Can't compare to prior to COVID and current ownership like some of the reviews here. I will say from a vibes, service, and coffee standpoint, I love Imagine Coffee. Small surface parking lot in front, and there is some more around the back. It's a fun environment with brick and white walls with plenty of things on the walls. Lots of seating available and a small fireplace along a wall. I ended up coming two days in a row since the coffee is solid. Got a Spanish latte and a regular latte. Highly recommend their regular latte, the Spanish if you have more of a sweet tooth, not my personal favorite. Service was fast and friendly. Definite a go to place for coffee! read more

Stopped by for a coffee and a pastry and left happy and caffeinated! I ordered an 8 oz latte with cardamom syrup and thought it was pretty much perfect- good beans, great milk texture, and perfect temperature (for me, anyway). I enjoyed the mugs, stickers and jewelry on display in their little retail section but could see the critique from folks saying it feels a little blank- it's a pretty big space, so it's hard to make it cozy and intimate. The blueberry muffin I ordered wasn't very sweet so it didn't quite hit the mark for me, but still fine. I was mostly impressed with the excellent coffee and friendly service. I also thought the prices were extremely fair- only spent about $7 for coffee and pastry combined when the drink alone could be that at other shops. Great energy, overall. read more

We were on our way to the coast for the weekend, and needed a coffee stop on our way out. Trying to avoid the big corporate locations, we opted for Imagine, which is a cute coffee shop between Corvallis and Philomath. My wife and I shared a big "monster" cookie, and both got vanilla lattes. The coffees were prepared quickly, and we found a high table in the corner to sit at. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and this latte was easily one of the best I've ever had. The coffee flavor was smooth, and definitely present, without any hint of bitterness or burnt notes -- and the vanilla flavor was rich, but not overly sweet. Came in for the coffee and enjoyed a blueberry muffin and chicken panini sandwich. The sandwich was around 10usd and enough to split between 2 adults. Breve I ordered extra hot and came with beautiful artwork. People are studying in small groups or siting solo with ear buds. A mix of older clientele and college. The seating at the fireplace creates a nice ambiance. Music is peppy but not overly loud. The owner greated us and we welcomed the wonderful service of the staff and ownership. WiFi is problematic! I have been here a few times, most times I cannot connect to their Guest WiFi. Not with my MB Pro M1 or with my iPhone 13. I am an IT professional and manage networks for clients. I Tried for 40 minutes to connect to the internet using every trick in and outside the book to connect. Nothing worked. I discovered an EERO extender with a blinking orange light so I took the liberty to power cycle it. Still no internet. Please buy a decent router capable of handling the traffic of all your guests. At a minimum a Synology RT6600AC or better yet Ubiquity router and WiFi Access points. Just turning it on is not sufficient, you need do do some configuration to separate the Guests from your main network and then some other steps to make it a smooth experience. Not coming back until I find out these household EERO's are gone. BTW your pastries can use improvement as well.. read more

Gorgeous coffee shop with hipster vibes. The interior is massive and surrounded by beautiful art pieces. Plenty of room to lounge or set up a laptop. I got a vanilla soy latte and a raspberry cheese Danish, both delicious. The batista actually brought my coffee and Danish over to me which was a nice touch. read more

This place has changed immensely since the new owners took over 1-2ish years ago. It used to be warm and inviting. Now it's colder and blank. No offense to the new folk. But there is no local art on the walls anymore. No bright or lively colors around the place. It's soooooo different. The coffee is okay, but they no longer have toddy's (cold espresso shots). I loved the vibe the old Imagine Coffee gave. I'm sure new folks enjoy this place but not sure the regulars go back. read more

