Since Bandera is a bit of a drive from San Antonio, I decided to make a little day trip out of it. I came across this café and immediately thought it was such a cute spot. Parking was a little tricky, with limited spaces available right in front, but it wasn't a major issue. When I walked in, I was greeted right away by two friendly baristas. I asked for a recommendation and ended up ordering one of their favorites--the Honey Badger. It was delicious and definitely a solid choice. What stood out most to me wasn't even the coffee--it was the atmosphere. The shop felt warm, welcoming, and full of community. There were families and friends catching up, and there was even a dedicated area where kids could play while everyone relaxed. The coffee shop sits above the restaurant below, giving it a cozy, tucked-away feel. After getting my drink, I settled into one of the couches and ended up playing my Nintendo Switch for a few hours. It was one of those rare coffee shops where you feel comfortable lingering without feeling rushed. Overall, if I find myself back in Bandera, I would absolutely stop by again for a coffee and maybe try one of their snacks next time. If you're looking for a cozy place to relax, work, or catch up with friends, Cowgirl Coffee is worth checking out.

We were greeted by the same friendly employee when I visited the prior week, and she gave us each a stamp punch card - after so many you get a freebie coffee. FYI they also serve smoothies, not posted yet, and they can make them dairy free! My friend and I shared a Rueben sandwich and chicken salad croissant. Great flavors, but for me the Rueben shined! Lots of flavor. $1 more. My decaf latte with oat milk ($2 extra) and sugar free Belgian cookie syrup was nice. The price for the oat milk was steep, I don't think I've ever paid that much extra. I may skip it next time and go for the caffeine free teas. I ordered a hippie bar and honey glazed pecans to go. I really enjoyed the hippie bar- peanut butter, gluten free oats, chia, seeds, and dried cranberries. Lots of seating inside. There's a conference room- free of charge for ministry meetings and a mic area up front. The owner stopped by our table and greeted us, I just love supporting this local fam owned business. The coffee counter is located inside FarmHaus, so it feels more like part of a boutique store than a standalone coffee shop. The coffee area itself is quite small and with the Saturday morning rush it felt reaaaaally tight inside. I ordered an iced matcha along with a spinach feta pastry and both were delicious. Hands down, this was the best matcha I had in Fredericksburg!! There were seven of us, and since indoor seating is very limited we grabbed everything to go and enjoyed it while walking. I'm taking one star off for the service. During our visit, the staff didn't make much eye contact and seemed uninterested in answering questions which made the interactions feel really unwelcoming. Maybe they were having an off morning or feeling overwhelmed... That said, the quality of the drinks and food was excellent, and I'd still recommend stopping by for the matcha alone!

The sweetness, the nuttiness, the light spices of nutmeg with it's gooey center. I forget that when you order a croissant that isn't just a plain one, they have that sticky filling in the middle, & it's usually not to my liking. But this actually stole the show. I didn't want it to end. The cappuccino was so delicious. The vanilla flavor was airy, the espresso tucked in beautifully with the heavy cream, I was so upset when I finished the last drop.
