This place is definitely hit or miss. Would say that it averages closer to a 3.5 than a 4. Of note, the line swing around the perimeter of the shop. You order from the far side of the counter your beverage before going up to the cashier for the rest of your order. I bit confusing since there wasn't any actual signage or barrier that would signal that. Obviously less of an issue for future visits. The lattes are definitely good. The specialty beverages are more likely to be misses than hits. They had a Vietnamese cold brew and honestly it was one of the worst attempts that I have tried. Really it just tasted like really sweet milk with a dash of coffee flavoring. I have tried some of their winter special drinks and those are usually better. Would definitely recommend with sticking to a traditional drink for more consistency sake. It can take some time to get drinks depending on how busy they are. It's ranged from 5-20 minutes from my experience. Food wise would recommend the bagel with salmon spread. They give quite a bit of spread that it's definitely enough to fully cover both halves independently. The bagel with avocado spread would be a close second. Honestly wouldn't recommend. Immediately walking in, the layout was disorienting with how close the line was to the door. Another review mentioned computer campers, and I get it now- the seats inside were filled by people on their devices and no drink in sight. Reading the menu was a scavenger hunt, and although the prices weren't too bad, the whole café looked like the same copy paste cookie cutter nonsense. All the employees looked the exact same, all the coffee looked the same, and somehow all the foods looked the exact same as well? We got two medium chais, one with oat milk and the other with almond. To start, the ratio of Chai to milk was egregious, it was as if flavor was a suggestion. The Chai with almond milk tasted like bad cardamom water, and the one with oat milk tasted like cinnamon toast crunch milk. Normally I absolutely down drinks, but it stayed full with me all the way home until I could fix it. Carved out some time to work at a coffee shop and I thought this place was big enough to accommodate. Lots of space but also lots of folks as well. This was in the early afternoon, which typically is not too busy in most coffeehouses. There were times when it was also quite loud. As for the coffee, I waited while multiple other folks who ordered after me got their drinks. When I approached the counter, they said that they remember the order and that it was made. I stopped here on a whim while waiting for my Yummy Yummy takeout order to be ready across the street. Always on the hunt for a coffee shop to do work or schoolwork in, I noticed the ambiance, first. The ambiance was buzzing. It was loud and chaotic. Multiple groups of people seated at a long table and all talking over one another. The space inside was cramped and crowded. Mind you, it was a rainy day and it looked like the place was designed to accommodate more people outside, so this may have been a one time experience. The tea latte I ordered was DELICIOUS. And not every place is good at making tea lattes. I was so pleased with it and would happily return for another to-go order. Been here twice for coffee, tea, and bagels. The coffee was very nice, particularly their seasonal special, the honey rose latte; super tasty. They have a huge selection of tea options. They don't have any juices and their bagels were good, but not toasted enough and don't come with enough cream cheese for how big they are. But in review of the several times that I have visited this business, I will note that I experienced lousy - and in a couple of instances - downright unpleasant customer service; employee training? Incompetence was on full display more than once -- but that was okay with me because I realize that it can take time and experience to acquire skills in this setting. Staff was friendly. On the outside it has a good vibe, but on the inside it's uncomfortable energy and not welcoming. Their espresso shots are dead, which leaves the drink tasting like garbage. I had noticed the barista set aside a shot of espresso that hadn't been used in a previous order. The shot sat there for MINUTES and then she used that old dead shot for my drink. When I'm paying high prices for a treat to myself, I would rather it taste fresh and yummy and not like burned tar. Definitely would never go back. read more

I love that they treat my daughter like they would any grown up paying customer, with the perk of jelly beans on her kid! The blueberry muffin is a must have treat! Good coffee. Excellent patio, they have an astounding variety of beans for purchase that were locally roasted. Lots of branded stuff for sale, with a fun logo. I'm visiting from another state and almost impulse bought some of their stuff just for the good logo. Lots of college students studying, and I can see why. Who doesn't love good coffee, great patio, and a proper coffee shop feel. Oh and the patio is very very very dog friendly with friendly dogs with owners who are ok with you loving on their dogs. I've lived in Corvallis for 5 years and I've never been to Coffee Culture. [+] I came to order an extra hot, extra caramel caramel macchiato. It's a typical drink I order at coffee shops. This place definitely did not need the 'extra caramel' because it was way too sweet, which only means one thing- they make it just perfect for my taste. (Well, I've got to go there a second time to confirm that). Lovely customer service and great atmosphere; love the decors. I couldn't ask for more. [-] I don't think I have any dislikes. The reason why I didn't give it full five stars: there's nothing that POP out at me that makes a bold statement that says, 'come to this place to spend your money every morning when you need your dose of caffeine'- Just another coffee shop. I love this coffee! It is consistently good. The wait is always more than I'd like, but the taste keeps me coming back. Today was particularly bad. Waited 30 mins for 2 iced americanos. Coffee Culture continues to operate two drive-thru locations in Corvallis. This is the first venture into a sit down establishment, and they have done quite a nice job of bring it all together. An abundance of both drink and pastry selections as well as choices for a light lunch. The atmosphere and ambiance is very nice and actually exceeds Starbucks and local favorite Alan Brothers. The lighting is better, ambient noise level lower, and furnishings are of a higher quality. Check it out, I have the fortune of Coffee Culture being closer to my home than any other shop so I have been taking advantage of the free wifi and great staff quite regularly. read more

