My wife and I went to Penn's Table for a late breakfast. I got the Spicy Mexican 3 Egg Omelette and my wife an order of Avocado Toast with tomatoes and spinach. The food was really good and they tried their best to handle my wife's vegan and gluten free diet. Unfortunately, we found a tiny bit of cheese and bacon pieces in her spinach which is why I removed a star. We didn't get a really good look at the inside of the restaurant as we chose to eat outside. We will return. read more

I have been going to Penn's Table since I was a kid and it is very much a family favorite of ours (especially for my dad). The food is always great but the people and the amazingly welcoming vibes are really what makes this place special. They just reopened this weekend after a renovation and I'm not quite sure how they did it because the look is updated and they are offering some new items (including dinner which I cannot wait to try) but the place feels exactly the same in the best way! It looks great inside but we got the same warm welcome, awesome food, and comfortable laid back vibe. It's is the perfect Saturday morning breakfast spot and a true West Chester staple! My husband had a very good Bloody Mary and we all really enjoyed the bacon popcorn appetizer. We all loved our meals and the dessert was delicious. The staff/owner were so friendly and welcoming. This restaurant has good banana pancakes, syrup, biscuits, coffee and bacon. But the most outstanding thing about this place is the service. We had take out two times. The first time, Ryan, the owner's son, helped us. He was very friendly, and I truly believe he likes his job. He would be a good restaurant owner in the future. A week later, Maria, with the nice eye makeup, brought out the meal to us. She was also quite amiable, and offered us future food suggestions I peered into the restaurant though the window and it looked stylish. Went here the other day with a friend around noon and was so happy to find out that they serve breakfast all day! We are huge breakfast fans so we ordered breakfast food items even past morning time. I got the Penn's Table Favorite to try something new and it did not disappoint. Though, I do regret not getting something else to pair it up with, like some homefries or bacon. But it was delicious! Would definitely recommend. Everything was fairly priced for what you were getting, but especially for west Chester. Our waitress was super kind and attentive and I'm pretty sure she was the only server in the restaurant at the time and she was doing a great job. The inside is typical of a diner, I love how the windows bring in some nice sunlight throughout the entire restaurant. Would love to come back here again sometime soon! read more

Finally stopped in here for a quick lunch and what a nice spot. The inside is comfortable and feels like you're home; you're transported away from the hustle of downtown West Chester. I ate here about 3 times since it first open. I went here for breakfast, and the food is overrated . It's definitely not quality. Eggs had shells in them once , bacon was either to well done or not done at all. One time I was pretty sure my plate had just came straight from the dish room and was not dry, under the omelet was water that made my breakfast have a dish washer smell to it. So after 3 times of coming here twice dealing with a weird smell on my food and egg shells in my omelet I finally complained and they didn't charge me for my breakfast and threw it in the garbage which is where it belonged smelling like that. Don't believe the hype. This place is just many of restaurants that have no clue how to make decent food. Stay away from here, I am amazed they are packed like they are, people in West Chester must have no taste buds at all. read more

Penn's Table is a solid place to get a good breakfast in West Chester. We went a couple of weeks because our favorite breakfast place was closed for vacation. We were pretty impressed by the food and wowed by the super friendly staff (hi Ryan and Maria) that were so welcoming. Penn's Table has a lot of dining options. You can eat inside at a table or at the counter or outside at one of the many tables during warmer weather. Or if you're COVID paranoid like us, you can do take out and eat in the comfort of your own car. We tried the banana pancakes which were very good. And they were even better with extra bananas. They were fluffy, albeit a bit spongy textured and had a little buckwheat taste to them, but they lacked the homemade buttermilk and vanilla flavors that our usual breakfast joint features. Please note, we're complete absolute banana pancake snobs, so for just about everyone out there these pancakes will do just fine because they are better than the other places in town that we have tried (except for one lol). The pancakes are served with delicious maple syrup and the bacon we had was perfectly cooked. The biscuit we tried was really good too. So if you're tired of dining at one of the mini-chains in town and are looking for a good breakfast with super super friendly folks, Penn's Table is a great option. read more
