The appetizers alone are worth the visit, do not skip the spicy tuna crispy rice cakes (perfectly balanced with just the right kick), the edamame (simple but elevated), and the hamachi, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. I am still dreaming about that spicy tuna crispy rice cakes!!! The cocktail menu deserves its own spotlight. The rosé spritz was light, refreshing, and dangerously easy to sip, while the margaritas were perfectly crafted and bright, balanced, not overly sweet. Cocktail presentation was A+! The Tajin rim on the margs...next level. For the main course, the salmon was nothing short of perfection, cooked flawlessly and paired with the not-to-be-missed cilantro lime rice, which honestly deserves its own fan club. Absolute chef's kiss. And let's talk sushi, because wow. The mango tango roll was vibrant and flavorful, the torched salmon roll melted in your mouth, and the atomic roll brought just the right amount of heat. Each roll was as beautiful as it was delicious!! Our only regret? Not saving room for dessert. Apparently, the bread pudding is the talk of the town, and after everything else we experienced, we have zero doubt it's as incredible as everyone says. I've been to the Smokin Fins in Littleton a couple times, so this was my first visit to the HR location and had a good meal. My sister and myself both ordered Cobb salads and they were excellent. We stopped in for a late lunch to an empty restaurant and quick service. We came for restaurant week and we were not disappointed. We were shown to our table and in a matter of minutes FIN (yes that IS his name) greeted us and took our order. FIN is very knowledgeable and has a very warm demeanor. Coming here for Restaurant Week is something we always do. The diverse menu is always amazing. The tastes are very different and all delicious. Another nice happy hour date with a good friend. My wife and friend enjoyed a nice house Chardonnay and a nice Sauvignon Blanc. I tried a couple of beers, a juicy IPA and a nitro stout. Decent selection of craft beers but not great and unfortunately not entirely to my narrow taste. The gals ordered HH Wagyu Sliders which were fine. I love nothing more than when a restaurant pleasantly surprises me. We went to Smokin' Fins on an impromptu date night and were amazed by the dishes. For a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was not busy but had a few families in all enjoying their meals. It presents the perfect vibes for a date night or a girls night out with it's low lighting and chic décor. On a nice day they also have a spacious outside area to eat. Our server was kind, attentive, knowledgeable and honest - just like I like them and helped us guide the menu with ease. We ordered the lobster-stuffed avocado, carne asada taco, spicy tuna roll (without sriracha) and my wife got the noodle bowl. Lobster Stuffed Avocado - 10/10 Our server gave us a heads up that this dish packed a little spice, and it did, but it was deliciously balanced. We had never seen red masago and thought it complemented the dish in a beautiful way. We could have easily eaten two, but shared the one. The dish had a balance of crunch, cold, and warm flavors. Carne Asada Tacos 8/10 These tacos were really good and held a decent amount of flavor. They were filling and the meat was marinated very well. They also had a beautiful presentation. I also wish that I had stuck to our more Asian leaning meal choices, because the tacos made me not want the sushi as much. Spicy Tuna Roll - 8/10 This sushi was a fresh roll and overall had good flavor. I have had better sushi, but I also recognize that I was not at a sushi restaurant.   Noodle Bowl - 6.5/10 I had a bit of the broth from this bowl, and it was good, but the other flavors and components in the bowl were meh - again we do recognize that there are better places for this and for the restaurant it was a yummy dish.   Overall, I would give this restaurant a 9/10, and we will definitely be back. read more

By browsing the menu and checking out the food that was whizzing by my seat I can see that this restaurant serves sushi rolls, burgers, sliders, tacos, pizza, fish and chips and also Ciapino. Wow! Not bad for the first time visiting.. our server was the best! He made everything feel welcoming of course being the only Black people in the restaurant it wasn't even an ounce of feeling of not belonging. Our food was really great and the sushi was fresh and our drinks were worth their value. It was quite busy so it took a minute for a meal but no errors because our food came out hot and fresh.... The atmosphere a bit noisy but that's to be expected at a bar and grill.. I'd recommend this place for a date night or a group of friends going out and you have family in town looking for a spot to eat with good food and great service. The Cioppino is excellent and the "killer bread" that comes with it is killer. The vibe is good and so is the staff. The clam chowder is good (not as good as Blue Island though). Stopped by last night for a quick meal with my husband and 1 year old. The service was friendly and quick, but not rushed, despite the fact that they were going to be closing in 20 minutes. Tried the Baja fish tacos which were tasty - found the accompanying rice to be a little underwhelming/bland though. Fish and chips were good and the fries were crispy and delicious. Didn't care for the slaw - wasn't a fan of the cranberries in there. The sesame crusted ahi tuna was good - nicely balanced with the rice cake and the tanginess from the sauce and the crunchy greens. Grabbed a couple of beers that hit the spot. Will be back to spend more time in next time, preferably when they're not cleaning up/getting ready to leave. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I went here last night with a group, sat on the patio, great vibe, it was busy! Hostess was very welcoming, food was great, fair pricing with good portions, no complaints there! It was the service, and service alone that ruined the entire evening. Our server Dorothy seemed polite at first but a bit agitated as it was busy and I can understand that. Our drinks took so long to get to the table (which we made no fuss about) but she so casually dropped them to us and volunteered the drama saying "Sorry about the wait, the bartenders don't like me and always do my ticket last". We uncomfortably chuckled and expressed to her how unfair and wrong that is. I honestly never knew this is a practiced behavior in restaurants and I genuinely felt bad (at the time). Then the mistake happened with food; we were brought an entirely wrong appetizer and when we brought it to her attention, we received an eye roll and a response that again was just shocking! She explained that she saw they messed up and when she told them about their mistake, they told her, "we are busy, send it, hopefully they won't notice and if they do, just let them keep it" she also so coldly and unconcerned, told us she'd comp it for us and did we want the original app we ordered? Almost as if she