My fiancee and I decided we wanted to get some photos taken after our engagement but we were unsure when exactly we are going to use our pictures. We are also unsure for what we were going to use our photos but we wanted some nonetheless. So I contacted Lisa. One of the many things that is great about Coconut Dolly is we didn't have to have a game plan and know what excatly we wanted to do with our photos. Lisa is incredible. My 3 years son was running away when we told him the photographer had arrived at the beach, the wind was blowing and it was a bit cold....but she magically got our 2 year old daughter and my goofy son to cooperate and smile! She took beautiful shots of all of us together, alone, in pairs, playing, climbing and traditional group shots. We had 128 shots in the end and more than 30 I would print and hang on the wall. I had purchased a YouSwoop for a 1-hr session with Coconut Dolly last year. Since then, I got engaged and decided to use Coconute Dolly for our engagement photos. What a great surprise and treat! Lisa was SO sweet, fun, and friendly. She made us feel so comfortable and we really enjoyed our time with her. We just received our photos - both in black and white and color. They are absolutely AMAZING! I have gotten so many complements on the pictures. Also, we included my dog, Fifi, in a few of the pictures. Lisa is always such a pleasure to work with, we have worked with her two times now and have been so happy with how our photos have turned out! She is extremely skilled as a photographer and was so patient with our daughter during the sessions. Despite our two year old being a bit uncomfortable at first we never felt pressured or that she was becoming impatient with us. Lisa was amazing! I purchased a youswoop gift certificate in anticipation of my daughter being born. We had to reschedule multiple times due to illnesses and Lisa was so accommodating. We ended up doing the photos in a different location because Lisa was going to be near there earlier in the day and it worked out so much better than the original location we had chosen! Lisa worked so hard to get our little one to smile and came up with so many amazing shots with beautiful backgrounds. We've been told that the family photo we liked the best looks so good it looks like it came with the frame! We've been working with Lisa for over 3 years now (5+ photo shoots) and I'm always amazed at her professionalism, energy, humor with the kids, and ability to capture amazing moments amidst the chaos that children bring to photo shoots. :) Lisa always brings a very positive attitude and starts the session by confirming what I want to accomplish. The sessions are always fun (even with infants/ toddlers) and she has creative ideas that capture amazing looks in the kids. She also has a very unique ability to capture emotion - which has led to some stunning photos. After the photo session, Lisa gives me a CD with all of the photos - which is mine to keep and print. Lisa was so great to work with! She recently took pictures of my husband and me with our dog in an outdoor location. She was laid back and we instantly felt comfortable with her. She was very enthusiastic during the photo shoot and went the extra mile by lying on the ground and playing with our dog's toys and treats. Coconut Dolly is absolutely amazing! I purchased a youswoop certificate for their services to shoot my 1 yr old son's first year picture. The session was a simple hour, but perfect for our son's attention span! The photos turned out flawless and Lisa was amazing in grabbing his attention throughout the entire hour. Its crazy what you'll do to get a smile from a baby near nap time. Lisa took our engagement photos in September at the University of Chicago campus and she was an absolute delight to work with! We spent an hour with her and she managed to shoot over 120 photos, including ones with our two dogs, and we even squeezed in an outfit change. We first met Lisa after looking for a wedding photographer and decided to use her to shoot our engagement photos as a "test" run :) She was so kind and professional and worked with us on figuring out exactly what we wanted to do for our shoot ( we had no idea lol) We ended up going by the beach and getting some of the most romantic pictures ever! My husband was nervous about not being natural in front of the camera, but Lisa made it so easy. She is seriously a ninja behind the lens. She makes you feel like she isn't even there (which is a good thing!) but gave great direction when needed. My husband and i got married Aug 18th,2013 and knew we had to have Lisa as our Wedding Photographer. After the amazing experience during our engagement shoot, and the fact that we feel as if we have been life long friends, we knew there was no other option.
