The shop had a great selection of both souvenir items that were a step up from the run-of-the-mill souvenir shop, and also lots of beachwear for a little bit more refined palette. Prices were on target, and the staff was friendly. They have curbside parking and are open late. read more

Absolutely adorable coastal gear available in this cutie pie of a shop!!!! I couldn't help myself and splurged on some items I had had HAD to have and I don't feel guilty at all! Ok maybe for a minute but I'm over it now. Hats clothing pouches and jewelry are high end quality. The sales staff are helpful friendly and they actually SMILE! I felt welcomed here. Be ready to drop some cash though. It's not cheap. However they do have some sale items outside. Although I wouldn't be able to shop here often I can say we all are worth it to treat ourselves every so often. I purchased a hat and a shoulder draped pouch. Really cute stuff read more

Well, I didn't expect to find one of my favorite clothing stores today but I did. It's right next to an ice cream shop. They had 2 racks of perfectly summery beachy delightful shirts and tunics for sale for $10!! Attractive and lightweight. Exotic prints (and perky bright colors too.) Like Japanese pottery or Indonesian. Or even Norwegian. You couldn't get such a deal anywhere else!! $10 each. I bought 2 shirts. I am in love!! Gorgeous tunics. Love this clothing store. We ALWAYS visit this store when we are in town. I hope after the two hurricanes that devastated Siesta Key this place will open and have business as usual. No experience had because of strict mask policy despite CDC guidelines to the contrary. Staff also went out of their way with rudeness to ensure we would never step foot in their establishment again. The politics of fear win again at the cost of a sale. I also will personally thank the other kind vendor in Siesta Key that allowed us to spend almost $500 on tshirts without being accousted with such a ridiculous policy. Went to this store and wore my mask. It was so hot and muggy that an "employee" had to step outside for air. I had lowered my mask below my nose since there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE and it was incredibly muggy and suffocating in the store. I had an arm full of clothes I was going to buy until I was told to "pull my mask over my nose" by a masked employee. The store was DEAD for a Friday afternoon during "season" and most of the merchandise was heavily discounted. Needless to say, I didn't buy a thing and will NEVER again including bringing any one visiting from out of state or recommending this place to anyone. Sometimes one must be smart enough to ASSESS individual situations and be smart business owners to realize what is potentially detrimental to your business. read more

We visit Siesta Key each year and could not be more happy with the friendliness of the staff and its owner of 40 years, John Cannon. They carry a wide and excellent selection of beachwear at reasonable prices. It is most definitely the best clothing store on the Key! Note! In contrast to many reviews which are critical of the precautionary measures the establishment has implemented in order to protect its customers and workers during the pandemic, I am pleased that the wearing of masks in their store is required as Florida has been notorious for ignoring science and common sense precautions against this deadly disease, which, as of this writing, has killed close to 900,000 of our fellow countrymen. read more

I would prefer 0 star. I went to this store 4/13/2021 to shop for clothing. Both employees too busy to say hello or ask if I needed assistance. One was dry mopping the floor and another on his phone. I promptly left and found clothes elsewhere. read more

I was out to lunch with a friend and asked if we could stop here. I felt so bad because the store was so warm and we had to wear masks. My friend was have difficulty breathing and uncovered her nose. The masked manager who just sent her employee outside to take a break because she was overheated, told my friend to cover her nose while in the store at all times. Mind you we were the only ones in this store during peak season and everything was heavily discounted. Needless to say nether of us will be back there again. I went there to shop and after pulling in the shop owner or worker came out yelling at me that I couldn't park there unless I was shopping there. I tried to explain that that was my intention but she kept yelling at me to read the sign and wouldn't drop her attitude or harshness. I have shopped there over the years but NEVER again. read more

Coconuts is an absolute gem! I absolutely love this shop. The selection is always superb and unique. Coconuts have such beautiful clothes and accessories that I want them all. Was so happy to find a masks required sign on the door. All associates were super friendly and had adorable t-shirts and sweatshirts to bring home from our trip (including the much coveted Simply Southern brand for my daughter). Entered the store after eating next door, eager to buy a few shirts for friends and family. Everything was discounted and it is clear the business is struggling, for now obvious reasons. After walking inside we were reprimanded by the excessively rude employees for not wearing masks (no longer required or recommended by CDC guidelines). I have had few experiences that were worse than this one. The employees clearly don't care to help customers and would rather assert their false sense of authority rather than run the business. I will never return and strongly urge any intelligent shoppers to go elsewhere. Vote with your money to shut down this reprehensible establishment. If I could give zero stars I would. The poor 2.5 star rating on Google is generous at best. Read other reviews and you'll quickly see this is what anti-American brainwashing looks like. read more

We've shopped here for 15 years, on every vacation. Showed up at 5:45 as the women that work there were bringing the racks in and I asked when they closed? They said 6:00 pm but clearly didn't want us to come in and actually were blocking the door claiming it was actually 5:50 so I asked if they wanted to go home? She said no, there were other shoppers in the store so she guessed she would let us in to look around. Seriously? Don't do me any favours - there are lots of other places to spend our money . I own a store and wouldn't dream of turning customers away nor treating them so shoddily. read more

Just went to this store to get a souvenir for my trip. They have a nice selection of items. As I went to pay though the lady working stopped me mid-store and pointed to my ice cream in a cup saying "ohhh that makes me nervous." I reassured her I was on my way to pay. She literally snatched my purchase out of my hand and I assume she thought I was going to throw my money across the store and the counter to her since I wasn't allowed to take another step. Mind you, I am 30 years not- not 6 yrs old and they had no signs saying "please no food or drink." I told her I wasn't buying my purchases anymore since she just snatched it from my hand and treated me as if I was a 6 yr dripping ice cream everywhere. Would not go back. read more

Both times we were immediately looked up and down by the sales clerk and then followed around the entire store like we were intending on stealing something. It's extremely offensive.
