If I could give him more stars I would!!! While I was exercising in my apartment two weeks ago, a mouse skittered across the floor in front of me. I freaked out. This is not normal for my apartment where I've been living for a very long time. Of course it was a Friday and I knew I wasn't going to get anyone to come until the next week, if then. I slept in a nearby hotel for three nights because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with a mouse running around my apartment. Cobblehill Exterminators was recommended to me that Sunday by the handyman in my building who had had a very good experience. I called, assuming I'd be leaving a message on a Sunday and yet Mike Corrao picked up even though I could hear his infant baby in the background who he was taking care of that day. He said he'd be there the next day and he was!!! Mike came in with all the equipment he might have needed and got to work, even though he had taken care of TEN clients that day already. He checked everywhere and reinforced what had already been done and explained that the fee, which I found reasonable, included follow-up visits. He is very pleasant to be around and very efficient. I have a terrace which, unfortunately, has had rats lately, and Mike is coming back to do a different treatment out there after he checks the inside. I live in a floor-through in an old Brownstone in Carrol Gardens. I know Michael because he comes about once a month and sprays all the apartments in the building. He's been doing this for years. Micheal is the sort of guy who is super warm and very respectful. If my 3yr old is napping and he arrives, we tiptoe around the apartment whispering so as not to wake her up. Just recently I had a mouse. So I called Michael up and had him come over. We talked about what we could do since the building is so old and I hate traps. We eventually decided to go over the entire apartment to "seal" all the significant holes and cracks (after we knew the mouse was not around). He did it with a combination of foam/steel wool/and brown caulking (to blend into the floorboards). It took several hours, and the work was excellent. His attention to detail was very clean and nearly invisible. I can't recommend Michael enough. He's very affordable, he's grown up in the neighborhood, and loves to help his fellow residents. read more

I called Michael from Cobble Hill Exterminators to service our new home to help avoid any future pest problems. I was very happy with his work, he was easy to reach, had appointments available at convenient times, showed up when he said he would and I felt like he took his time and was very thorough in looking for any areas that unwanted critters could get through. He plugged up holes cleanly, honestly to the point that I wouldn't even have noticed the work had I not explicitly looked for it, which is great. He also sprayed for mosquitos in the backyard and set some preventative bait traps on the property since it looked like some our neighbors had rodent problems. We have decided to have him come back monthly to just maintain a pest free property and I'll update this review if that service is anything other than great. After a stressful encounter with a mouse problem, given our building's contracted pest control vendor(base on in LI) 3 visits, resulted in 22 traps scattered around our apartment with very little to show for it. We still were regularly seeing and hearing them around the apartment, as well as seeing their droppings right next to the traps. They are literally shitting on our efforts to get rid of them. Mike at Cobblehill Exterminators is my new hero. We've had rats in the ceiling for months, and we've already tried working with two separate exterminator companies. After two failed attempts to rid ourselves of the rats, we were left with a square foot hole in the ceiling (someone didn't exactly know what they were doing and also never came back to fix the damage), and sprinkles of poison dust on places where you really don't want to find it (i.e. the keyboard, the bed). Mike came in and took one look at the hole and said what the heck happened here. He not only got to the root of the rat problem without any traceable damage, he also put me in touch with a trusted contractor to seal the hole left by the guy who came before. Michael came back as he said he would. What he did was touch up the work of another exterminator (who I did not like as well) as I still had mice droppings showing up under the stove.
