Ick. The general feel here is not good. There is too loud music coming from a speaker that isn't suited for it. Everything seems noisy and clangey inside the store. This was a half hour ago They are rude and inconsiderate. Very much out of line... the way they treated a 60 yr old man with an upset stomach who had to use the restroom. He wasn't in there 5 minutes they were banging on the door asking if he was ok. That he was taking too long, what's he supposed to do? Jump up while in the middle of leaving a deposit? Wtf. He told them several times he's using the bathroom. I was outside in my car waiting , He called me so I went in to see what was happening... of course none of them have anything to say but I see them talking to each other. . Im not stupid I know they're talking about us. They had their nerve to call the cops.... This is how they treat their customers? I shop there all the time. They immediately look at anyone who uses the bathroom,,,judging and assuming that drug use is going on.... it's ridiculous and insulting. $39 for a serving dish at Goodwill that is Ludacris. These items are donated to price them so high for people who can't afford to buy brand new is obscene. You could probably get a brand new one for cheaper. I won't even go into what the rest of them cost. No wonder nobody can afford to live anymore even or thrift stores are overpriced. I even asked the manager what was up and if they could be lowered and the answer I got was no because someone looked the dish up and it was a collectible. They had pink ticket items for 1.99 on Monday and we found a few things that we loved which happened to have pink tags! In a very strange location since it is downtown Everett. Once you get inside it's even more strange. As soon as my family and I walked in there were two ladies with a dog, literally blocking the entrance. The toy section was small and the store itself was extremely cramped. There was also a dirty old air conditioning thing blowing air. When I was looking at the home things they had a lady came busting out of the employees only door and started fast waking down all the aisles I was in. At one point I attempted to go to the next aisle next to the one I was already in but all of a sudden she came speed walking out like road runner and basically charged at my family and I. Didn't even apologize or acknowledge what she did. I didn't get her name obviously since we ended up just leaving this dump. But she was tall, had short curly brown hair, was wearing black clothing, looked about 40 and had a blank expression on her face. I know I sound like a Karen right now but if you saw how fast she came out of the aisle and didn't let us pass you probably would've been a bit upset too. She would NOT give you any space whatsoever. As someone who used to work for goodwill I'm appalled at the conditions and other employees here. The staff here all seem dead inside and depressed. The customers are also very unusual. There weren't many of them there but the ones who were looked either homeless or on drugs. I'm never coming back here again. I'd mind as well take the time to drive my ass all the way to freaking Bellevue to the goodwill there since it's at least better than this nightmare of a location. read more

Meh. Not my favorite Goodwill store and not one that I'd go out of my way for, but if you happen to be in Everett, it could be worth a quick stop. Most Seattle Goodwills are fairly nice, clean, and well maintained, but this one just kind of depresses me. It's smelly in there, and while it's tidy enough, the store just feels kind of tired and dirty. It's quite small and doesn't have a very large selection, and all of the jewelry (even cheap costume junk) is in locked glass cases, so it doesn't feel very customer-friendly. However, they have the colored tag 50% discounts and you can score some bargains if you're thorough (I got a cashmere sweater for $4). The staff are friendly and polite, so no complaints there. If I only had time for one thrift store stop in Everett, though, I'd pick the SW Everett Mall Way location over this downtown one. read more

This store can be SMELLED when you are in a car and a block away. Totally serious that this store can be smelled when you are not even on the street yet. I have sworn off ALL stores like this because I am tired of buying wonderful clothes that I cannot wear because they stink of the Goodwill stench even after washing with white vinegar SEVEN TIMES. I wished I billed Goodwill by the hour for all the furniture I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and eventually threw away because it stunk like Goodwill no matter what. And I feel ashamed of all the water I wasted trying to get the Goodwill stench out of one silk shirt. It would have been less expensive to buy it brand new in a store. This store is cramped and creepy and the wait to try on clothes is long. You need better ventilation and need to stop spraying whatever you are spraying. It is toxic. The Everett mall way store is less creepy, has more parking and less vagrants. The clothes still have that Goodwill stench sometimes though, so, from now on I will be buying brand new. Pro: the staff is very kind. Cons: the homeless community. Story: I found an item of clothing for my son. I waited in line to purchase. The man in front of me was obviously homeless and he had went to the bathroom in his pants. There is no way ANYONE with a nose in that store could not smell him. He wanted the bathroom key. There was someone occupying the bathroom. He had attitude but the cashier was trying to assist other customers whilst being attentive to the man's bathroom needs (kinda too late at this point). She told him the bathroom was currently being used but if he wanted to hang back a second, she would gladly give him the restroom key upon the next availability. I'm pregnant, so maybe my sense of smell is heightened, but OMG I COULD NOT WAIT IN LINE NEXT TO THIS MAN ANOTHER SECOND. I just wanted to purchase my single item and run out the door. Even my 18 mo/o son was beginning to scrunch up his nose and whine a bit. I know it's not the facility or the employees working there's fault that this particular man had used his pants as a waste receptacle. But! To prevent the spread of germs and loss of customers due to the outrageous smell and hazardous conditions this man was flaunting, I would have turned him away. No shoes no shirt no service is a well known guideline in most businesses, but how about no toilet trained, no service. It was awful. It actually will prevent me from going to that store's location again... I'll gladly drive to South Everett to (try and) avoid this type of situation. I can't imagine he didn't contaminate every inch of that store and it's products whilst "shopping". I watched many potential customers turn up their nose and walk out upon entering, not to mention the (at least) half a dozen customers that were already there drop their items and run for the hills. You don't have to be rude to confront an adult, you can simply say, "sir I can't have you in this store because you legit have shit running down your leg and you freakin stink." Or something like that lol. It's not bigotry or self-entitled judgement; it's safety. 10 paying customers that understand the importance of personal hygiene vs one stinky ass homeless dude. First of all: The staff is superb. Very friendly and efficient. But: Don't bother coming here if you wish to shop for women's clothes. They CRAM so many garments on those awful hangers that it is literally impossible to browse any rack. I love the selection when I do feel like spending two hours untangling and relocating wedged-in items in order to see the clothing selections, especially dresses and tank tops. I've stopped shopping here for clothing because it's way too frustrating to deal with the extremely shoddily-hung overcrammed garment racks. (The crappy in-house music doesn't help.) read more

