The Doctor ( Dr M Rebala) has such a passion for her work.. she loves cats and actually hugged my kitty.. all the assistants & staff are very personable.. she is also VERY knowledgeable & thoroughly examines your pet... ... she does love dogs too by the way! The one thing that stands out to me is, I really appreciate overall how my pet was handled. He was a handful! I like how it was a coordinated team effort. One minor thing I did notice is that my pet was not greeted. Perhaps this is even intentional as it could rile them up. The treatment options were explained in a clear concise manner. I like that the heart worm treatment now includes tic and flea treatment in the same pill. I was not aware if this was previously an option. A few days prior to my appointment, I was asked if I could change my time to a later appointment to accommodate a surgery. I understand and complied, but just be aware that this could happen. read more

I brought my old lady dog here for an annual exam. Dr. Rebala was friendly and really worked well with my nervous girl. She not only noticed things that other vets have never mentioned, but didn't try to load me up with not necessarily needed services. Extremely fair pricing. Dr. Rebala is very knowledgeable and brought up potential solutions to a chronic issue we're dealing with that I've never thought of. You can tell she really loves her patients. Had to put my 15 years old dog to sleep due to old age with kidney failure. After research and calling many places, we have found sunshine pet hospital through Dupage County Animal Service. Their euthanasia & cremation services are half of the price of any other places. Dr. Rebala and her staff were incredibly compassionate and supportive during the process. Dr. Rebala is so skilled, kind, and professional! Our puppy has been coming here since she was 10 weeks old and Dr. Rebala provided all her shots as well as performed her spay surgery. Visited a couple of other vets because my cat was vomiting and not eating for two weeks, but couldn't find a solution to our problem. Right away, the overall environment and atmosphere at Sunshine is so different from the other hospitals we visited. All of the employees were so kind, patient and willing to answer the countless questions we had. It turned out our cat had to get surgery as she'd swallowed a small bundle of string. Dr. Rebala informed us of the risk of such a surgery and we were noticeably stressed, but the staff were incredibly kind and helped us through the entire process. The surgery ended up being a success and our cat has been healing well since then. Dr. Rebala has been with us every step of the way since we brought our cat in, and even to now, checking in occasionally to see how our cat is doing, and continuing to answer all of our questions. The experience we had here was wonderful, and they helped ease a very stressful situation. Sunshine will definitely be our go-to animal hospital from now on, and we will even be bringing our second cat for his checkups. I had to take in my Bella Friskies for an emergency dental exam as my primary vet of whom I had for years was unavailable. I found Sunshine Vet by contacting Dupage Animal Shelter (I adopted Dollie the Dog there) and they recommended Sunshine. Bella is an older Malt/Tzu hybrid and she had the early stages of a tooth infection. The staff at Sunshine made Bella comfortable, despite that she is very attached to her family and doesn't want to be bothered much. The place is personable, clean, and transparent with prices and services, providing optimal and the recommended care for your fur kids. Whatever concerns and questions that you may have, the staff answers with profound information and clearance so that you know what to do and how to care for your creatures post-vet exams. Ms. Rebala is just the best! She is very thorough and caring. We brought our cat Rufus in and she did everything possible to get to the root issue. Rufus even warmed up to her, which is a great sign. He doesn't normally do that with strangers! Highly recommended. We love our vet. read more

We took our two dogs to Sunshine Pet Hospital for the first time on August 8th. Everyone in the office is wonderful and so friendly, from Cheryl at the front desk, Anna the vet tech and Dr. Rebala. They made us feel as though we have been coming to their office for years and we were all friends. Our dogs loved all of them and Dr. Rebala was great. Dr Rebala was very personable, professional and explained everything thoroughly and genuinely a very nice person. When it came time to check out, the prices were extremely reasonable. When I thought they couldn't get any better, I was pleasantly surprised when the results of all their test were emailed today, less than 24 hours after our visit. Got referred to this place by my aunt who is a Groomer. So happy I did. After weeks of dealing with other vets for my dogs injury it is great to have somebody that you could talk to and trust that they have your pets best interest at heart. I have literally been through hell with bad vets that charged a fortune. She was not only fairly priced but goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is OK.
