The food was mediocre as was the service. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly dark-haired woman who quickly sat us at a table. She told us the bartender would be our server and then let the bartender know. We watched the bartender refill drinks, casually chat with the patrons seated at the bar, and head to the back, and other than a few glances in our direction she never acknowledged us. After waiting more than twenty minutes (I checked my watch), the woman who sat us said the bartender was "too busy" so she would wait on us. We ordered nachos with grilled chicken, and a combination of garlic parmesan and mild bone-in wings. After our server headed back to put in our order, a couple who were obviously regulars/family/friends of the bartender entered the building. The bartender acknowledged them immediately and had them sat at a table to the right of the door. She came over to their table right away and chatted with them at length several times. Ironically, they even received their food before we did. Our server was friendly and polite, but being ignored for twenty minutes was annoying. In hindsight, we should have just gotten up and left. As for the food, the nachos were not good. The cheese was ice cold and tasted like it came straight from a can. The grilled chicken had little to no flavor, and there were diced tomatoes on top rather than the salsa or pico de gallo that the menu said would be on them. The wings were decent but nothing spectacular. The garlic parmesan flavor was really tasty, but the wings were not consistently sized so some were cooked better than others. The bigger ones had fat that was not rendered out (a pet peeve of mine). Our server checked on us, and a few minutes later the bartender walked by our table with cleared dishes, asked if we were doing okay, and mumbled something about being sorry she didn't wait on us.

The moment we arrived, it was clear how much excitement this place has already generated -- people were willing to wait in the cold just to get inside. And once you step in, you understand why. The decor is stunning. Guests immediately started taking photos of the walls and ordering area, and I did too. The space is vibrant, modern but with a throwback feel, and it sets the tone before you even place your order. Now, the burgers. Incredibly tasty. Perfectly smashed, full of flavor, and cooked just right. You can tell a lot of care went into crafting the menu, and the limited opening‑day selection was a smart move, it kept the line moving and made decisions easy. The atmosphere was another highlight. The drink station was also all the way in the back and becomes a one way path when it gets busy. The path to get from placing your order at the cashier up at the front, to the drink area in the back, got slim when busy since people were sitting at the tables and the bar. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty.
