They don't communicate with residents are even each other. They are constantly late for appointments if they even show up at all, they don't respond to phone calls, emails or requests. I was never informed of all the great programs, employment opportunities and classes they brag about online. If you are going to live in one of their units I would definitely suggest saving all of your rent receipts because they're constantly losing rent checks or not entering it into the computer. I was overcharged rent on three separate occasions and never credited back the amount I was owed in the computer so they tried to say that I owed rent from years prior, even when having a rent receipt from their office signed by them. They charge everyone for a mandatory "carpet cleaning" fee when they never clean the carpets or replace them. They constantly have you put different dates on paperwork when signing and they never get it right the first time. A lot of the management is very rude especially Janet rainwater. I've heard her tell people that they can go back to "living in their car" or "can be homeless again". They know that people living in housing hope units have nowhere else to go and they take advantage of that fact and abuse it. There is a rare few people working for them that do care but for the most part they're incompetent and to say management is a shit show is a great understatement.

They went above and beyond to help my family. I got certificates that were helpful with everyday life challenges, as a low income mother, among other helpful classes. Housing Hope staff helped me with focusing on what I needed to, for my future. They help me through some of my darkest days; I will never forget those who helped me.

After making a lifelong connection to the rescue when I relocated, I became a volunteer myself over the years. The rescue is fully run and operated by dedicated professionals, animal rescuers, and animal lovers. I am so grateful to have made this rescue and all of the people who make it part of my own adopted family here in Washington. I now "fospice" foster for some of the rescues unadoptables. To keep the shelter open for adoptable pets, and really get behind "no ferret turned away", and remain a no-kill shelter, a lot of the shelter's more complicated kiddos are hanging out with so many of our volunteers, enjoying the final years of life in a home. This is truly a wonderful organization that centers the animals first, always.

There are excellent shelters but this is clean, well-maintained and has their Veterinarian in the same complex. They have a vet tech on-site and carefully check out potential adopters. I am pleased to support this caring and professional shelter. And yes, I've visited both locations and consistently impressed by the clean, safe environment. This shelter provides great value for your donation. It is worthy of your support.

The gospel singing and the quartet, were great and the human sing were powerful. We enjoyed the music tremendously. Now for the bad... They passed around a collection plate at about the end of the first hour. That's fine, but then we were told it wasn't good enough and about 30 min later they announced a second collection. Quite frankly I find that rude and insulting. People of this church need to understand that acts such as this is the reason that the church is getting smaller in America. They need to know that showing Gods love to people is the only way to reach out to your community. That relationships are the answer to growing the kingdom of God. Money helps, but Jesus never sent the basket around again after getting the 5 loaves and 2 fishes saying that it won't do, he needed more. If we are to be Christs representatives on this earth, we should act the same way and have faith that God will make miracles happen when we just step out and believe that He who created the universe out of nothing can also use us in a miraculous way.

It was a…read moregreat opportunity to learn more about social service and working with children, which is exactly what I was looking for. The 2-star rating that I'm giving them might be a bit unfair, but I feel that the program was very poorly run. I would liken my experience as a VoA volunteer to that of a cable TV customer - I had a great experience with them at the beginning but toward the end (especially when I was about to quit the program), I was ready to pay a decent amount of money to get out of it. The initial training that they provided was fun, but not very useful. It didn't set a very realistic expectation of the experience. The program coordinators were nice, but trying to get support or advice out of them was a moot cause - I guess I can't really blame them because they probably don't have any authority or influence to fix the situation. They need to properly train their staff and seriously revamp their process framework - relying on good intentions will only get them so far.

She's not returned emails, yet she will answer my soon-to-be-ex husband's emails. She's called him to set up a time/date for mediation and NOTHING for me. I am the one who is bringing mediation upon my soon-to-be-ex husband! She sent paperwork to him, and none to me. I had to get her info from my soon-to-be-ex husband and sent her an email with my email address in the text in CAPS. Next day when she sent me the paperwork she was dumbfounded as to why I didn't get the paperwork before (either didn't send to me or had the wrong email address, not a hard to reach conclusion). Now she's called my soon-to-be-ex husband asking when a good time would be for him to come in for mediation, but no phone call to me. I sent her an email yesterday and I have no reply. I have sent an email to another employee who was initially helping me asking that I talk with a manager. I am very unhappy with the service. Please use a different mediation service even if it cost more. This is garbage.
