We have always dealt with Tom and Vic both are very compassionate men. But I am not sure who the woman is that works the front office. I saw her when we brought our Baby in there. But only talked to Tom. Picking up our Baby was an very bad experience dealing with this woman. We have the Ashes and Paw print of our Baby Girl but no fur. I asked the woman for the Fur and she told me that it wasn't on the work order. When it clearly was written there. The woman was very aggressively moving things around on shelves looking for the fur, but didn't find it. I asked her if she could get Tom for me, and she made a comment under her breath, " It's just a bag of fur you have her ashes and pawprint" . I said "excuse me", and she had a very cold look on her face. She preceded to tell me " she having a bad day and if she finds a bag of fur laying around she'll call, and walked away and left me by myself in the front lobby. I gathered my sweet Baby's ashes pawprint and paperwork myself and left. I have been a loyal customer of Kozy Acres, but I'm sorry this is a horrible experience with this woman who seems to bring her personal life to work with her and that is not a good work ethic. I want to specifically thank the staff who helped me with everything from dropping off Bananas, to picking up the ashes. Sabrina helped with arrangements and was very caring and professional throughout every detail. She explained all of the services, pricing, and timeline for everything before I could even ask. I had requested Charlie for the cremation. Although I didn't witness the cremation, I know he took exceptional care of my python just from the brief conversation I had with him when I made the arrangements. I requested to chat with him and he took time out of his day to do just that. I also spoke with Ashley who handled processing the cremated remains. She too took time out of her day to talk with me. She was also very professional and listened to my requests without any hesitation. She followed my requests without issue. I didn't want to sound too picky, but Ashley assured me my requests would be fulfilled. Next I want to thank Mel who took the clay print of Bananas' tail. I'm sure it's difficult taking a print of a flimsy tail, but she did it. Also thank you to Caitlin who made the ceramic print. She has done ceramic prints for my pets in the past and she truly has the artistic touch. And of course thank you to Natalie and Tiffany who greeted me warmly and with compassion when I first stepped into the office to drop off Bananas and when I arrived days later to pick up her cremated remains. Dr Rebala found some lumps on our dog that our previous vet had not seen (even though he just had an exam last week with other vet) and a little growth under his nose I had not noticed nor had my other vet noticed (sigh). She is ultra present with your pet. She recommended a tooth cleaning, and to keep an eye on 3 different growths for any changes. She did not push for other treatments, but suggested them. She was open to their raw food (Raw Bistro) diet and even recommended bovine collagen as an (unproven) option for our other older dog's collapsed trachea, which I promptly ordered from Dr. Karen Becker's site. She talked to us re their regular preventive visits to a chiropractor, Dr. Erin O'Connor, that we do every 6 weeks, and asked for that doctor's info in case a client wants that work I feel like it's so unusual to have a vet who is both an expert, does her job thoroughly, but is also open to my ideas that I've gleaned over the decades from being a client of Dr. Karen Becker and Dr. Vivian Grant -- both drs who lean into a more natural diet/protocal. When a person has curiosity along with expertise of their own, it makes me feel like I can trust them with my pet, and form a partnership for my dog's best life. She ordered a blood panel with a heart worm test & fecal and had the techs trim his toes. The price was around 30-40% less than my other vet. hmmmm....wow! She's a local treasure, for sure.

To top it all off, I found their prices to be very reasonable, especially considering the level of care and attention they provide.
