I absolutely adored my first experience at Coffee & Blow Dry Bar in Doral! I followed my stylist, Giselle (@hairrbygiselle), from another salon - because she is just that damn good! Coffee and Blow Dry Bar started as a heat-only, styling bar, but recently started offering full service by a few stylists. So, I was in for a touch-up to my color and a cut. This location is in a small, strip mall, so there is parking - it just might be full depending on which time of day you are there. When I walked in, I was greeted quickly and offered a complimentary coffee - I opted for a pistachio latte. They had tons of flavor options - but no non-dairy milk option (which honestly was the only semi-negative part of my whole experience). I was also offered coffee on the way out, as well as water throughout my service. Giselle got started quickly - I knew I wanted a cut and a touch-up to my color, something brighter - but overall told her to do what she wanted. And, it turned out so so good! Giselle gets all the stars, honestly. I would be excited to try Coffee and Blow Dry Bar just for a blowout and style - but definitely know I will be back for full-service appointments. read more

I've been pretty regular lately and every visit has been great. I book appointments easily thru their online feature and usually take advantage of the first 8 AM appointment. I always arrive early and the ladies are ready and on time with appointments. I usually go with whoever is available and they always seem to do a wonderful job. Wish there were more of these around town specifically in Miramar but for now this one is close to work; so it's perfect. read more

Found this place online and loved how easy it was to schedule an appointment. I didn't know any of the stylists and used the first available option. I ended up being scheduled with Elizabeth and she was amazing! She lets you be quiet and relax or if you feel like talking she's very friendly. Hi, I'm an existing customer who had to stop by and give kudos to YANI at the Doral location because she truly exceeded my expectations. My hair is 3c curl pattern and super dense. I arrived at just before 11am on Wednesday this week to set up as I was going to take a zoom meeting while getting my hair done. For the first time in my life people, I was in and out of a chair in 30 minutes! Now, while I thought my wash and conditioning were both done super fast, I initially wanted to have more of the experience. Well, you don't always need that as long as the outcome is good. I've visited this location twice. The first time I got a humidity proof blow out that was totally fine, but no different from any other blow out. At the time felt like I was being charged extra for no added benefit. I let it go, however, and recently went back for a keratin treatment. I wouldn't normally get a keratin treatment at a blow out bar, but I was in a time crunch before I head on vacation, they had availability, and it seemed like they had extensive hair services and could handle it. First off, I was told my color would be stripped. This is also noted on their website. I've gotten my color treated hair keratin treated before, so I know it can affect the color, but this particular treatment took it to another level. My front pieces went from blonde to orange. Not a good look. But, to be fair, I was warned. More importantly, the keratin treatment just didn't work. My hair is still just as curly, only minimally smoother, and takes just as long to blow dry as it did before. It doesn't have any added shine or sleekness or look any different than it did before I walked into the salon (minus the terrible color). I had suspected something was off in their process - there was no hair wash at the outset and my hair was washed (or at least wet) prior to sealing in the keratin with the iron. The woman who did it was very nice, but told me it was her first time using this treatment, and she seemed to not know how to use this product (she had so many questions about it for the people around her). I can't help but wonder if that played a role. In any event, this was NOT worth the $300+ I paid. This place works for a simple blow dry, but I would stay away for more involved treatments. read more

I just left Coffee and Blow Dry Bar and had such an amazing experience from beginning to end. My appointment was with Giselle, who cut and styled my hair. Besides the fact that she did such an amazing job, she had the best personality and made me feel so comfortable. I usually go to a dry bar in Pinecrest, but I think I just found my new favorite place. Oh, and they treat you to a coffee when you first walk in. I got a PSL (hello! Yesterday was the first day of fall!) and it was so good! If you're looking for a new dry bar and you're in the Doral location, I highly recommend! I went for a typical blow out and iron work on a Monday evening. They are open 7 days a week and late which I thought would be perfect for me to go regularly while my daughter was at her guitar lessons. But of my 4 visits I was only impressed with one. My last visit was a waste. I had to go home and rewash my hair because it felt like the conditioner wasn't washed out completely. I notified them the following morning just to make the stylist aware and they offered me a complementary visit. I accepted but when I arrived to the appointment they said they didn't have anything scheduled. In my opinion, the blow dries are below average and over priced for the final results. read more

