As such despite visiting fairly often we rarely come to the clubhouse. Every once in a while we want the vibes and do it anyway but always leave at least a little disappointed. Breakfast buffet is decent with a pretty good amount of options but it's also quite expensive. The service is generally classic passive aggressive southern hospitality with some more genuinely nice servers sprinkled in. I do understand this part is a little hard to overcome as they of course need to hire locals, but it's an aspect of the experience nevertheless. On the positive side, it's a beautiful location. I just wish the pub area were more amenable for future hangs. Also of course everyone drinks and drives, so it would also be cool if there were a shuttle within Lake of the Woods, but I suppose that's a separate complaint. This should be gathering spot for a large portion of the community, instead I understand it to be struggling when it absolutely should not be. I don't know how management doesn't realize that without making proper changes it will continue to struggle but alas.

The single shot sometimes throws people off as most US made cappuccinos are made with 2 shots (and baristas often scratch their heads at me wondering what to do with the extra shot!) The barista at Curitiba was friendly and accommodating - and made the perfect cappuccino - with just the right amount of diesel without the bitterness (that is symptomatic of a strong coffee). The surrounding area has plenty of Mexican restaurants but this Honduran restaurant brings Central American flavor to the table (pun intended!). The menu is pretty extensive and they serve pretty much all the traditional dishes from breakfast to dinner (they're open 6AM to 9PM). Some dishes are only available certain days of the week, so be sure to ask if your pick is available when you visit. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and brought menus right away. Mr. Marvin, who is the owner's husband, took our drink order and even brought us a little appetizer on the house (tostones with pico de gallo). As an appetizer, we had "pastelitos," which are akin to beef empanadas. Pastelitos (3x order) are deep fried and filled with diced potato and ground beef. They are served with slaw and a side of salsa. Delicious. For our entrees we had the Bandeja Paisa (a platter of various Colombian dishes including chicharrón (pork rind/crackling), chorizo, rice, beans, avocado, and plantain. This is the way to go if you're hungry. We also had the enchiladas (2x order), which are essentially a fried tortilla with ground beef topped with slaw, a tomato slice, hard boiled egg, and grated cheese. They are large, so two enchiladas is plenty. Very authentic and with plenty of flavor. So good! The restaurant offers fresh natural juices and soft drinks. They also have a number of Honduran desserts (check out the "Others" part of the menu) and, on the other side of the restaurant, they also sells smoothies, crepes, waffles, and snack food (sisters business called Chile Mango). The waitress was attentive and offered to refill our beverages (my ice water and my friend's sweet tea) many times and checked on us as well. The fish was succulent, fried to perfection, flavorful and moist and served with at least four, and more likely 6 ounces of tartar sauce that didn't skimp on the diced pickles. Two lemon slices (one for the ice water, one for the fish) accompanied my meal. The meal left me feeling full, satisfied and satiated and I wont hesitate to return again in the near future. Their breakfast menu was very reasonably priced and my colleagues fried eggs, french toast and grits looked delicious. Excellent portion sizes at very reasonable and affordable prices. A pauper could dine like a prince at Frank's Diner! The diner itself is tastefully appointed and was not overly loud, despite being at above 50% capacity. Wood paneling with painted white wall board with some interesting décor added to the experience. We left our charming waitress a generous tip in line with the excellent service. This is one of the best restaurants in the charming small town of Culpeper and I would encourage everyone to try it.
