Terrible service no one acknowledged entrance to the store very messy and dirty overall poor service .... Go somewhere else :(

Had a pair of high end kitten heels and a tip needing replaced. Stopped in just after lunch, Marion assessed the heel, said he would put a new tip on both shoes and to return in 20 minutes. I was so happy! I walked in the mall a bit, returned in 30 minutes, shoes were not just repaired as he stated but, the heels were both buffed to a beautiful shine. A nice surprise to be sure. His price was fair. The workmanship was exceptional. And, most importantly, I am VERY happy! Note: I had never been here before and after reading the reviews was a bit concerned. I do NOT know what those individuals were wanting but, I am here to tell y'all, he did an phenomenal job and has a customer for life. I am telling ALL my friends. read more

Wow, just wow. I was OK with the inflated price to just leather a backing to the heals of my dockers. Told, pick them up in two weeks. OK. Show up on day of....they were still int this huge pile of to be worked on...literally..a huge pile the custodian had to dig into to find. Had not been touched, and had been dumped in a dumpster with others, furthering more damage. "Oh...they will be ready to day, at close". WRONG ANSWER. This is what you get with foriegns with poorer standards.Two weeks, didn't even touch, expect me to wait another 6 hours ....My gawd..you could have called me..you had the phone number and my money, and says you were still backed up. While visiting Frederick, I lost the heel to my shoe. I was looking for a quality repair in a New York minute. This shop is tucked away in the Frederick Mall near the Macy's. They were able to replace the cheap heals with high quality rubber ones and turned around the work in minutes. They look awesome. Friendly service, too, which you don't always get in Manhattan. read more

Avoid this place. I dropped off boots on Tuesday several 2 1/2 weeks ago and was told they'd be ready by the following Thursday. I was charged for the repair then. I came back today to find that my boots were not repaired and were just sitting up on the main counter with a ton of crap. Place is a mess. read more

Dropped of shoes on a Saturday told me they would not be ready until Thursday, came to pick them up on Saturday for a heel repair and per their recommendation adding slip resist and for my husbands snow boots to get the soles re glued. Picked them up and the glue is still wet and visible. The heels I dropped off did not have the anti slip added and we paid $78.00 for this. Total rip off, prices are arbitrary and the craftsmanship is poor. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! Don't be fooled by the name of the business--It's actually called Patrick Shoe Repair. I stopped by on June 1, 2024 and was told my shoes would be ready Wednesday June 5th. Well when I showed up on June 10th he couldn't find my shoes and took my ticket behind a pile of shoes and wrote June 13th and told me the date was on the ticket. I apologized I didn't see the date and told him I would be back. I returned on the 15th and he couldn't find my shoes again and finally found them under a pile of shoes and they were not even fixed. He asked me if anyone called me. I told him no and he started to lie again about how he had to order special glue???? He asked me to come back in 20minutes and my shoes would be fixed. WOW 20mins is a big difference than 2 weeks. I came back and my shoes where nailed and it didn't look like he glued them. He lied again and said he glued them...He continued to give me lip service and not customer service. I will never recommend or go there again. RUN-----don't use PATRICK SHOES. I'm surprised he is still in business. Lesson learn--$37.10 was the cost of this lesson. I could have brought a new pair of shoes and not had the hassle. Go to the Shoe Dept which is right acrossed from this nasty place...Wish I could give ZERO STAR. read more

I took my MCM bag to Marlon to fix...my strap broke. He explained to me how if he did it one way what it would look like opposed to the simplest way. I went with the simple route bc I wanted my strap fixed ASAP...did not want to wait a long period of time. When I picked it up I was very please and happy with his work. I'm glad that he informed me of everything bf I made my decision. He has a very nice sense of humor and was very nice. I would recommend him and I will be going back in the future. Wish I could give zero stars - dropped shoes early in week with pickup set for Friday at 6PM. Did not make it in until 4:30 today and shoes weren't touched. Had to explain to employee that him not knowing he was to do them was not my fault and argued to get my money back - don't go here if you expect service completion deadlines to be met. read more

I recently purchased a new pair of leather cowboy boots. The vamp needed stretching as they were a bit tight in the instep. I called Cobbler's Bench yesterday to confirm that they were open until 8:00 PM so I could run right out there after I got off of work at 7:15 PM and drop my boots off. The man on the phone assured me they would be there until 8:00. I also inquire about the price and he tells me $20.00. I left work and drove across town. I fought traffic and cursed my luck at lights. I finally arrived. I parked right by the mall entrance at Miyako's and walked in. The time was 7:47 PM. One older Asian lady was there working on a pair of pants. I stood at the counter for a few minutes until she finally looked up at me and in broken English inquired if I was there for the cobbler. I answered in the affirmative and she manages to inform me that "he already go home". After a few more moments of stunted conversation, she comes over to the cobbler's counter and hands me a ticket and tells me to put my name and phone number on it. I attempt to explain to her that I need the vamp stretched which drew no response. After a blank stare, she actually cocks her head to the side and goes "drop off"? I confirm that I would like to drop off the boots for service. She takes them and the ticket, hands me the bottom portion of the ticket and then just sets the boots on the counter right up front with the ticket haphazardly sitting on the toes. She doesn't make sure the boots were connected or paired in any way. She then walks away and into a back room. Befuddled, I leave. I securely place my claim ticket in my wallet and promise to myself that I will call them the next morning at 10:00 AM, right when they open to make sure that my boots are still there and to explain what I need done. I call at 10:00 AM. No answer. I call at 10:10 AM. No answer. I call at 10:15 AM. No answer. I call at 10:24 AM. No answer. I call at 10:36 AM. FINALLY. The same man as yesterday answered. I explain that I had come in last night around 7:45 but no one was there. I ask if my boots are still there. He gives an awkward laugh and advises that he was getting ready to call me. Once again, I tell him that I need the vamp stretched up. I again inquire about the price. He confirms what he told me yesterday on the phone, $20.00. He tells me I can pick up my boots on Monday evening after 5:00 PM. UPDATE: I arrived at the store at 5:50 PM today (9/9/2013). SURPRISE! The staff of the Cobbler's Bench are NOT there. And again, I have to attempt to explain to the older Asian lady that I am here to pick up my boots. She wanders around the back until I finally point out my boots. She brings them to the counter; the right boot still has the stretcher in it which she asks me to remove. I'm pretty sure this isn't my job but I do it anyway. I try my boots on -- ONLY THE RIGHT BOOT HAS BEEN STRETCHED. The lady rings me up and says "$20.00". I try to explain to her that they are not done correctly. In broken English she tells me to just call back tomorrow. She says I have to "just pay now". Obviously, I'm not going to get anywhere with her, so I pay and leave. I haven't decided if I will even bother calling the store tomorrow to address my issues. It probably won't even be worth it. read more

I was very pleased with the service. My boots look like brand new again. The price was very reasonable. They even polished the boots with no extra charge. It was a nice bonus! I gave four stars because it took longer than I thought. I would definitely recommend this place. read more