Right on Highway 34, this is in the part of Corvallis that feels like you're still in Philomath. I've passed it countless times before my mom pointed out one day that she'd tried it and thought the coffee was good. We stopped on our way to Portland on a Saturday around 10am. It was busy! The room is actually pretty big with a lot of tables and funky atmosphere, art and such. I think it would be good for writing or people watching or meeting a friend. Thumbs up for the atmosphere. Families, groups, people alone, old and young, it seems like everyone was gathered here. There was a line, however, and a befuddled woman running the register. She literally didn't know how to do anything and it seemed a bad time for training or inexperience. I wasn't impatient for my coffee, I mostly just felt bad for this woman who seemed so overwhelmed and flustered. Finally, after about three transactions, someone came out to help but still left her at the register. She couldn't work the credit card machine and seemed like someone who has never before taken coffee orders. Bizarre! There were at least two people working the espresso machine and another two people in the kitchen. When we got through the line, our coffees came out really fast. We sat down expecting to stay a minute but they were up and so we left. Overall, they were not very hot. Too much milk in the espresso drink. Decent flavor but not really impressed. The temperature thing is weird, given that the drinks hadn't sat around or anything. Granted, it felt like an off day for Imagine Coffee so I might try them again. read more

Was once a great local coffee shop that gave off a mellow, chill, artistic atmosphere. Ever since the new owners took over back in mid-2020 or sometime, the place has gone downhill. The walls used to be filled with all sorts of art from local folks. Not anymore. Now it's just kitschy bed bath and beyond consumer art. And the lighting! Why does it have to be sooo bright?? I used to go in there and feel like I was in a cool jazz club with low mood lighting. Now I feel like I'm waiting to get a cavity filled.. And what is with the christian aesthetic? The sign on the outside with a quote from "God" is a little nauseating, but that's just my opinion and not necessarily a hit against the place. Ugh. I miss the old Imagine. I miss rainy afternoons drawing on the tables drinking cheap tea as the speakers played synth rock or elliot smith or jazz. I miss meeting other artists and musicians there. I miss the atmosphere. One of the online views of it says "Indie coffee shop with a quaint, intimate atmosphere featuring frequent community & cultural events." But this describes the former ownership. I used to go there 2-3 times a week. There was a selection of different coffees and blends, as well as many pastries. I went back for the first time last week, and the warmth and local flavor of the shop was gone. The only pastry available was a single cinnamon roll, which was not bad. The coffee was undrinkable. There seemed to be only one blend available, and I could not finish my cup because it tasted so bad. When I asked the brand of coffee bean, I thought I heard the word Dragon followed by another word. The snarky side of me wondered if it was Dragon Dung, but whatever it was, I would never buy another cup of coffee there. Fortunately, it is surrounded by a lot of housing units so the lack of my business will have no effect on their success. This is the best coffee shop in Corvallis, OR by a long shot. After tireless searching, we gladly called Imagine our home away from home. The atmosphere is relaxing but allows for any work to be done, or a simple catch up with friends. The artwork on the walls is constantly changing, promoting local artists and giving us something lovely to look at. Imagine even offers its patrons the same chance to be creative by providing a large piece of white paper and colored pencils on each of the tables. The staff are some of the friendliest people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Many times I could not decide on what to drink and they jumped at the chance of making a surprise! This is an amazing coffee shop! If you go, ask for a Toffee Crackle Mocha and enjoy it there to get the full effect of everything Imagine has to offer. I was introduced to Imagine Coffee a few short months ago. I play the pennywhistle, so I traveled there one Tuesday evening for the weekly Celtic Jam. What a pleasant surprise! I wish, desperately, that Imagine Coffee was nearer to my home in Albany. I would be there every day. There are books. There is internet. There is art - on the walls. Sometimes being created right then and there. Plenty of seating, at tables and couches and chairs. They have food (yum, quiche!) and great house coffee. They even have agave syrup for sweetening your coffee. It is a *great* venue for the Celtic Jam. Plenty of space for all of us, with good high ceilings so the noise doesn't get overwhelming (have you ever heard 4 accordions going at once? wow.) It is a comfortable coffee shop. I love it. I can't say enough good things about it. Come visit on Tuesday nights around 7pm, and enjoy our music. We're not pro, but we're having fun. :) read more
