Worst experience ever! I went in to do a mani and pedi and it's been the worst job ever. To start off the lady who was doing my mani hurt me alot she made one of my fingers bleed because how hard she was pushing my cuticles and I told her that it hurted and that it was bleeding a little but did not understand me. A bit frustrating, then as I'm putting my hands into the UV light my fingers are burning and nail technician proceeds to tell me that I need to put my hand in and I tell her that it's stingy if that's normal again I don't think she understood what I was saying. My fingers hurt because of how rough she was. I pray to God that I don't get an infection or something because she cut me on two my fingers. And the shellac looks horrible, it looks like bloobs on my nails. The pedi was okay not the best. So disappointed. Never going back. I really don't know how this place has some many good reviews. I had to put on Band-Aids because my fingers hurt even to wash my hands it stings so bad. read more

I received a gift certificate here as a birthday gift - and it ended up being the best pedicure I've ever received. The "Winter Pedicure" (mine done well by Nini!) is only $35 and pulls out all the stops - stone massage, paraffin wax, and color. The manicure (only $15) also includes paraffin - and Chang did mine at the same time as the pedicure. All of this happens in the massage chair, which was a great treat. In addition to a great mani/pedi, the folks here were really friendly. Not just "friendly 'cause they have to," - but genuinely friendly to the people they were serving. I would say that it depends on who is doing your nails. It's always clean and the people are very nice, but sometimes they cut corners when they are busy to get people in and out. I will said my nails always look FABULOUS!!!! read more

I have been to La Bella 2 times in 3 weeks. Customer service is impeccable! They always have a smile on their face and the salon is spotless. Both times I have gone, I have gotten a mani/pedi and they do your nails while you are getting your feet done, I feel so spoiled. Today I went to get shellac on my hands and the guy who started my nails didn't know I had chosen the metallic polish so he completed my nails the normal way. CeCe, the owner, came over and took over and redid my nails. As I was leaving they said goodbye and used my name. I was lied to and I have always made my appts with Sophia since she is the BEST. They did not have the decency to call and tell me Sophia was home sick when I came for my 4:30 appt. They had all day to call me and then come to find out she had been sick the day before as well so they had two days to let me know. I was in two weeks ago and Sophia and I looked at the schedule and I saw my name on for Thursday at 4:30. So when I got there and was ticked they hadn't called to tell me Sophia was home sick I asked why they didn't call to tell me they said "you didn't have an appt" and were looking at the book (same one I saw my name on two weeks ago and had confirmed the date/time with Sophia. I even called when I was on my way, stuck in traffic to say I would be 5 mins. late and they did not have the decency to say Sophia was gone. HELLO, if I schedule only with one operator then that should give you a clue that I only want her. The fact they lied and said I had no appt. was what got me. I made the appt a month ago and confirmed it (even saw it was written down) two weeks ago. No integrity then no business from me. Sorry Sophia, I know you are full of integrity but unfortunately you work for a business that is not. Its about customer service not just making a buck! read more

I go to this nail salon for the convenience factor: It is close to my work. I have a favorite technician, Sophia, to go to because she usually does a great job, actually talks to me and I don't get the feeling that she talks about me in Vietnamese to her coworkers, as I have experienced with other technicians AT THIS SALON and other salons as well. It's a nice salon but the customer service from other employees is lacking (lack of communication or no conversation AT ALL) and the owner is a little too hyper, making it hard to relax. This time around, my visit started off well until the shellac polish was being taken off my nails. She used a large nail file and kept scraping my cuticles, which, as you can imagine, was painful. She rubbed acetone on my nails and cuticles several times which is usually not a big deal except my cuticles were rubbed raw by the nail file, so the acetone added a nice BURNING sensation to my "relaxing" visit. I have had shellac polish removed before at this salon and did not experience this discomfort before. The colors I chose were not favored by Sophia as she explained they didn't work well with my skin tone, so that was appreciated. She chose a similar color that worked better for my pale skin. The color does not cover well as I can see under the sparkle layer that the undercoat could have used another coat. After this visit I'm not sure i will return. I generally don't return to a nail salon after experiencing pain on behalf of the technician's carelessness. How do you not realize you're scraping a person's cuticles?! I've been dealing with stinging, raw, swollen cuticles all day. I tried to sooth them with lotion, but that only added to the stinging. I guess I'll just have to wait for my skin to repair itself. read more

So I came here back in Jan 28th, 2015 because my co-worker said she loves the quality of the shellac in this establishment. I had them do Seahawk nails for me and they did the most amazing job that I could possibly ask for! The art work they did was very top notch and there was a guy in there not sure if he was a manager or not but he was very friendly and very enthusiastic about the quality of the shellac and their work. The nails did cost me quite a bit and then I tipped 20% due to the amazing job they did but it certainly was worth it since the game was that up coming Sunday. (Even though they lost, so disappointed but there is always next year.. ;) ) Good job La Bella Nails! read more

