was supposed to so I kept using them. At my next eye appointment (I go somewhere else for medical reasons) I asked them to check and see if the glasses matched the prescription and they said they were way off, that because of astigmatism it's important that they be centered correctly. So, I called and asked for the owner to talk about the error in the glasses. She did not return my call for about a week and when she did she seemed really defensive saying that it is not possible that the glasses left there with a flaw. Then said that they had to special order the frames because I wanted old frames which I was very appreciative of and thanked her again for. She then said that it had been a year since I got the glasses to which I replied I think it's been 9 months but thinking, who cares, I wasn't asking her for anything. I was calling to let her know that the person working on the glasses may need some more training on centering glasses. And to order new glasses with the new prescription I just received (that I did Not expect free at this point but was hoping for a discount due to driving cross-eyed-ish for 9 months). She finally snapped "you'll need to bring those in." Obviously. I don't think I'll ever go back there, she obviously cares more about not being wrong than she cares about her customers.

I was seen within five minutes of my arrival, the newer services were explained to me which I really appreciated prior to going in to see the doctor, so I knew exactly what was going to happen, again the doctor was knowledgeable and informative and overall, she was really laid-back and supportive. The fact that it's very close to my house it's just a bonus. I would certainly recommend right after I told you to make sure you go ANNUALLY!

I've struggled with contacts, changing prescriptions, and chronic dry eye, and her treatment has helped me so much (better quality contacts, special drops for a couple weeks, and thorough exams for accurate diagnoses and prescriptions). I've always come to Lickteig as an adult (previously the one in Natick) and have always found my experiences much better than anywhere else I've gone growing up! Plus the yearly optomaps are great to have for acute detection of any health risks or eye concerns. When I visited a few months ago for bad dry eye (successfully treated!), Dylanee (?) was so friendly and helpful at reception. Last weekend I went for annual exam for my contacts & glasses, and the receptionist was so efficient and friendly (girl with clear glasses and black hair). My mother booked an appointment with the other receptionist, and was really pleased with her service and is excited to visit.

Dave worked his magic on my glasses and they are as good as new. Dave was very meticulous and did an impeccable job. Both Dave and Leon have great customer service skills. The optician, Glynis, was exceptional - went above & beyond to make sure the Rx was correct for my mothers changing vision while also making my mother feel good & have a pleasant experience. What made me upset was that for almost $600 I was given the floor sample frames with new lenses. They were flimsy pieces of junk and within a week BOTH earpieces had snapped off. No, the screws don't come loose, the actual earpieces snapped off the frame. Gee, I wonder why, maybe because HUNDREDS of people had been trying them on until someone with Masshealth came in and you knew you could shove them off on them. I saved my script and ordered online at zeelool and I'll never look back. I was able to get three pairs of strong, sturdy, fashionable frames for less than $100. Much better than the highway robbery that occurred at this doctor's office. Shame on you for taking advantage of a disabled person.

Took my wife for an eye exam today. I have been going to a Dr Wladis at this place for years. All…read morethe staff and especially Dr Wladis. He has retired so our appointment was with a Dr Rad. It important that I tell you my wife is handy capped. She suffers from Parkinson's disease , dementia and hearing loss. All the techs that we saw (3) were great very patient with her , kind and understanding. Then me met Dr Rad. He spent less than 10 minutes with her. He looked in one eye had difficulty opening it and told her that they could make her vision clearer with glasses and that she had cataracts that would have to be removed in the future then he left. Now as I said I have been going there for a number of years and my time with the doctor entailed him looking at each eye and call numbers to the tech at the terminal. This is usually a 20 minute process. It was obvious to me Dr Rad was not willing to spend the time with wife. When I got home I called the office (was put on hold for 25 minutes) and asked that my appointment next year be with a different doctor. I also asked that my appointment for August this year be with a different doctor. As I said all the staff (technicians) were great it was just Dr Rad who was awful. If you go there I strongly suggest you see someone other than DR Rad.
