I LOVE diner food and i was so glad to come across this diner during my travel to get my dog! You choose your own seating and a waiter comes to you! The menu has the right amount of food options to get at a diner and the prices were soooo cheap compared to New York City! My friends and i were in heavy! Our waitress was so charismatic and added to the experience. With diner food, you really can't miss because the food is supposed to be good and feel cozy. My turkey sausage omelette was sooo delicious. I put cheese, tomato and spinach in it and i don't know what cheese they used but it was soooo good! The hash browns were also cooked the way i liked them! My friend ordered the one singular pancake and it was sweet without syrup but perfect with syrup. And not pictured is the coffee i ordered but the coffee was no frills and hit the spot! Would highly recommended going here and would love to come back! read more

It has that familiar, older style diner type of feel - no frills, but homey. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is all very good - basically what you'd expect from this type of establishment. The portions are generous. I'd love to see more combination options, as opposed to having to piecemeal an order together, but there are plenty of standard options to consider. I'm always happy to see biscuits in sausage gravy on a menu, so that's obviously one of my go-to options. Overall, a solid option for a reasonably-priced, traditional breakfast. read more

It's rare that a breakfast joint actually has a good cup of coffee, but thankfully this place lived up to its name. After flying in at 5:30 in the morning from Fort Lauderdale, I was in desperate need of decent coffee and lots of it. I had a Small Mess (eggs, potatoes, Turkey sausage, onions and peppers) and it was more than enough food, hot, fresh and really tasty! One friend had a Scrapple Mess (still not entirely certain what exactly it is). While it wasn't bad, it's just not for me. My other friend had Cream Chipped Beef with potatoes and omg that was very yummy too!! Our waitress was fantastic! She was helpful without being overbearing and kept the piping hot coffee coming! The restaurant has a very welcoming, classic diner ambiance. It's much larger than it appears from the front of the building and everything was quite clean. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I'm in town! read more

One of the best hole in a wall breakfast places. You know a place has to special when it opens at 4:30. This place to earth staff with a hometown feel to it. My sister and I took our 75-year-old father to coffee cup for breakfast today to celebrate his birthday. The place was packed because they have been closed for the last 3 days due to a tremendous flood that hit the town of Downingtown very hard. Everything was great the food was exceptional our waitress was one of the best I've ever had and when I mentioned that it was our dad 75th birthday she brought over a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie that literally had more chocolate chips on it than I've ever seen in my life. Long time customer here, but haven't been since before COVID. Went yesterday for daughter's 18th birthday. So VERY disappointed to see a TOTAL lack of social distancing/spacing enforced--every seat (including counter seating-cheek by jowl-every single seat!) was being used. And this is NOT a big restaurant, so it was every bit as "full" as it always is. Lots of customers walking to/fro with either no masks on or way down below their noses. Having been to a total of maybe 10 restaurants total (indoor and out) over the past year, I expected more. It was the first time I have felt unsafe in a restaurant. This is the only place I've been to that has been so slipshod about safe COVID practices, or even trying to space things out--if it wasn't for daughter's Bday, I would have walked. I think I made the mistake of building this place up. I've been meaning to come here for a year or two. Finally tried the "mess" with ham and all the veggies. Looked and smelled awesome. After a few bites, it was exactly what I thought it would be. Its was huge and good. But as I was eating, I realized I made something very similar the day before. Eggs with potatoes and onions. That's when it went downhill. It ended up being just ok. We also ordered home fries which tasted like bubble gum and dish soap detergent. Trust me on that, I was thinking about this for a while. Service was great, but only to certain tables. We weren't one of them. Worth trying, not returning. It looks really crappy when you drive by on route 30 but inside it looks like a classic diner with TV's. CASH only. read more

I have been going to Coffee Cup since high school. My Wife and our 5 children have been to Coffee Cup since they were in car seats. Coffee Cup is like going in to see family. There is no better breakfast place. If I eat pancakes anywhere else I get angry. The pancakes are the best! Sitting at the counter with my family is the best experience. I ordered two eggs, sausage and toast. I subbed grilled tomatoes for the hashbrowns. The total was $9 and change. All in all, good food,comfortable atmosphere, friendly people. I did love this place and was always great breakfast but after so many times things go wrong I give up.. I always end up with someone's food from another meal in my sandwich or mess, the coffee cake came with half a side with nuts on it before and now I have gotten 2 stumps for the same price twice and what drove me to the end was food poisoning.. I got a burger from them and it was pathetic tasted worse than a gas station burger and the onion was so wrong I sadly didn't notice till half way in when I had to put it down because my stomach felt like lava hit it.. that's when I lifted the top bun and could smell how old and nasty it was and when I tell you I threw up, I threw up so hard afterwards I almost passed out.