Best nail spa/salon I've personally ever been to. Clean facility, courteous staff who work hard to ensure a pleasant experience, and a great atmosphere. My one and only criticism is that the menu for pedicures was slightly confusing and I didn't understand the pricing because of how it is printed. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! This nail salon is the worst experience ever! I paid $55 for a full set with gel and it looks like my nails already want to come off. While I was getting the nails done I was looking at my left hand while the girl was putting acrylic on my right hand and I noticed there wasn't acrylic on some of my nails on my left hand. When I went to go tell her she made a face and put acrylic properly on my nails. After I had told her that comment she was cutting my skin with her tools and hurting me. It got so bad to the point where I pulled my hand cause it hurt. She then grabbed my hand and kept working on my nails and didn't even apologize. She was so upset I asked her to put more acrylic on some of my nails, I wouldn't have had to do that if she would've done her job right the first time. Waste of my time and money. Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. If I could do 0 stars I would've!! They were done in less than 15 minutes. As they were filing my toe nails down they completed filed and shaved my actual toes which hurt. Didn't even do a good massage on legs during pedicure. Unreasonably priced for classic pedicure! $27 for a classic pedicure but you get way less things done than at other salons, such as V Nails! Way worse than other nails salons! I do not reccomend this salon. My gels started chipping and peeling less than a week after getting them done. Prior to getting gels, when I was only doing a regular manicure, the polish would peel right off in just a couple of days. I also witnessed a lady put a thinner in a nail polish that was really thick, to thin it out. Maybe that's why they peel? It's either that or the base coat/ top coat that they are using. They also cut my cuticle too far down and made me bleed. They do not file nails evenly either.I won't be back. read more

I've gone here a few times now and I like that it has a point system and that it's walking distance to my house but that's about it. The quality of the actual pedicure is pretty poor. Started chipping the next day and you can feel how thin the paint color is on your nails. I like the pampering here and location to me but for a quality pedicure you should go somewhere else. read more

After researching for a decent place to get my nails done for military ball, I settled on this place. It had really good reviews from what I could see. I went in early for my appointment. I was getting a mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax. In the past, it has only ever taken about an hour to get these services done, but it somehow took almost 2 hours at La Bella Nail Spa. If the work done was decent, I could justify the extra time and cost spent, but the work was sloppy at best. My nails were all filed at different angles and the nail polish was applied over most of my cuticles. The polish was applied too fast and it just wouldn't cure. I eventually had to leave and was late to my next appointment. I went straight from the nail salon to the hair salon and had a chip in my nail within 2 hours of sitting around doing nothing. By the time we got to the event, my nails looked like they had been done a week prior. My pedicure was the best part of my services and even that was done poorly. My feet are still rough. By far, the worst mani/pedi I have ever received. As for my eyebrow wax, where do I start? I was told to lay down and she just started doing it. It was rushed and I ended up with wax in my lashes and my eye lid. It also ended up in my hair and my hairstylist had to spend 5 minutes picking it out of my hair before beginning my up-do. I took my daughter wish me to get her nails done as well. They did her nails as soon as we walked in, so she ended up sitting there for about 90 minutes. She did great, considering she's 4. She loved her nails, but after getting a chance to really look at them, that was done poorly as well. Bottom line, if I would have had time before the event, I would have been back to have them fix them. Biggest waste of money. I could have done a better job myself, in half the time. And I will be redoing them, even though they were just done yesterday! read more

This is a brand new business in the Stadium District, where we do not have ANY nail salons. The remodel is gorgeous, the pedicure salon (7 fancy leather chairs, blown glass light fixtures!) has lots of natural light with a view of the port area. The owner is super friendly and excited about his new family-operated business. Definitely not your average strip mall nail joint (even if the prices are)! Terrible. Just terrible. If I could give it 0 stars I would. My pedicure lasted a total of 20 minutes and I didn't enjoy one moment of it. The chairs were hard as a rock, the nail tech was way too rough while cutting toe nails & cut nearly half of the skin around my toes off...my fathers nail was cut way too short... nearly half of his toenail was cut off, nail tech only did 1 coat of nail polish so it is completely sheer, the foot massage lasted a total of 30 seconds, I still have calluses on my heels, and we also had to purchase flip flops to wear out for an extra $5. I will not be returning & do not recommend this place to anyone. Worst pedicure of life. I am flabbergasted. If you're looking for a great place for a pedicure, I highly suggest Vnails. read more

La Bella is more expensive than most but same overall quality as the majority. I have gone 5 times in the last three months and more last year. The reason I first started going there years ago because it felt better than most salons. But since last year it feels a little more hurried and little less relaxing . The owner runs around frantic and each time feels more rushed than last. Every time I get a 80$ gel mani-pedi (tipping 25% because of the time Tiffany spends detailing) and the last time I went the color started chipping after 4 days because the glitter was too bumpy and shellac was too thick. I am easy; just fix it and will be a happy camper. I called the owner to let him know and ask if they could change it to something different that was simpler than before. He said " Come in we will take care of you." When I arrived for my appointment I wait 15mins. When I sit down the station is dirty and there is a pervious towel from the last person. Then the wife sits down with me while still eating and she keeps telling me that my nails are pretty. My nails are chipped and I paid extra for glitter details; my nails are pretty in color but their bumpy and catch on everything. She does not offer to fix it. She just starts taking off color and walks away. Then I get a second woman who is pleasant and changes my color well. I leave being charged a full color change when I was told I would be taken care of and that he was giving me a discount. The services was rushed and it's is not a enjoyable atmosphere when the owner runs around micro managing while hanging over your shoulder speaking a different language about you not talking to you. For being voted best nail salon I was hoping for different environment than other salons. It's average at best. read more

