Overall the sandwich is very good. I ordered an Italian and a Reuben. The Italian is well stacked with meats, the Reuben much less so. But both delicious. The bread is too soft to hold the sandwich in your hands without making a mess, especially when ordered "hot." Added to that the flimsy paper wrap makes it hard to eat on the go. What really would prevent me from coming back is the inefficiency of the staff. The wait was a little too long. I had two cups of water in my hands, and while she clearly saw me waiting on one side of the counter, she made it a point to leave the bag on the opposite. Stopped by 0930 on a Friday 4 diners Coffee was VG Food orders were 25% correct 3 diners had missing ingredients, or orders not prepared as ordered 2 orders were corrected, 1 order, a tomato sandwich which had been ordered with toasted bread came untoasted, when we asked that it be prepared as ordered we were told " that sandwich we don't do toasted " ?!?!? It was bread, it toasts! We didn't push any further as the counter personnel didn't seem to understand the " toast" concept or be inclined to correct the order. Good spot for morning breakfast and coffee! Quick in and out service. Clean from what I can tell and the locals seem to like it decently packed in the morning. I've been here a handful of times for coffee, but most recently to work since my WiFi went out for a day. I work remote, so imagine my frustration when my WiFi company experienced a full day outage. I wanted to go somewhere with good coffee and free parking. Coffee Deli was incredibly quiet, even though every table was taken by someone with a laptop. The seating is ample, there are outlets at every table near a wall, and the food and coffee are great! I ordered an egg and cheese bagel and an iced coffee. This place was okay. It my favorite coffee shop, and perhaps it's because it's a little more than a coffee shop? There is tons of parking. And the the seats along the walls have tons of outlets. The layout makes sound travel, so be mindful if you're coming here to work. The drink options are also okay. I tried to customize my drink and it just didn't come out well. I should have stuck to a premade option. I do love that there's ton of parking, outlets, and space. But it doesn't give traditional coffee shop energy. Cute location though! read more

Stopped by this morning for a quick bite and coffee. The line was to the door, and i still ordered in about 5-7 minutes. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. It wasn't too loud, just busy with all the morning breakfast coffee crew! They have a nice cushioned waiting area for takeout orders, with magazines and local event flyers as well. Nice touch. I tried the everything bagel, with their blueberry cream cheese. The blueberry cream cheese was soft and fresh, with whole berries - I loved it! The bagel on the other hand was a bit undercooked and soft, not the best i've ever had for sure. Bakery items looked very fresh and delicious though. I also got a turtle coffee, and that was delicious. I love that they have different signature drinks you can't find anywhere else! My second review - third visit. Visited at around 10 am in a Tuesday. Very busy but did not have to wait long to order my Americano and smoothie. Order was ready pretty promptly considering the crowd. I'd say about 75% full so definitely popular. Lots of people meeting friends, a few working from the cafe. The 4 stars is really only due to one customer who was making business calls - slightly annoying since often people talk louder on the phone than if with live company. Definitely prefer early time frame for crowd control. Service and quality of coffee and smoothie was very good. read more

Here is an update to the update to the original. They improved the layout by moving the ordering counter to the far side from the door. They can now have a line with 7-10 people. They only have 1 register which slows the ordering but the breakfast sandwich and chicken sandwiches were super quick. It's now same great food. They are waiting on art work that would help the bare walls. The expanded seating gives them seating for 55 or so. This is a great place for a quick cup of coffee, sandwich and treat. Not a Kosher Deli but one of the best Savannah Deli's around! read more

I also got a cinnamon dolce latte (I can't remember the exact name tbh) which was great as well. This place is calm and quite and makes very good home made cream cheese spread. My roommate and I got everything bagels toasted with fresh onion spread and they were soooo good. She got the almond joy latte and I got the French toast specialty latte. I thought French toast was delicious very flavorful without being overly sweet. My roommate said hers was good but wasn't exactly the almond joy flavorful she had in mind. Overall a very pleasant experience and we plan to go back the next time we visit Savannah. read more

I love this coffee shop. I first came here over five years ago when I was visiting a friend in Ardsley Park. I came for the coffee (obviously) but keep coming back for the muffins. I'm not one to seek out a muffin but the cappuccino chocolate chunk caught my eye so whenever I'm on this side of Savannah I check in to see if they have any. Definitely a friendly neighborhood coffee deli, I could tell most people who came in were regular customers from the businesses around or the people living in the neighborhood. I came in during lunch time and got the chicken curry salad with a cold brew- both were good and perfect lunch portion size. If you like curry flavor, definitely try the salad and you have the option to get it either on bread or a bed of greens. The place was a little busy and loud during lunch time but the service was quick. They have enough tables inside and two tables outside but most people were ordering things to go. They also have an extensive catering menu - I had someone cater food from them before and everything they got was very good! Why did I just discover this place? I have been on the search for delicious bagels in Savannah for quite some time, and I finally found exactly what I was looking for at Coffee Deli! It is officially my new go-to place for bagels and green smoothies. I actually stumbled upon this place one lazy Saturday while browsing UberEats. A delicious sausage, egg and cheese bagel could be delivered to the comfort of my home? Yes please! I immediately ordered and had no regrets. I requested it on an everything bagel, which was a great decision- it was so flavorful and yummy! The eggs were fluffy and the sausage was a little spicy... mmmm. I am so in love. I loved it so much in fact that I ended up driving there the following weekend to get the exact same bagel sandwich. I also got the power green smoothie, which made me feel like I was super healthy (lolz) but was actually really tasty, too. The staff was friendly, and the inside was clean and cute. Coffee Deli is one of my go to coffee shops for getting some study time. I love their baked goods! Banana nut bread is my personal favorite, but they also have a variety of muffins, cookies and danishes that all look amazing. Their sandwiches are great; I'm a sucker for the chicken salad and even better is their curry chicken salad. Also be sure to check out the different quiches they have that day! I had their brie, bacon, caramelized onion quiche, and I cannot wait to eat another! The coffee shop has free wifi and is very well lit since they have giant windows which are great for people watching as well (a common distraction for me when I'm studying). I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the grouchy staff. I travel a lot for work and I try to keep an open mind at every place I visit. My co-worker and I decided to try their breakfast since it was across the street. No warm greeting except for a harsh glare when we walked in. It took us a minute to look at the menu and one of the staff rolled her eyes at us because we weren't ready. When we finally ordered and got our food, the breakfast sandwich came out quick but majority of it was cold. It was okay. Also I ordered a power smoothie; that was amazing and refreshing. The prices are high but it was a local business. I highly support local businesses but first impressions of this place makes me not want to come back. Hopefully it'll improve. read more
