Frank was able to eventually fix our old tv that we didn't want to replace. Ended up taking over a month waiting for parts and $140 plus later to repair it. Cost depends on size of TV. Overall Frank was very nice and helpful and kept us informed on what was going on plus delivering the tv after repair, I'd say call Frank and save the environment/recycle. read more

Frank took the time to explain to me different possibilities of what may be wrong with my 75" LG TV. He walked me through troubleshooting steps in an effort to prevent me from having to have it repaired or at least expedite the process. I found Frank to be extremely patient and understanding as well as giving me some knowledge. I can. Not imagine him being any sort of way to get a bad review and I am very surprised to see that anyone had an issue with him. Electronics are very finicky and you can not fault a technician who may misdiagnose the issue. There's a reason why the term 2nd opinion exists. Frank is a true genius at his craft! My TV would not turn on, and he was able to diagnose that multiple components were toast. He's very professional, friendly, and courteous. The repair took a long time (months), but this was due to me only being able to afford the cheapest replacement. The part was very scarce, yet with patience, he was able to find a viable replacement from a source who's price was low enough for my budget! He was willing to work with me on the price, and was very understanding, patient, and accommodating. I ended up paying less than half of what other places would have charged me. While I was in his shop, I saw his many TVs on sale, and the prices were far better than anything I'd seen before. He said he would repair my old LCD TV for $80.00. I reluctantly agreed because the TV isn't worth that much. He seemed to be a good guy. Two weeks later I went to pick it up and he wanted $140.00. I found this location based on yelp reviews but was definitely let down. I loved the idea of contributing to a locally owned shop but unfortunately, I had an awful experience. My TV had stopped working suddenly and I was ultimately told it could not be fixed. This is fine as could have very well been accurate. However, I was told an assessment on my television would take only so many days but instead it took a month only to learn that nothing could be done. Furthermore, I had to call repeatedly to get updates by my own initiative though I was told I would be contacted. For that, I am unsure if I was scammed or not. Not honest!!! I called them and asked for a quote to fix my receiver. Frank told me just bring it in and he will tell me what is wrong with it for free, and then i can decide to fix it or not. Well first of all I called him back when he told me, which was about 3 day later to find out the details, he didn't have an answer for me until 6 days later. Then he told me the price and i said it was too expensive and id like to pick it up. He said no problem, but you have to pay me $20 to put the unit back together!!! Wow. that was never discussed. SO if you take you stuff there make sure you discuss the hidden fees upfront. read more

I don't give many 5 stars, but Cobb Electronic Repair and its owner, Frank, deserve it! We have a 55" Magnovox big screen projection TV that is 10 years old and when I explained to Frank the problems we were experiencing, he knew exactly what was wrong. He arranged to come over 2 days later and said he would call me before he left his store. Frank called when he said he would and arrived on time, after he closed his store. When he walked in the house, he removed his shoes and got to work. I have never been more impressed with a serviceman. I highly recommend Frank. He is honest, dependable and his fees were fair.