Actually I never do this, reviews, but I have to tell about my experience at La Bella. First off, the customer service was terrible. I was in a wonderful mood, excited for my nails to be painted because it had been a long time since a professional has done them. When I walked in the door and they asked if they could help me and I told them what I wanted they all looked at me with unhappy faces and started talking to one another in non-english and then finally told me to have a seat. I was only getting an $8 nail paint which I had been quoted on the phone thirty minutes earlier would cover polish removal, file and painting of my natural nails. When it came to the filing part, she was going to bypass it and just paint my nails which were still dyed yellow from the red paint I had previously on because since this was a low cost job, I guess it just wasn't important. She got a little bit of attitude with me and told me it would be $3 more for filing. I then explained what had been quoted to me on the phone and she proceeded to file them briefly. By then the wonderful mood I had been in had depleted and I just wanted to get out of there. I had a french manicure done and from afar my nails look good but up close they look terrible. She took no pride in her work. I understand it was a low price job but I would have gone back one day to get a pedicure and probly my nails painted again. I don't know if they treated me this way because they thought I was young (I am 32 but look young for my age) or if it's because it was less than ten dollars but none of that should have made any difference, they are a business and should be respectful to their customers regardless. And because of this experience, I will never go to them again and if anyone asks I will tell them the truth on my experience. read more

Up until about a year ago, I'd never really been one to regularly care for/about my nails. After going to La Bella for a few months, I now wax obsessive when it comes to getting my nails done. This place is absolutely professional, super clean and hygienic, with friendly staff. I mean, they did T Swifts nails when she came to the Tacoma dome, so you know they must be good! It's usually busy in there, pretty much any day of the week, so I recommend making a reservation if you have the time. That being said, if I forget to call ahead I'm usually seen within about 10 minutes of my arrival. While I love their pedicures and hand treatments, my go to service is definitely the shellac! It lasts two to three weeks before it shows any signs of wear. I've worn it through a high adventure trips hiking, rafting and ziplining and it still looked like I had gotten it done the day before. If you can, book with Martina, she is simply amazing with shellac. She makes fun designs if you are into that, and will pretty much replicate any pinterest pic you bring in for her to do. This place is definitely one of my favorite go to pampering spots! read more

I booked this place for my bridesmaids and I to get pampered the day before my wedding. I scheduled it for 10:00am and was told I would get a good deal, $25 for manis and pedis. When we got there they had no idea and wouldn't give it to us. They put us in there private room because I had six girls with me. They did my acrylic nails while doing my toes, I felt like they were rushing us out. Sure enough 30 minutes into our nails they started setting up a table for another bridal party and rushed us out of there. I used to go here a couple years ago because it had a reputation for cleanliness and looked like it was more relaxing than other walk in type nail salons. My first few times here were great and I did not have any complaints- I even took my mom a couple times and we both enjoyed it. To correct one review I saw-I do believe I have seen an autoclave there-they maybe moved it but I used to see them get tools out of it near one of the windows. Anyhow as time passed and this place became busy and more successful, the qaulity really went down. I feel like now the goal is to get people in and out as FAST as they can, which really if I am getting the hot stone or any of the treatments is not my goal (not very relaxing having up to 4 women work on you, one at each hand/foot to try and finish up as quickly as possible). I had a few times where this always happened, and it was not even croweded...why would I want to pay for something like this when it is not even relaxing anymore in the slightest and I feel like I am in an assembly line ? Also I took my sister once and they ended up cutting into her toe, it bled, and she had to ask for that nail to get re-painted..there was not even an apology about the bloody toe! In regards to the quality of the nails, it has been off and on (sometimes I got great mani/pedi, others not so much-pretty hit or miss). Now I go all the way to Seattle (whenever I visit my sister) to a different salon that is cheaper, only has 1 person work on you, and they spend a lot of time on you (even giving extra long massages). Over-the-phone reservations can be difficult to understand. Suggest that owners hire a receptionist part time eventually. Beautiful nails for the price, especially the pedicures. Stylish salon and friendly manicurists. Suggest that manicurists ask if customer wants a more natural manicure which involves pushing cuticles back instead of trimming all around the nail. Friendly, timely staff. Manager bubbles around constantly rather than leaving the staff to do their work. He actually thinks he is being helpful. A woman wants some serenity and quiet in a salon, not a chattering man manager always interrupting the services. I love this place! I've gotten shellac manicures here every other week for about two months or so, with the exception of two times (both times I regretted not driving to La Bella). My shellac has lasted two weeks each time. Every time I've been in, the staff were all kind and friendly. They are quick but very good! After two bad experiences recently with other salons, I will without question be going to La Bella, even if it is out of the way!!!