I showed up here because a shop I go to normally was packed to the point of no seats. I'm glad I came! The cashier was really kind and nice to talk with. The barista who made my latte did a wonderful job. I only wished they had 20oz drinks since I sit for a long time sometimes, but that's not going to stop me from coming back! I went around 11 and while there were plenty of people, seats seem to be available for the most part. When a client tells you you been given the wrong drink, a drink combo you order daily at their drive through location, you fix it, not gaslight them and make them take the mistake. In town for my daughter's lacrosse tournament at Corvallis High yesterday. Dropped them off and had NO idea where to grab a quick breakfast before the games began. Rolled down the window and asked someone grabbing a few things out of their car and she said, "As a matter of fact, that place across the street is fantastic. I'm heading there now." Great! We turned around and went in. Ironically enough, it was right next door to the pizza joint we ate at the night before: Woodstocks. So I will say this, if you didn't know what you were looking for or where it was located----this place might be hard to find. I mean, we would have driven by it several times if the gal didn't say it was right across the street. Friendly staff. Nice selection of baked goods and options for scrambles and breakfast burritos. I went for the Greek scramble with potatoes and some fresh squeezed OJ. My wife opted for a cup of regular coffee and an egg-n-cheese croissant. Finding the only open table and taking a seat, I surveyed the surroundings. I liked the decor and ambiance of the place. Pointing out to my wife how they could accomplish a different feel with various lighting and paint schemes. It was nice. Several people were obviously regulars as they sat enjoying a mocha or backed good while reading or visiting. Good vibes in here. I did notice the No Studying or Laptops on several tables. Kind of weird since this is a college town, but hey...I guess there are other places to "park your arse" for such activities. My fresh squeezed OJ was fantastic! My scramble was delicious and so were the potatoes. Not a huge portion, but that's okay....I'm trying to cut back anyway. It was enough. My wife said her croissant was microwaved a bit too long and was chewy. But otherwise okay. She still ate it all. Sitting there, I noticed several people's mochas and lattes had these really pretty designs on top in the foam. I wasn't in the mood for one, but I confess that it looked so Delicious, I ended up getting a Mexican mocha to go and take back to the stadium. By this time, the crowd was picking up and the line was definitely growing. I stood there admiring the care and craftsmanship they put into each coffee coming out. All of them looked wonderful. However, it did take a good 10 - 15 minutes for my Mexican Mocha to arrive. Worth the wait though. the search for free wifi brought me here. Coffee culture is a pretty decent coffee place with lots of space and polite baristas. seating is indoors and outdoors, the ambiance is relaxed and clean. I generally get latte. the coffee was good and service was quick. only con, depending on what time you come here, it could be super crowded or super empty. it can get really loud when its full and if you plan on getting some work done while sipping coffee, it wont happen. on the other hand, its perfect to meet friends. It's a toasted bagel. It's not a warmed bagel and not a heated bagel. I've tried 4 times now and they. just. can't. do. it. I get my order to go every time and disappointment wafts out of the little bag every time I open it. Cream cheese is always on the side so there's a bit of a construction process that goes along with all this. Please note CCR: toast the bagel, put said cream cheese on bagel, put bagel in bag...like every other bagel shop in the universe. Manager: since your employees are on their phones all the time anyway, have them Google "maillard reaction." They'll do it - kids love their Googling. This is what need to happen to toasted bagels. The building is new and the space is open, modern and clean but service is spotty because, hey - they're college kids and probably really aren't that interested in the details... like toasting a damn bagel. Personally, I've switched my business to Einstein's or New York bagel (I like to support NYB - kind Turkish family having a go at the franchise). They nail it every time. Pretty decently sized also, so you won't be bothered if your trying to hang out with someone. I'm no stranger to the hipster sense of entitlement that coffeeshops exude, but this was something entirely different. No social skills whatsoever. They messed up, I asked nicely to fix it.. or not charge me.. nope. Asked twice... still no... suppose I should know better than to ask here. Kid made me pay for the larger one regardless. Asked him if there was a problem and he said he was making fun of me and I should try not to think about it. (his name was Jostin or Dawson..) A few min later two old men couldn't get the other barista to respond (she wasn't busy, just avoiding eye contact with any customers + pretending not to hear). They ended up having to help themselves behind the counter. Other customer line leaned in and whispered that the employees were often surely. Their mochas are sooo tasty and wholesome without a lot of sweetness just the way I like it :) I often come here to meet up with friends to have coffee and play cards as a ritual (yea we sound old but it's the only time we ever get to hang out altogether). Other times I am here with my friend Jen to study or to catch up. The atmosphere is really nice, homey, and comfortable compared to DB and starbucks. Their food is yummy and made fresh especially their panini's. And it's soooo hard to stay away from their baked goodies. Freakin delish! The only problem I have coming here is the very strong and disparate smell of coffee. Usually I don't have that problem with other coffee shops like Red Horse but it sucks when I smell myself and I just smell coffee. Not my type of perfume to wear around. :T read more

Just finished up lunch and coffee with a couple friends and as always my latte was terrific, each of our lunches were right on and the service was as friendly as ever. My only complaint is the wireless internet service...just a pain in the a*$ to get connected to. I mean what is the real problem with having an unsecured connection like most coffee shops do now days? Thank god I invested in a WiFi card. To wrap up on a positive note this is always the best coffee I can find in town...I really appreciate the sticker they put on the sipping hole on the to go cups. Get some culture. read more
