A friend recommended Coby Madison for us to get our 7 year old daughter's ears pierced. We read the reviews and felt comfortable driving from Lakewood to Whittier for a sanitary and overall positive experience. I called the location and spoke to Debbie, who was kind and helpful in scheduling a same day appointment for me and my daughter. I was getting a second set of piercings for myself (to motivate my daughter who was a little nervous). I was told they typically do piercings Friday/Saturday/Sun and appointments are preferred. The location is a jewelry store so they buzz you in. The store is incredibly clean and welcoming. Debbie and Nikki assisted us. They sanitized my daughter's ears, let her pick out the earrings she wanted (good variety of 14k gold/white gold), and did the two ears at once since they had both staff present. They use a gun like device that pinches the earring in versus a thick needle. It was done within seconds. My daughter was given a certificate for bravery and tiara as well. They even gave me one so we could take a photo together. Thank you, Debbie and Nikki, for being so kind and patient with my daughter. She left with the biggest smile . I am so grateful to the amazing team at Coby Madison for repairing my wedding rings. I had been meaning to come in to get my rings resized as they had started to fit tight, but I waited too long and ended up having to get them cut off! One night I could not get my rings off no matter what I did! My finger even got swollen from trying to get my rings off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next morning, I went into Coby Madison and was greeted by James. I explained my situation and he looked at my finger and right away noticed that it was swollen. He said he could help with cutting the rings off. He was able to get them off quickly, and although I was relieved to get them off after being stuck, I also felt sad that they had to be cut off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While getting the rings cut off, I got hot due to being nervous and James had me take a seat and gave me some water. I really appreciated how kind he was and that he understood having my rings cut off can be a bit emotional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since my finger was swollen, I had to wait until the swelling went down to return to be sized for my rings to be repaired. James provided me with a bag to keep the rings safe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I returned two weeks later to make sure the swelling was completely gone. This time I was helped by Linda and she was amazing. She had me try on different rings to make sure we got the correct ring size.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She provided me with options on how I could repair my wedding ring if I needed to change the design. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She informed me that the store has a texting system which makes communicating with their customers easier. This really was convenient for me to get updates on the repairs for my rings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had originally informed me that it could take 3-4 weeks depending on how many orders they are working on, so I was pleasantly surprised when my rings were ready in two weeks. I brought my 12 year old in January of this year to get her first lobe piercings. It has been 11 months and her ear lobes have not healed. I clean them every other day with saline and they've been irritated. I took her to my piercing place today and they told me that both piercings were crooked and pierced at an angle causing irritation at the piercing site. This is why the piercings haven't healed in almost a year! They recommended that she take them off and let them heal and they would re-pierce it with a needle instead of the gun these guys use. I am super annoyed and disappointed that not only have I lost out on $180 for the white gold set, but now my daughter has to essentially redo the piercings and go thru more healing. Very disappointed that these ladies didn't pierce her ears straight which caused unnecessary discomfort to my kid for almost a year. read more

I had called two weeks before but they recommended calling a week ahead and they were able to schedule me in. Their business was easy to find and pretty accessible. I've come here twice and both were disappointing. The first time was on a Tuesday to find out they were closed. The second was yesterday. It's a small, quaint shop that is locked with a door buzzer to be allowed in. When I entered I was given strange looks from the workers that were uncomfortable until one of them asked if I needed help. I explained that I was looking for a necklace charm and a link necklace. It seemed as if the person helping me (which I believe was the owner) wasn't sure of their stock as she went to each case looking for a charm I described. This she said she would have to send me pictures. She also stated she had a link necklace in the back room, yet she never brought it out. Again she stated she would send me a picture. No pricing was discussed. She spent most of our time talking about her experiences and other peoples stories. I left empty handed and disappointed.
