What a cute little shop located in H-E-B!! We stopped along the way to get some snacks and since I hadn't had my morning coffee I decided to stop in and get a latte! It was great...gave me just the caffeine kick I needed! Also...it's always nice to have great customer service with your coffee as well!! Also, the name is pronounced Lew-ché

Mapped myself to Luce not realizing it was inside of HEB. Luce is more on the Pharmacy side if you are solely coming for a drink. Service was quick and standard. There are a few barstools if you choose to hang out but you have the hustle and bustle of the cash registers behind you.

Coffee and HEB is a thing!! This little shop is located up front close to the middle near the restrooms. Staff is helpful so ask for suggestions or more about what is on the menu. I got an iced coffee with a coconut flavor mix that was divine! Ask about please, it was very yummy! Happy Yelping!

I love that Luce Ave Coffee has opened locations inside of H-E-B stores! I like this coffee shop, but their main brick and mortar stores are all in the loop so I don't get to have it very often. This location has been open for about a year. The store is pretty small and is really designed for grab and go. There are 3 barstools for patrons to sit, but the bar seating is pretty much right near the edge of the store. I've had the Iced Island Latte a couple of times and it's really good and very pretty! The staff is always friendly. One time I stopped in right before they were closing (without realizing it), and the barista still took my order. They close at 8 pm daily. Luce Ave is expanding and they're coming to Pearland soon which I'm looking forward to. I hate grocery shopping, but at least Luce makes the grocery store experience more tolerable.

A bit of a pain to have to go into HEB just for coffee but man Luce knows how to do coffee. They have such unique combinations but I feel the brick and mortar shops would fare better and attract more clientele. They are a bit pricey so it's definitely more of a splurge treat. It's a small shop with limited seating, no actual tables so I'm assuming most people don't stick around like most coffee shops. Service is quick as it was not busy at all when I went. I got the iced island latte which has a nice pandan note and oh so creamy with absolutely no bitterness. Great option if you're in the area.

This spot is inside an HEB so I was a little worried when I first pulled up to the HEB parking lot.

The line was short, and I had no idea what I wanted, but the person taking my order offered a few great suggestions. I ended up choosing the Brunette hot. When I pulled up to the window, my drink was not ready yet, but Alma immediately engaged me in conversation while I waited. We talked coffee, her favorite 7 Brew drinks, matcha, and even how it was Swag Day at another location in Texas City and how the shirts are so cute. She was so warm and genuine that I completely forgot there was a wait. I truly appreciated stepping out of the hustle and bustle for a moment and just connecting with someone. Alma's energy, passion, and ability to make customers feel welcomed will absolutely bring me back. I do not live in the area, but anytime I am taking my daughter to cheer and need a pick me up, I will be stopping at 7 Brew all because of Alma.

As a customer, this is unacceptable behavior as a good businesses doesn't throw employees away and then cover it up with gossip and contradictions. If this is how they treat management internally, I can only imagine how disposable regular employees are considered. It says a lot about a company when they can't treat loyal employees with honesty or respect. Customers only see the drinks -- they don't see the toxic management culture behind the counter. Potential employees should think twice before applying here. Drinks aren't worth supporting a workplace culture like that.

The cookie was baked to soft perfection. I went with a friend who thankfully knew to join the waitlist about an hour before we planned to arrive, which made the wait very manageable. Had we not known that important little tip, we probably would've been waiting close to an hour. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience, and I'd definitely go back again.

However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.
