Nobody wants to deal with death, but death is inevitable. My chihuahua that I've had since she was a little 3 month old nugget passed away yesterday morning. I googled pet cremation and found cherished pets. I called and they were able to get us in the same day. Laura's son was very pleasant. He welcomed us in, sat down and filled out paperwork and gave us time to say our final goodbyes. Received my dogs ashes today along with the clay & ink print. When our beloved house rabbit died, Cherished Pets Remembered were able to receive him the same day. They let us say our final tearful goodbyes to him before we left. We have lost 2 cherished pets in the last few years. The experience we had with Cherished Pets was beyond anything that I expected or have ever had. Completely different from our last 2. The compassion and understanding to our situation. The caring for my daughter who was grieving. They have a wonderful room you can say your last good byes in and an amazing selection of urns and so many other options. Later that day, I received a text with a memorial page that they had made. So we could share our memories together. HOW AMAZING! I had questions about my aging dog and they helped to connect me to a vet who comes to my home. It was beyond worth the 27 minute drive from Chicago. I would recommend them to everyone. Unfortunately, our cat of 12 years passed away on September 6 around 3:00am. The sadness in our house was exacerbated by the animal shelter (I won't say which one) being extremely dismissive when I tried to call to ask for assistance. Considering the cat passed in the middle of the night, we had no idea what to do, until my daughter, being as resourceful as she is, found Cherished Pets Remembered and imagine our surprise at someone being there about 5:30 or so in the morning. Mark Kaminski was the gentleman who spoke with my daughter, and as nice as he was to her on the phone, I thought that we we went there at 7:30am, he'd be as dismissive as the animal shelter was. Let me tell you I am so glad I was wrong!!! When we got there, Mark was VERY comforting and understanding, especially to my daughter. As my daughter is now 21, he guided her through the process and helped her pick a heart-shaped urn(for lack of a better term) for our pet's cremains. The whole vibe was one of a business that cared, and were extremely kind to us in the process. I would like to personally thank Mark Kaminski, and if anyone is considering cremating their deceased pet, I would definitely recommend Cherished Pets Remembered. We had to unfortunately put our beloved Max down because he was suffering so much from cancer. My husband dealt with Tim and he made an absolute horrible day easier. My husband brought our dog in about noon and Tim got back in touch later in the afternoon and we had our max back home with us within hours. It is a true comfort to have him home with us. We were heartbroken when our miniature schnauzer died at only three years old. We had just moved north from Florida and didn't quite know what to do. I knew that I wanted to cremate her, but where? I called Cherished Pets Remembered and spoke with Laura. She assured me that Bette would be cremated alone and the price included everything. I brought Bette to Cherished Pets, and they couldn't have been more sweet and understanding. Bette was placed on a pillow on a table in a very nice room.
