I rarely leave negative reviews, but after paying $28,000 for a new roof, I feel obligated to share…read moremy experience with Magellan's Roofing. My biggest concern was that the company began tearing off my roof before obtaining the required city permit. I wasn't informed until after the roof had already been removed. When the city questioned my patio cover, I had to work directly with them to prove it was part of the home's original construction. The job site was also poorly managed. During demolition, the crew covered my jet ski with roofing debris and staples instead of simply asking me to move it. Communication was lacking throughout the project, and there was very little supervision. The crew also damaged my patio cover during demolition. The contractor claimed it was pre-existing due to dry rot, despite previous repairs and the city's only requirement being replacement of one small section. That section was left unfinished, and I was asked to pay a change order to have it painted, as well as another change order to repair the patio cover damage. For the premium price I paid, I expected professionalism, accountability, and quality customer service. Instead, I experienced permitting issues, property damage, poor communication, and repeated requests for additional charges. A friend recently asked me for a roofing recommendation. Had my experience been positive, Magellan's Roofing would have earned that referral. Instead, I recommended looking elsewhere