didn't have a care in the world to make it right. I responded with ok well I guess we'll just keep it then. She said "great" and walked away. I was absolutely speechless and honestly just thrown off. We did however expect she would take it upon herself to bring us the proper app but she did not. I realized then, given her nonchalant and dismissive attitude, that such unprofessionalism could not possibly be happening in every other department in such ways and it was her. Regardless if it was a busy Friday night, and yes mistakes may happen when overwhelmed with tables, there was zero accountability and no real effort to fix anything--just attitude. It's frustrating to spend money somewhere and be treated like an inconvenience. A night out with family and friends should be enjoyable, but this experience was anything but. Management seriously needs to address this kind of behavior. Based on how we were treated, I would not come back and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We dine out weekly and thought this would be added to our rotation! Not at all. Everything was wrong and service was just awful. Reminded me of a real life version of the movie "WAITING", except the movie was actually funny and should not happen in real life in a nice establishment. Our go-to restaurant is Smokin Fins. We enjoy all the delicious food, especially the tacos, the Cobb salads, the lime cilantro rice, the sushi! Happy Hour also offers some good deals on drinks and food. The service has always been spot on, timely and pleasant, and helpful. The ambiance is up -town-casual, which is our personal style. Recently there have been some changes. Happy Hour offerings on food are not as plentiful, the menu is more difficult to decipher in terms of print, and at least one of their mainstays is almost inedible: the key lime pie. We ordered it after lunch, looking forward to their usual generous and delicious slice of pie! What arrived was a flattened cookie with an unpleasant tasting coating of key lime icing. $10.00! We spoke to the manager, Jimmy, who couldn't have been more accommodating by taking it off our bill and apologizing for the "new" style "pie"! Those of you who are tempted for a piece of this pie, don't bother! But, continue to give Smokin' Fins your business for their other delicious food! read more

Somehow this review got attached to the wrong business originally so I am correcting that error now. Second time here. Not really much better than the first time. Service was weird where food was brought out with the waitress leaning all of the plates against her body. Isn't that some health : food violation? Even if it isn't, the food was not that great any way. Can't imagine how all of these other reviews reflect this place to be so positive? Thought this place would have some really special seafood. Was told by our server that fish gets flown in two times a week. What happens on the other 5 days? Would think 2-3 day old seafood wouldn't be so good? Like the community tables idea, but the place was so noisy I am not sure we would ever go back. It was weird. No music that we could hear, but just a lot of people talking/noise. First of all, this place is always really nice. Today we got a happy hour deal on sushi and I was very pleased. My meal was okay but the best part always is the slayed Carmel brownie!!!!!!! My dad got the berry cobbler and I would give advice that they need to put that on a different plate cuz in the bowl everything didn't work. Exceptionally poor all around: starts with bad service. Our server failed to tell us specials, and didn't take our feedback on the food seriously enough - trust me, it was bad. My wife's halibut was laughably overcooked, tiny potion, and sat on a melange of undercooked veggies on a celery puree that looked like porridge. My $40 ribeye was overcooked, tough and chewy (bad supplier I presume) and was such a bland and sorry looking dish they should just remove it from the menu entirely. The floor manager was too busy watching MLB game to really see, or care, what's happening under his 'leadership'. Shame on me, the place is called Smokin Fish. They're certainly all smokin something there. Will not go back, and recommend to others to avoid wasting their money. It demonstrates an utter failure of social media that this place is rated 4.7 on Open Table - wish I could review on that app but I can't because I didn't reserve. Don't be misled by the offerings of sushi and poke bowls on the menu... this place isn't a Japanese sushi restaurant nor does it try to be. This establishment reminds me of those seafood restaurants by the beach that offer a variety of options including fish and chips, sushi, poke bowls, tacos, hamburgers and more. The staff we met were all friendly and attentive. The ambiance is laid back, casual dress with plenty of seating for small or larger groups. The menu has enough variety for everyone to find something they like, including younger kids. We tried some tacos along with some sushi/soup combos at our table. Everything tasted fresh and was well plated (see pictures). The steak in my tacos was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my surprise. My only knock would be on the spice levels. Personally I love foods with a solid kick, but we were told that the tacos were not spicy and it turned out that they had a noticeable kick which triggered some issues for someone at our table. The food at this restaurant is by far some of the best food I've ever had. The cedar plank salmon is absolutely to die for! You also can't go wrong the cheese curds for an appetizer. My husband brought home the Wagyu burger and the hot chick sandwich last night, both are just so good! I hadn't had either before. Also, even after making the trip home, their fries!!!! I've had so many different times here. Burgers, seafood, nachos, sushi and their cocktails and I don't know that I've ever had something I didn't like. Also, the service is good. I got takeaway from this establishment for my wife and myself two or three times in the early days of the pandemic, and we very much enjoyed the meals we had in the comfort of our own home during that strange period of time. As things opened up and we began to venture out more often, we sort of forgot about this place. We were out picking up some bird food and gardening supplies this past weekend and I decided to surprise her with lunch at this spot, and found it even better eating in than taking it home. We started with a lobster stuffed avocado, which was excellent and a reminder of upscale restaurants in Puerto Vallarta - most of them serve their own seafood stuffed avocado. For the main course, I had the Lemon Caper Mahi Mahi and my wife had the Paella de Veracruz, both of which were really fantastic! I had a margarita with grapefruit and habanero slices that was quite the spicy ticket. My wife had a gin concoction that she said reminded her of a cross between a Pimm's Cup and a French 75 that she found delicious. Our server Mike was very friendly, professional and courteous.