I had always wanted to try coffee and blow dry bar but I never either had the time or couldn't make it out to their bird road location so when they opened one in Doral I was so excited !! First let me say how cute they made the space ! The design is so adorable. The staff was super kind an attentive, my hair stylist Kelly was super nice and did an amazing job with my blow dry ! I got the package that included a coffee scrub and it made my hair smell amazing ! If you're looking for place to get your hair blow dried or even styled this is the place. Called on 3 separate occasions since moving a block away. All the 3 times have never been unsuccessful. Or they don't have enough hair dressers, they closed early one night, another occasions, I was advised to call in advance of one week. This was in person! This place is set up to take walk-ins, not just by appointments as I was rudely informed. It's a shame, because I would come here once or twice a week. Poor or misleading advertising! read more

Thankfully the Doral location is now live on Yelp, woohoo! Been coming to Coffee and Hair for a couple of years now and they are absolutely the best. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and asked if you'd like a coffee... uhhhhh, yes please! We all need a coffee pick me up after long days at work or when you're the first appointment of the day lol. They have a great selection. The vibe of both places is awesome however since the Doral location is the newer baby, they have a super cute work space for customers that need to work while they wait. They even added a neon sign #metime and you know that's going to be a "Do it for the gram" photo op. My favorite stylists are Grisel and Natalia. Sweet girls and do an amazinggggggg job with my beyond curly mane. At the moment they aren't doing manicures or pedicures at this location but I assume sometime in the future they might. Very affordable pricing and it's a flat rate for a wash, blow dry and styling with any hot tools. I highly recommend this spot. read more

I went for the first time to this location. Natalie was my stylist, she was friendly and very professional. I asked for a blowout that would last all night. I was going to an event outdoors and the humidity was going to be an issue. She layered my hair with the Living Proof products. It stayed straight and frizz free all night. I highly recommend her as a stylist at the salon. read more

I go to this salon at least once a month or sometimes more often and I am usually happy but on my last visit with a lady named Alejandra I asked for a blow dry and some loose curls only on the ends to give the hair some waves. She asked me if I wanted my hair to be flat ironed and I said absolutely not. I can obviously flat iron my hair at home, that's not why I go to a salon. She then proceeds to curl my ends with a flat iron that doubles as a curling iron, but completely flat ironed all of my hair as if I wasn't going to notice what she was doing. My hair was obviously very oily the next morning and did not look like it had been blow dried. I was very upset to have wasted time and money on the appointment when I explicitly told her no to flat iron my hair. read more

Disgusted by the service I received today. They must have someone new up front who lacks customer service. I texted that I was running late due to weather and having a 10 month old. She said it was fine. GPS said I'd arrive at 3:15, right at the cutoff, but I texted that the traffic was stopped and I arrived at 3:20. They could've easily told me I would have to rebook and I would've understood. Instead they took me, and all gossiped about me. When I went to pay, the new front desk girl is telling me how EVERYONE said how I always arrive late and it's a constant issue. I felt like I was a little girl getting reprimanded in a business that I give my money to. I come here easily once a week and every stylist there knows me. I've been coming since way before I was pregnant and I have extensions so it's a costlier service than others. I bring my stepdaughter here, tell friends about it, etc. but definitely no more. Not to mention, the front desk girl never offered me something to drink. She'd ask everyone around me and skip over me. Absolutely disgusting. I will never spend another $1 here and I will make sure nobody I know does either. There's been plenty of times that stylists are busy and I've had to wait and I'd never sit there and scold a stylist how they did to me, a paying customer. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Not to mention, my hair is still wet at the extensions so a terrible job was done at that. I am disgusted and appalled by my visit today. I would like a response from the owner. read more

I've had my eyes on this salon for a very long time because on Instagram they post really good blowouts. Today I decided to give them a try and I went for something simple " soft blowout". Usually I wear my hair straight and I wanted something subtle. The salon it's self looks nice and clean and the lady at the front was very attentive and sweet. The reason why I'm scoring a 2 for this review was because I was disappointed with how my hair turned out. The lady who was assigned to style my hair kept burning my scalp, my ears, and she would pin up my hair awkwardly. She would pull my head to the side instead of coming up to my hair and styling it like I've normally had it done at other salons. I didn't have the most relaxing experience with her. Also when my hair was finally done, the front was so frizzy and puffy. I hated it. I didn't feel pretty leaving that salon. I'm pretty much going home to re-style my hair myself. I pretty much paid them $40 to wash my hair and give me some water. I think I just had a bad experience with the stylist. I think her name was Tidia. She didn't treat me bad but I just didn't have luck with her skills with my hair. Hope this review helps someone. I just don't recommend this stylist. read more
