I had a leak in my roof and Nick was recommended to me. He gave me a quote and had his crew out to fix it the following day. He was professional and made sure that I had his contact information in case of questions or concerns. The crew arrived when he said they would and completed the job, even replaced some of the tiles that were cracked outside of the leak area. Nick is like the guy next door. It is easy to like him, even after just one convo with him. I left a prior review praising his personality several months ago... He got me hooked up with Titan Energy out of Sacramento. Yes it was out of town but I was assured there were local installers to come do the work or fix anything needing fixing in the future. The first set of installers came from Riverside... they had some issues and had to come back. The second set came from out of town as well, NOT Riverside. It was sloppy at install, but I had no clue exactly how sloppy until recently. I had a few red flags that I ignored. Looking back on it I'm sure their sneaky way of dealing with the tax credit isn't entirely legal. I'm not entirely sure but I won't comment to much on it because at this point I don't know where I stand as far as taking legal action against this company. I recently had a family member come by my home, saw I got Solar, and wanted to check it out. He went up on my roof and was flabbergasted. There were holes that were sloppily patched with tar, the flashings were not installed correctly. Since then I also had an electrician tell me just by glancing that some sort of grounding wire is incorrect and I can easily have a fire in my home or someone up on the roof cleaning my panels can get injured. I would never have known this. I was a consumer looking for a product and I trusted the business that I went with as a lot of us do. How many of us go up on the roof and know what to look for after the fact? How many of us know to look at shingles or holes made? This particular company is not trustworthy. I am actively trying to get my solar array removed and I do not want to pay for it because going forward in a business relationship with this business for at least 10 to 20 years is ridiculous. People that have had panels installed by this company won't see any trouble for a few years which will include most likely roof leaks. I only happened to find out this soon because my family member came and just glanced at it to make sure it was done properly and it was not. I'm only posting this review so people reading it will know not to go with a company out of town and also do not let them do that little tax credit game with you and the installers hired by this company are incompetent. Nick, as a solar broker, you should rethink the companies you co-sign for. I will post some pictures for anyone wanting to screenshot them and compare them with arrays online or installs or ask other companies advice and I'm sure they will tell you the mistakes and the future consequences. read more
