This place is definitely a gem. It's one of my favorite study spots on the treasure coast. From the cozy indoor seating, to the breezy and quaint courtyard area, there is plenty of room and fresh air to enjoy while relaxing or working. It's located right in downtown Stuart near the water. The prices are always reasonable, happy hour is great, and the staff is consistently friendly/accommodating. I like to order their hummus plate and iced chai latte which never disappoint. They also have milk substitutions and vegan options so that's a huge plus. Can't wait til they open back up again! read more

Even before walking in, the place is peaceful and charming! The atmosphere is very zen, and the service is excellent. It's perfect for a bite, and has a unique cafe-garden feel. We tried their specialty hummus, their soup of the moment, as well as the melted cheese with toasted ciabatta and chips, all warm and very tasty. I spend a few weeks in Stuart every year, so I want to preface with the fact that this rating is relative to other places in the area. If I were doing an absolute comp against coffee shops in San Fran or New York, it'd definitely be lower. I came here to do work the other day and I was not pleased to be charged $6 for a 16oz cold brew. Other than what I found to be an astoundingly steep price for a low quality cold brew, the atmosphere was just kitschy. I'm aware that that's the environment around here but still.... Okay holding back on that, otherwise the place seemed nice. There was a long list of food that was more reasonably priced than the coffee and they do have WiFi for patrons to use. I'd say come here in a pinch (and get, maybe it's really different at night. They do serve wine) but don't expect to get better or cheaper than Starbucks. read more

Tried to order an iced Mexican mocha but they were out of mocha. Instead I ordered an iced coffee but was charged for a cold brew. I figured maybe they only had cold brew so I went with it but then the next person to come in tried to order a cold brew and was told they only had iced coffee. $7.00 for an iced coffee that wasn't very good. I visited the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the quaint and cozy atmosphere. This is super cool place to hang out in the courtyard now that the weather is cooler. I really like the fact they do not use paper cups or plates. It truly reminds me of a "TRUE" coffee house as they all should be. Nice little place, great location I bet the outdoor patio is great when it's not raining. The Cappuccino was a bit bland. The person at the counter was nice but she had her purse and coffee on the little table next to the best seat in the coffee house. Usually this sort of thing wouldn't bother me but the other seats weren't great from a comfort point of view. If you're in the neighborhood might be worth a stop, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Coffee Bar Blue Door knows what they're doing. I'm not sure who does their roasting or if they roast their own, but their espresso is delicious. Was in the Stuart area for a week, and tried a few coffee places in the area. I really liked 3 Baristas, but honestly my favorite was Coffee Bar Blue Door. The shop is cute and the shady outdoor patio is gorgeous. The baked goods are homemade and just as good as the espresso. CBBD also serves wine & beer for later in the day. My only quibble was with the paper straw for my iced coffee, which is totally not CBBD's fault, I just despise paper straws. I get it, plastic straws wind up in the waste stream and are the worst - agreed. But this is the flippin' 21st century - are the paper straws we have now the best we can do? I may need to carry around a reusable silicone straw. OK lemme stop, my straw issues have nothing to do with, and distract from, the awesomeness that is Coffee Bar Blue Door. Go get it! read more

I've been there three times in the last two weeks: first for a bowl of soup at lunch (very flavorful), once for a Monday night movie where I had a draft IPA, and the third time in the evening for the live entertainment (country western singer). My new favorite coffee shop in Stuart. I come here on average 2-3 times weekly with my sister to work or just enjoy a glass of wine. The owner, William is super friendly and a genuinely nice person. You can also bring your dog (which is also great for non-owners and dog lovers like myself). I have even seen them give dogs treats if the owner gives the ok. I love that I can come here on most evenings when all the restaurants are closed and find a good size and chill crowd here. read more

Came for a second visit here but first time for the movie night of Across the Universe and I must say, I really love the atmosphere and energy of this place. I wish I had discovered it sooner too. The staff are friendly and so are the customers who dine here. They carry coffee, alcohol beverages, organic tea, organic almond milk and filtered mineral water. See what I mean? Everything shouts "Great!" about this place. It's small yet cozy and the courtyard is absolutely a beauty. Definitely a great place to meet up, hang out with friends, their food and beverage menus are not the least bit disappointing nor overpriced. My favorites are the Republic of Teas, their tomato & mozzarella salad, and chicken white bean soup. I am looking forward to next Monday's movie night, Mama Mia. Starts at 8, come and join us. I'm also looking forward to Trivia night on Tuesdays. This should be lovely. They do host private parties so be sure to call in, get the info, and make reservations. Let me start off by saying that I like sweet iced coffee. I like lots of sugar and syrup. This coffee was bitter and not very sweet. I'm sure to some it may be fabulous, but not me. To top it off the biristo made fun of me when I ordered an iced vanilla coffee, and I didn't understand when he said "how would you like it?" Iced and vanilla, how else? It's all good - the food, the decor, the coffee, the booze, the service, the charm of the place! I was visiting Stuart on July 4th and discovered this amazing place. I spent most of my day there! I started out going in the morning for breakfast and coffee, and we ended up going again after the fireworks for drinks. This is just the most charming place. The vegetarian breakfast sandwich was delicious, as was a raspberry bar that I ordered. We also had an espresso. My friend tried 2 different beers, and liked both of them. I had a very good iced mango green tea (I think that's what it was). This is a low-key, casual, relaxing place. The service is wonderful. What I really loved about the place was the charm and character of it. The decor is fun to look at - they have a lot of interesting things on the walls. The outdoor seating area is in a shady garden. There are plenty of tables and chairs out there. It's a nice space to just sit and relax. There is also indoor seating. Out of my 10 hours spent in Stuart, I would have to say that about half was spent here. I just loved it and can't wait to go back! read more

They have a menu but I wasnt too crazy about the items on there, wish they had like simple pastries like croissants, stuff like that but didnt find that, but the menu kinda is like those brunch menus. They really should take the word coffee out of their name. I ordered a flat white and the person literally googled how to make it in front of me and then made it wrong. I also ordered an affagato and they took out a store bought container of Breyers and put a tablespoon of ice cream in a latte cup and poured what appeared to be regular coffee in it. Pretty good cold brew here (their medium basically comes in a pint glass). It's a lot of roundabouts to get here from my grandmother's house, but I needed to catch up on some work and desperately needed a coffee to keep me going. I saw there were a lot of coffee bars in Stuart (a neighboring town), so I threw a dart and settled on Blue Door. It has a real rustic, small town vibe, as there's not a lot of space inside (they also have a bar where you can drink beer, which is definitely something I haven't seen before). They offer your typical standard coffee items. There's WiFi too. I also sat outside to make a phone call when the rain tapered off. All in all, I'd be back if I'm ever in the area. read more

Blue Door is a hidden gem. You can walk or drive right by it if your not paying attention. It's a beautiful coffee shop in an old building in downtown Stuart.
