After several weeks of prepping my skin with red light therapy and using Aestura to help strengthen my skin barrier, the pigment finally stayed. The color did heal a bit darker than I originally anticipated, but I was honestly just thrilled to see real retention this time and excited to see how everything would soften with a touch-up. Jewlz checked in with me during the healing process and really listened to my concerns about the color. For the touch-up, she used a brown pigment to soften and balance the brows and that made all the difference. It's now been a few weeks since healing from my third appointment, and I can confidently say I love my brows. Jewlz truly worked her magic. I'm so grateful for her patience, transparency, and commitment to getting the results right. She essentially gave me a second session at no extra cost since we had to start over, and she never once made me feel rushed or upsold. Something I deeply respect. Trust your Internet Auntie. I've gotten my brows micro bladed before somewhere else about 3 years ago (ombré brows). They faded within 3 months. I was so disappointed because this shit is expensive. I was told my skin was too oily and I sweat too much which messes with retention. Micro blading is just another word for tattooing your face in small sections in my opinion. So my dream of actually have eyebrows without having to pencil them in faded as fast as my bladed brows did. Now three years later I stumbled on Jewlz IG. Whoa, I was impressed. What the heck are nano brows? I'm not gonna explain it - just read her info on this page for the best description by the actual expert. I told her I wanted hair like strokes to look natural and real. Not like an Angry Bird and not like solid black bands on my face. I don't want it to look "obvious". She explained my options and mapped my face. She explained exactly what her plan was. Three hours later and my perfect nano brows were completed! I couldn't believe it ... I had my brows exactly as specified. I had a distinct nose bridge! I looked younger! I was happy! Julie is easy to talk to and easy to work with. She "got" what I wanted in just a few words. I'm on day 12 and they have hardly peeled in the healing stage. Tiny dry skin flakes but nothing major. She said nano brows offered good retention and so far that's been the case. I know you want to know "did it hurt?" Pain is different for everyone. She does the first pass as-is to get the outline done. Then she applies numbing cream. It feels like a sharp repetitive sting but you get used to it quickly.