I drove down to the Goodwill, to search for some pants. My first impression was that there was no way to get a parking space in the parking lot. The store is right in downtown Everett, and the lot is small. I found out later that Wednesday is senior discount day, and that was why it was so busy. I parked up Hoyt St. a bit, in front of the title company, and walked back, after circling the block once. When I walked in, I was surprised at how big the inside of the store was. For some reason it looked smaller on the outside. It was also brightly lit, and fairly clean. Even more importantly, it was packed with stuff. The prices were pretty normal thrift store range, and they carried a wide range of goods. I managed to find some pants, some kitchen goods, and more for less than $10. The dressing rooms are locked, so you need a staff member to let you in, but they were very nice. In all, it was a fun thrifting trip, and I will definitely be going back. read more

This little thrift store looks small from the outside, but is packed with stuff on the inside. There is a parking lot to the side of the building with a few space, but there is easy street parking as well. The inside is nice and clean, with lots of clothes in each section. There were plenty of workers around to help if you had questions, and everyone was very nice. They have a good kitchen wares section, with really good prices on stuff. I visited the Hoyt Avenue location and thought it would be good based on Yelp reviews. I found nice jeans ($5.99 and $7.99 each) which is not that bad but it was poorly lit. I found two used books which were a plus. We did not know which cash register was open. No sign. No "register closed." Nice cashiers though. You have to ask a cashier to unlock the restroom for you which is a HUGE minus for me. Do we look like we are thieves?!!! I don't think so. It is a pet peeve of mine when people treat their adult customers as though we are four years old and/or when people presume our guilt instead of presume our innocence. I prefer the Everett Mall Way location much better. The aisles at the Everett Mall Way location may be smaller but it is well lighted and I do not have to ask someone to use the restroom. I am not four years old NOR am I a thief. For this location on Hoyt I am no snob but I will not be returning. I love to shop for most of my clothes at thrift stores but not at this one. I've never been in to this location but I utilized it for a drop-off over the weekend. I called to ask where their drop-off location was, as it was not clearly marked. They friendly man on the other line said he would meet me out back (hubba, hubba) and gladly took the 6-8 bags of fat clothes I was dropping off. I'm not a hater I'm just saying I don't fit in them any longer so don't get all angry fellow big body hotties or big booty cuties ;) They don't take large donations (furniture) or don't often since it's on the small size so call ahead as you may need to go to a different location. read more

Holds a lot for a smaller store. Some things like puzzles and dolls are not always priced. Unmarked dolls are like $1.29 and unmarked puzzles are .99. So, that makes those toys the best-priced in town. read more

I've been in a lot of goodwills. I used to live near the shoreline location which is HUGE and AWESOME so when I moved near this one, I was underwhelmed. It is a pretty tiny location in comparison, so the selection is not that great. However it makes up for that by being remarkably well organized... for a goodwill. I like that goodwill has a calender of when their specials are and that I can take my used goods here instead of braving the wilds of craigslist or tossing out perfectly usable items. Yes, this is a thrift store. But it's a large chain store with lots of locations. This one is a complete dump, the staff is generally rude and always seem inconvenienced when asked for help. They don't have the best selection and its small, and parking is terrible. Good for random finds but not the best location. Better to head to the one by Everett mall. read more

You know slightly worn leather not super big like a computer back and not small like a purse. I knew the only place I would be able to get a bag like this would be a thrift store or some type of secondhand store. After a week of searching I walked in this Goodwill. Upon entering this store I was amazed at the cleanliness of the store compared to other thrift stores. The store is very spacious and all departments are clearly marked for easily finding things in the store.
