A casual spot for a variety of vegetarian friendly Indian food in the suburbs of Columbus. Located…read morein a busy area of strip centers, you'll find this place close to Trader Joe's. Free parking right by the entrance. Once inside you can head to the front to place an order and pay. They provide a medallion that lights up when your order is ready. Proceed to the pick up counter to get your meal and seat yourself. Mostly self service style dining. Staff were friendly. The food was okay. Very spicy and all kinda tasted the same after a while. Portion sizes were smaller than expected so we had to order more. Be sure to ask for a side of yogurt if you can't handle spice. Tried the Chole Bature. It comes with the option of one or two puri. Opted for one because traditionally one puri is huge. In this case one felt like it wasn't enough and the Chole (chickpeas) was a small portion. The Raj Katchori was decent but needed more chutney. Pav bhaji very spicy and small portion for price. I thought they had sugarcane juice in the fridge, but it was jal jeera. Chai was basic. They sell a variety of sweets and fancy boxes for gifts too.

There's a restaurant called Martini's and a brew thru and a Car Repair Shop all in front of it. You just have to keep driving back. You will know you found it when you see the colorful seating and outdoor lights. The truck is also a bright pink color! We ordered the potato Dosa, the chicken fried rice and the chicken curry. His English was not the best but he understood what we wanted. He gave us a sample of tea while we waited. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat at one of the tables. The wait was around 10 minutes and well worth it. We took the food home to share with my husband. I loved how everything was so fresh and flavorful. It's so delicious and authentic. The chicken fried rice was not the Chinese version but an Indian version with all the Indian flavors. The chicken in our curry did have some bones but I really enjoyed all the spices and flavors. It's my new favorite food truck if I want something spicy and different. I will be back!

And I've long been frustrated by the fact that most of the best Indian places in our area are up in Dublin - but not anymore! Lewis Center now has the BEST authentic Southern Indian food in a darling outdoor setting thanks to Sandy's food truck! Bestie and I were blown away by the quality, freshness and flavors of our meal last night. If you're up for a culinary adventure, head up 23 to Sandy's; pull in just north of the motorcycle shop and BBQ cabin and drive around to the back. We tried the potato masala dosa - a huge crispy crepe bigger than your head and folded with tasty filling tucked inside. Also the dahi puri appetizer was flavorful and perfectly spiced. Our favorite was the Masala punugulu - little fried dough balls with spicy dipping sauces. To die for!

It pains me to write this review because I've been a loyal Everest customer for a long time now. I…read morekeep retrying them, hoping to recapture what it was that I used to like about this place, but after so many failed attempts I've come to a sad conclusion: this place is no longer any good. Some of it's the food. It is wildly variable in quality. Some nights it's absolutely delicious and rich, but lately no matter how spicy I order my food it comes to me as though no seasoning was added at all. What have you done to your curry that it is somehow *boring*? Or the Tikka Masala my wife ordered that seemingly had no tomatoes added to it and was a bright shade of yellow; I'm convinced that it was a very bland korma. But the service also leaves a lot to be desired. Dinner with four adults and a toddler a few months ago ended with 2 of the adults getting their food while the other two adults waited 20 minutes to get theirs -- all while trying to keep an impatient toddler from losing it. Today, the food I called in at 1:20 and was told would be ready in a half hour still wasn't ready at 2:15. No apology, no partial refund. Just wait another 15 minutes. I'm done with this place. It's too inconsistent.
