I was looking for healthy seafood option in Downtown Savannah and came across this casual restaurant which also had online ordering. I tried the Tuna in the Arden which was a poke bowl with cucumber, tomatoes, nigiri, avocado on a bed of white rice. There was not much tuna relative to the rice which was disappointing. In addition, the sauce kinda masked the natural tuna flavor. The ingredients were fresh but I just wish there were options to substitute sauce. This is me n my wife's 1st time here at Coco. We happened to be walking and saw a sushi shop and decided to stop. Now where the sushi was good, well prepared and plated nicely, this restaurant surly lacked a few things. The service sucked. We sat for around 20-30 mins with one cup of water before placing an order with the excuse of being busy as we looked at 10 other people on the building. Over the hour and 30 mins we were there we saw our waitress pass by with no concern for us and stop at most 3 times, before leaving the check without asking are we ready for it. We ordered drinks and they came out after the sushi itself. The drinks were lack lusters. They looked nice but had us both wondering if there was any actual acohol in them. It seems as though the bartender used a lot of over-powering flavors like ginger and mint to mask the fact that no liquor was in there. When we got the check we were surprised at how much it cost for two rolls and two underwhelming drinks If I had to recommend this restaurant I would say do a Togo order. Let me start by saying the food was not bad. The service was a joke. It took over 20 minutes after ordering a glass of wine to get it at the table. It is not rocket science to unscrew a bottle and pour it then carry it five steps to the table. However, I suppose if the bartender is too busy taking shots with women sitting at the bar I guess it could take awhile to do your actual job. The food order was also screwed up, the waiter said he would check with the kitchen to fix the missing items and just never came back. By the time he did the kitchen was closed and he pretended that he had already told us that. WOW this place was delicious! Food was light and healthy. I had the Missy miso salad (recommended by our waiter) and it was mouth watering! Not a basic salad at all, chicken was moist and well seasoned. Veggies were extremely fresh and well prepared. I asked for a sample of the pickled cucumbers and pickled carrots and they brought out a large portion that made a great addition to my salad. The salad was a great size, very filling and had plenty of greens, for people that actually like salads! Had the dressing on the side and enjoyed that it was fresh, light and zingy. Hubby had the Shiso salmon and enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed mine. Salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection. The dish was seasoned very well. High quality ingredients! Excellent! Hands down BEST sushi in Savannah. I would even say as good if not better than many sushi places in Dallas, TX. Sushi is very fresh and sushi rolls creative and tasty. We had the Rainbow and the Spicy Hamachi. Loved that the sauce was on the side and not drizzled on top like in typical sushi restaurants. We also had the tuna poke bowl. I've never had a poke bowl and thought it was like a deconstructed sushi roll. The rice was to die for and the veggies very fresh and added a nice crunch to the dish. The star of the dish, tuna, was fresh and lightly tossed in spicy Mayo and was so delicious that I'm still thinking about it and want MORE!!!! Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. I first ordered a tarzi cocktail (comes with bale Vietnamese tea) along with the albacore sushi roll (10 pieces) and both were very good. Great start to cleanse the pallet. For the main dish I ordered the lemongrass bowl with pork belly and rice. It was very delicious and definitely a sizable portion, not what I expected. The proportions of meat, rice, vegetables and other ingredient were just right. You will definitely be full after. I was thinking about ordering more sushi before, but glad I didn't. I would also like to note that their music is amazing. They were playing some of my favorite songs from the 2019 Coachella lineup. My family ordered take out from coco & moss, we have eaten their before and enjoyed it much. We arrived to pick the food up 45 minutes after ordering. After anouther thirty minutes of standing in the door, they asked to confirm our order, and told us it was coming out soon. After anouther 30 minutes of standing in the door, I asked how much longer. The waitress brushed by me while saying the seated customers were their priority. By the time we got home, close 2 hours after initial order, i cant say i felt like i was eating anything more impressive than a McDonald hamburger, it was mushy flat rice bowl with over sweated canned fruit. read more

We had sushi and edamame here. It's such a cute and quaint little restaurant. The style in this restaurant would be great for any "foodie". Our plates had the most chic little pictures on them. I will say Coco & Moss does have some of the best fish in Savannah, however, they have no clue what a handroll is????? It really baffles me... I've been eating sushi for 22 years and have never encountered a sushi place that doesn't know what a handroll is. I ordered 5 different handrolls (as they have it labeled on their menu) and when I went to pick up my order I looked inside and there were 5 rolls all cut up. After 30 minutes and still no service , we decided to leave. We had not even left the door , when they immediately picked our menus.. as we looked at yelp , to see where we would go for dinner.. another customer walked off for the same reason. I wish I could give this place a stronger rating. The ambiance is lovely and the food was fine, but we had such an unpleasant experience with waitstaff that I still have a bad taste in my mouth a week after our visit. We were a large group and had made a reservation several months in advance. We were running a little late, but called ahead to let them know that we were still on our way and would arrive shortly. By the time we got there (10 minutes after our scheduled reservation), our table was gone. Seng was very short with us and it was only through a combination of persistence and good timing that we were still able to snag tables for our party. She would have had no problem turning us away and single-handedly discouraged me from returning to C&M. read more
