We used to love Code Poke, so close to home and frequented it often! However, the owner was incredibly RUDE to me this evening! I asked for more carrots, there was literally 5 carrot sticks in my bowl and he said "No.", I only get one pass through or he would charge us extra! What the heck? I am obsessed with Poke and have been to dozens of locations at this point. Compared to the spots downtown like poke city and poke world, Code Poke doesn't compete, unfortunately. Other locations like the ones I mentioned just seem to give heartier portions and aren't as stingy... when you're paying almost $15 for a fast meal then it is appreciated when they load up your bowl and don't charge for extra scoops of crab salad, like Code Poke does. Also, I personally prefer toppings options at other restaurants compared to this place. This place will stay in business as long as they are one of the only poke places in the area, otherwise I see other places taking their customers because they won't be able to match the value. read more

When did Highlands Ranch become so trendy? First Shake Shack and now poke? Watch out RiNo, we got a new foodie town in Colorado (but probably not). I love these chipotle-style poke places because it's fun, healthy, filling, and you can really make it your own. These places have been popping up all over Denver and I'm all for it. It's hard to mess up poke as long as the fish is fresh. Code:Poke was just okay in the spectrum of Denver poke places. The fish was good (I had 2 scoops of salmon). Nothing makes them stand out against the other Poke places though. Poke City has their bright yellow chairs and fake grass floor, Poke Concept has marinated fish. I've been spoiled by all the different and new options. The biggest thing that'd prevent me from coming back was they didn't have my go to sauce, the spicy aioli. They had wasabi aioli which I inadvertently ordered and that's not for the faint hearted. Lucky thing I was recovering from a cold and it helped clear out my nose. The restaurant is located in the same plaza and Corner Backery and Indulge. There's usually space in the shared parking lots. read more

Did a poke bowl and wife got a beef teriyaki bowl and boba. She was raving about the boba tea before we left the parking lot - well-made, the "right" way. The bowls were good and plentiful. We have another good poke place in south Denver! Typical to others poke joints in the area and has good serving sizes. I only rated them 4 out of 5 stars due to the execution of my poke bowl. Usually your ingredients are strategically placed in the bowl where Code Poke they were just thrown in together. However, my biggest complaint is that they did not give me any chopsticks in the to go bag forcing me to eat as a savage with a fork;). Absolutely one of the best Poke places I have ever been too. I love the unique glass noodles option instead of rice. The choice of topping is far better than any other Poke place. Poke is mediocre. Spicy tuna is finely ground. Not good at all, not what Poke tuna or spicy tuna roll inspired, more like spicy tuna canned dog food. Poke should not smell fishy. Period. The salmon, spicy tuna and tuna were all fiishy. I can buy better sashimi tuna at HMART for $16/lb. The squid salad had liquid smoke in it I believe, it nearly ruined my entire bowl. Veggies in the bowl were good. Teriyaki chicken was great. 4 for teriyaki, 1 for poke. Net 2 (rounding down since poke sucks). If I lived within a few miles I would have returned it on the first couple of bites. If you have similar experience, please return vs eating. If this is the quality of the poke day in and day out, I do not get why anyone would even consider giving them a 5. Have yet to find good poke in Denver area. This is certainly NOT it. Don't go here for Poke. Mango was gross, inedible..don't offer mango if it's no good. Cilantro was full of the "hairs" from the stems. I thought there was legit hairs in my bowl but it was part of the cilantro, still super gross. You should just be putting the leaves in there, not the stems & "hairs".
