My older one is turning ten years old and it has been an emotional year with injuries related to aging. She had dental surgery a couple weeks ago, and then a tear in her knee shortly after from normal wear-and-tear. I feel as though Dr Testolin saved her life with the latest diagnosis related to her hind knee as if both knees went out, we would be faced with difficult decisions around quality of life and we're nowhere near ready for that. We have another surgery coming up to repair the knee mechanics and hoping for a postive outcome; she's a very active dog and we would love to continue this amazing journey, especially now that she's big sister to her hooman baby brother. There's no words to describe the comfort they provide for our pets and thank you doesn't seem like enough. We have faced very high-stress situations this year, especially with a newborn but knowing they're around is a major relief. On one occasion the diagnosis didn't fit the symptoms and turned out the diagnosis was wrong. On our next visit, she asked to talk to a manager and told her the situation and just said she wasn't happy. The manager didn't come in, but the Dr who had the incorrect diagnosis. Didn't ask for any money back, didn't make a big deal. Just said what she felt was incorrect and why. Well, she must have taken it personal as when she called again to make an appointment, she was told because of the complaint, they would no longer see her pup. Boy, talk about great customer service!! I'll be sure and spread the word if you voice your concerns they won't see you again.

The Veterinarian's are all wonderful, the staff however has many issues. I called to make an appt today for my dog who was very ill and dying. after making an appt I received a call from Dr Healy saying they were not going to see my dying pet because I had expressed I was unhappy with their service At our last visit. In November we had to put another dog down. My husband went alone and they suggested doing all sorts of tests that amounted to over $600. while he did authorize them, the dog had been diagnosed with a tumor and only had a few months to live. They did all the testing and knew of her condtion. I truly believe they took advantage of him during a very stressful time. If the clinic felt we were no longer a good fit for their practice wouldn't it have been done prior to this event. No compassion for the dog. I had called to speak with Dr Healy and was told she would be in around 1:30 and she would call me back. I have yet to hear from her. Totally unprofessional and no compassion for our situation.

My complaint is not about the veterinary care she received. It is about the customer service, communication, and leadership conduct I experienced. On Sunday, August 9, I called regarding my puppy's post-operative medication. The receptionist returned my call and explained that she was catching up on calls. Although she did not directly tell me that I should feel lucky she had returned my call, the way the conversation was communicated left me with that impression. I felt dismissed rather than as though my concerns were being taken seriously. By Thursday, August 13, I had not received the assistance I needed, so I called again and left a voicemail. I did not receive a return call. Because my puppy needed her medication, I drove to the clinic. When I asked for the office manager's name so I could address my concerns appropriately, I was not provided that information. Instead, I was told that I could be removed from the building and that the police could be called. After receiving the medication, I went to my vehicle and began documenting my experience. The receptionist then came outside and continued the conversation. The surgeon and another staff member also came outside and stood near my vehicle. The receptionist apologized several times, but the apologies were repeatedly accompanied by explanations about why she believed my behavior had caused her reaction. I left feeling that my concerns had not been genuinely addressed. I understand that customer-facing employees deal with difficult situations. However, that does not excuse treating a client in a dismissive or confrontational manner. I later learned that the receptionist is also the president of the organization's board. That leadership role makes the situation particularly concerning to me because it raises questions about how complaints involving her would be independently reviewed.
