Loved our experience here! It was super cozy with an abundance of seating, books and games, and a lovely and helpful staff. From the East Coast, we weren't familiar with Metolious Chai, which was kindly explained to us by the barista as an organic, creamy mix of spice (cardamom, ginger, and pepper) and I LOVED it. It added a great spice/warmth to the drink. I also got a bagel with cream cheese and it was toasted perfectly. The cream cheese was also thick and fresh. My mom also loved her traditional chai. Just a heads up, the Jefferson location has moved around the corner to Madison ave. GREAT COFFEE!! I loved the interior of this location. Super open with a bunch of seating, and very clean too! Excellent coffee and wonderful service. We had a big to-go order, including a couple indecisive kids. The staff were so patient and helped them with different suggestions. Great location in downtown. It had been a couple of years since my last trip to Corvallis. I have my usual coffee joints, but I stumbled on to CC after going to my usual place. They took over the former Starbucks location in downtown. In my 4 days in Corvallis I decided to split my allegiances, so I tried CC. Let's just say, you won over a new customer. Visited Corvallis for the first time and this coffee shop was the closest to our Airbnb and I'm so glad we decided to try them out! It's a small establishment with limited, counter-seating inside but there's plenty of tables, chairs and umbrellas outside. The service is kind, knowledgeable and efficient. They were patient with me as I browsed through their menu. I ended up ordering their quiche and pumpkin drink, and wow! DELICIOUS! The food was so good my husband and I went back the next day and ordered the same thing :) Can't wait to go back! read more

Visited here when having to make a long trip for a hospital. They geniuenly had some of the best chai I ever had and I simply cannot remember the name. But it was a local chai and the barista recommended it. If you love chai you'd be a big fan. The barista was so nice and helpful. The shop is very cute and cozy and even if it was a quick stop I'd love to go here again if I pass by. read more

The girl taking my order has helped me the last two times has had a very mopey and rude attitude. The most recent time, I took my family here for coffee and we waited for over 5 minutes without a greeting or acknowledgment while she was working on two other drinks. The iPad at the register was turned towards us with the menu pulled up, and since we had not been helped we assumed we should use the iPad to place our order. I guess this wasn't okay because she came over and whipped the iPad back and rudely said "I'll take that" and walked away without offering any assistance to our confusion, making us feel completely unwelcome. I took my family to another coffee place where we were treated with respect and received drinks worth the money. The blonde girl working Saturday should not be in charge of any customer service role. I recommend going to one of the other locations at the very least. read more

Maria at the downtown location is continually pleasant to see every so often when I have business downtown. Even when waiting for coffee as she prepares others drinks it doesn't feel like I'm waiting very long. She cleans and prepares the steamers and machines fast and thoroughly. I've never had a more pleasant interaction with a barista and I've been in the coffee game a long time. Aside from the individuals, I think having at least one other person helping would probably help speed things up and keep the atmosphere alive. I love this location and go out of my way to come to Downtown over the other ones. read more

This is the cutest little branch of Coffee Culture in Corvallis! Located right downtown, in a tiny little one-room building down the block from the Book Bin. During the week that I was back in town visiting family for Christmas, I stopped by this little Coffee Culture on three separate occasions. I tried their drip coffee, which is delicious. I had a latte, also excellent. And I had one of their shortbread chocolate chip toffee cookies, which was heavenly. During each visit, the baristas were friendly and skilled. Every visit was pleasant and enjoyable. My father is a big fan of this shop, he stops in here almost every day on his way to work. He is way more experienced with coffee than I am, and he says that they have some of the best drip coffee in town. He's been drinking coffee for longer than I've been alive, so he's probably right. Driving through on our way to the coast we found this place on Yelp. Nice location, very cozy, and employees were very friendly. Ordered a vanilla latte and it's way too sweet. Still trying to drink it after half an hour and only 1/4 of it gone. I'd highly recommend using less syrup in your drinks I would love to be able to taste the coffee. Coffee and pastries are great, but the baristas are bitches. My boyfriend and I are from out of town and I had never heard of coffee culture. I saw that the coffee beans had been roasted very recently so i inquired about it, having worked at a coffee shop while I was in school. We received our drinks and strawberry mint scone (delicious!) and sat at the bar. The girls then proceeded to talk shit about us while we were there (my boyfriend also had tipped nicely too). Love this place! I don't live far from downtown and like to take walks around--sometimes with the kids, sometimes solo. During the summer I take early morning strolls and stop off here for a caffeine pick-me-up to drink on my way home. During the school year, I browse some of the local shops then stop here for a sit down pastry and drink. I love the Coffee Culture lattes. And the iced Mochas are wonderful in the summer. It's really frustrating, we come here about once a week because we love the coffee! But, there are two baristas that are so unfriendly it makes us not want to go there anymore. I think they both have worked there for a long time so they should be able to recognize regulars and be fluent with greeting customers. We always try and strike up conversation and greet them and it's like pulling teeth to get a friendly hello out of them let alone a conversation. We hate to leave negative feedback but we hope in doing so their customer service may change or maybe the owner of this location can take notice of it. read more

I went there on a whim and decided to get a cappuccino. However, the drink was rather weak and the scone I got was rather dry and flavorless. Of course, nothing short of a bolt of lightning will get my jaded organs awake. Was it the worst coffee I had ever had, no, but in a day and age where every corner coffee shop is claiming to have the best coffee in the city, Coffee Culture will have to step up their game to compete even with the giants of Starbucks and Allen Bros. for a spot on any passerby's radar. read more
